finally plat'd Sorcery Saga.
if you're looking for a casual pick up and play never-gonna-die roguelike (so easy it's sort of zen), or want to take a baby step into the genre, it's worth a shot. i had a lot of fun with it. if you're experienced (like i am) you might be put off by it's simplicity. the closest game i can think of to it is actually the free 'adventure bar labyrinth' on psmobile. dungeon design is barebones, there's only like 10 enemies color palleted to hell and back, and the magic system is absolutely broken (read: useless)... but it still manages to be a fun time kill.
The plot is silly but actually funny at times. Reminds me a bit of the 'nice' Atelier series, but with a more comedic bent. There's no real evil to stop, you're just trying to make good curry and meet the curry god.
if you don't care about the plat, and you just want an easy time burning roguelike to get powerful in and crush enemies, you could do worse.
the plat, however, is a m'

. you need to upgrade all weapons/shields to level 5. That's around 75-100+ high level kills per weapon. You also need to die 50 times. But since you never die, that's an hour of forced dying. Oh, and you need every rare item. Oh, and you need to max every spell, with super rare spell books (some up to level 5, meaning you need 5 super rare books). There are workarounds that make this not -quite- as painful as it sounds, but it's still a bunch of time playing unfun lotto. (go into dungeon, use 20 'change item' scrolls, if no success, reload dungeon in a way that keeps your items and redo).
given all the above caveats, i'd actually recommend the game to the right people (aka those still somewhat interested after they read 'easy roguelike').
