Yeyeye let's do AO. I wanted to at least try it legit but couldn't find a game. I'd be down to play a real game or two in the middle or before boosting if anyone's down, though. (It's pretty dumb to just immediately boost a game before actually trying it.)

I rented it and wasn't blown away. It was somewhat boring.

I'll be picking up TLOU Remastered as well (have it on PS3 too but I need the DLC) and would be down to play some MP since I skipped it on PS3. If you guys dont mind a newcomer to the MP side of the game, my PSN is Garrus_Lannister

I''m still on the fence about Destiny though. I have an LE preordered at Best Buy but the beta didnt blow me away very much and I highly doubt I'll do anything related to the expansion pass. If any CAG's are interested maybe we can work out a deal.

Also need to start one of the following PS3 games out of the backlog:

  • Infamous 2
  • Enslaved
  • Bioshock Infinite
  • Metro Last Light
  • Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen

I'm game for that. I just usually dont touch the MP on most games, so it doesn't bother me. I would have never played the Bio MP at all.

Damn I want to see it and almost went on Friday but was being a cheap bum. I just saw the new Apes movie on Monday so I was trying to cut costs. I'm definitely seeing Guardians of the Galaxy and probably Sin City 2 in theaters. Those stellar reviews have me hyped!

I'd place Lucy and Sin as must see, Guardians as the if you have the cash, burn it and see it. Lucy, I can not wait to plat... watch again.

 
Oh yeah, did any of the regulars here get in on the $300 360 trade in at BB this morning? I had some family stuff to do so I couldn't pick up a 360 from GS till noon and BB is 90 minutes from my house. Was about to head out the door when I saw the deal had died.

I was hoping with a 15gb install there wouldn't be anything extra. I also thought after I posted that..."Oh yeah, duh, this is the game they refused to even fix the bugs on, of course there's probably no update."

Several people I work with have been saying how disappointing Lucy was.

Guardians is a must see for me regardless of how it turned out, but based on impressions that have been circulating its pretty fantastic.

 
LUCY looks dumb as hell but Scarlett johansseln...lawd have mercy. That is beautiful woman.

Yo. Seriously. I love this movie. Wish I had seen it in theaters (shot in 70mm). Joaquin killed it. Hoffman was a fucking god among men. I'm tempted to really go in and try to sell you on it but I'm a fan of anything P.T. Anderson spits out. You didn't even like There Will Be Blood??? Son...

Yeah the plot is nonexistent. And it's slow as hell. I'm not going to lie, my girlfriend fell asleep but that's okay though. Basically ..it's a long ass character study. If you're cool with that I say give it a shot.

Has anyone here seen Enemy with Jake Gyllenhal? It's weird because I can't say I really liked it. Or disliked it. It's just...freakinng fascinating. It'll probably go up on Netflix soon since it had a limited release. Worth seeing.

I thought it was brilliant, though I had similar frustrations late game with those knifers (who I was tempted to accidentally on purpose misspell again because I'm still laughing over it).

Lucy is deep. And now that you mention it, yes, it is a character study too, among other things. Scarlet is pretty, but her performance... Haven't watched Under the Skin yet, but Her and Lucy have made my opinion of Scarlet as an actress skyrocket to the top.

A must see... It won't be crap, but it won't top Iron Man 1 (Which no marvel movie has topped, in my opinion).

I almost rented that when I rented Under the Skin. They both looked like weird movies so I didn't want to pack a night with them. Maybe I'll rent it this weekend.

I'm positive I'll enjoy Lucy. I loved Her too. If those movies made her skyrocket to the top then Under the Skin will bring her to the bottom. Like I said, I'm a fan of weird/indie films but this one was boring and I did not enjoy it.

Already done. And I found a better tip: After avoiding the uber-bomb attack by flipping over the railing and immediately flipping back up, run to the one spot on the entire field where none of his attacks can hit you and hide there only to pop up after his missile-spam onslaught and shoot as many Stingers as possible. :razz:

I started playing later than planned due to family stuff, so I had to stop right at the MG Ray fight (which I attempted 5 times already :headache:) since I have work in the morning.

So I guess you didn't read my post in support of it? :roll: Spec Ops is easily among the most underrated games I've ever played, and I love its treatment/judgment of the shooter genre.

Haha you're lame for misquoting me but l laughed. LUCY might be alright but like I said the premise looks dumb. First of all, it's bullshit that humans "only use a small percentage" of the brain. And even if if were true how would "unlocking" the rest turn her into a lost member of X-Men? Like I said, dumb. You've not said why it's worth seeing.

But I still love me some Scarlett. And I agree she's versatile. Great actress. I even watched Don Jon because of her. Ended up enjoying that.

I'll sometimes watch movies that I don't necessarily enjoy simply because they're interesting. So just fair warning. I don't want to spoil anything but some of it is left up to interpretation (particularly the end), which understandably pissed people off, lol.

Good call on not renting it the same night as Under the Skin, lol. Haven't heard much about this, actually. Just watched the trailer. Sucks you didn't like it since it looks kinda interesting.

I'm resisting the urge with every fiber of my being. I love TLOU mp dearly, but have burnt through my psn credit and general gaming budget at a record pace due to all the various sales this year.

 
If anyone wants those Injustice Vita trophies, seems like boosting is gonna have to be the way to go. Just sat for 20 minutes trying to get ranked matched and I got only one dude twice. Though it was 1AM so maybe the game was trying to tell me to get my stupid ass to bed.

Cuz it's a sweet game. I just got it on Android so that's why I've have it on my mind. There are a couple Shinies I don't think I'm gonna bother to try and get on the Android version.

Hmmm....based on our tastes usually being at the complete opposite ends of the spectrum, this may be the best encouragement I need to just skip it.

There Will Be Blood was okay, but it definitely dragged on in a lot of areas. Magnolia is my favorite move by him. Oh wait no, Boogie Nights by 100 miles over Magnoila. I forgot he did that one.

His ensemble cast movies seem to be way more entertaining than his character studies. Maybe he'll do a really good ensemble cast film again.

 
Well I stayed up all night watching Season 3 of Luther.  I really wish I could say that I liked it.  But I can't.  Definitely a drop-off from the amazing first two seasons.
