Why is it missing the next part after the click where the page won't load because steam server is down due to traffic load?

Tried that free Marvel Heroes 2015.

To sum this game up it's Marvel Diablo but with open hub worlds with mutiplayer events. It's really good for free, plus you get all the content, the f2p part is if you want to pay for more superheroes (although you do get tokens to get them for free in game).

My only complaint is it takes longer than I would like to farm tokens to unlock new heroes, but it is free.
If you get on their mailing list they send out limited time promotional codes for various free items in game. I've only actually played it a little but I keep accumulating the in game gifts. :p

Yeah I have a couple of free "Random hero/costume" boxes from promo codes, just put them in on the website and it stores them in inv next time you play.

Truth be told I'm glad MH exists. It's one of the few games that's entertaining that me nephews enjoy. I can't stand the other little kid crap they play and always want me to join on.

Wait, I didn't get a Steam key for Reversion - The Meeting added to my BIAB Cerebral Bundle.

The site shuts down on 8/8.

WTF!

I missed Mount Your Friends coming to Steam. One of my favorite Xbox games. I'll have to get the super extreme Steam version with added content.

The "Steam key" in your Desura collection should be your Desura key, which doesn't activate on Steam. That's how it is with mine, anyway. :(
I don't suppose you could ask the dev to see what he can do. :p

He supplied the bundle with a ton of Desura keys. Maybe he can enter those on Steam and make them redeemable there too. I think the Oniken dev did that.

I did that and went all the way up to the point where I logged into Facebook, and it locked up after that. After logging in, the Facebook page became a blank page that wouldn't load anymore. I tried with both of my "patsy" Facebook accounts since I don't have a real one, and they both did that.

Rejected my Facebook as not good enough so nuts to them.
Rejected your Facebook? What does that mean? Is like the problem I am having?

I've been playing Dead Island again (pf rewards) and must say it is not as bad as I remembered it.

The main problem I'm finding (besides sides that sound glitch) is that missions are somewhat shallow. Also the world is huge and there's no way to travel it fast (until now at least) and there are no marks on the map unless you select a mission.

Besides all that, I'm having fun with it. Weapons are good, sounds are great, enemies are well made and you get to kick Zombies with high heels.

Eternal Console Weeaboo why are you here again exactly?

And I will just say even when the Steam sales are kind of meh they're still a hell of a lot better than the prices I see console people paying when I notice those threads from time to time.

I just got to 999 games on my profile!  I'm probably going to hit 1000 this week.  Hoping for some decent sales.

Anyone have suggestions for 1000?

Bad Rats?
Perennial favorite. I have somehow managed to avoid contracting herpes adding Bad Rats until now...

I've been extremely tempted to nab a copy of Divinity: Original Sin from a trader, but I'm trying to hold off for a sale. I feel my CAG powers failing me.

My buddy and I have been playing for the the first time. For the price (the recent Steam sale) it isn't bad. I definitely agree the missions are shallow and it takes far too long to plan what quests you are going to tackle next but it's fun. Like a poor man's Borderlands or a sometimes homeless man's Borderlands.

You do get to drive around the island eventually BTW.

You've summed up my thoughts pretty well. I've enjoyed it this time around more than I thought I would. Still haven't snagged that "blow up a suicide zombie with a grenade" achievement yet but otherwise it's been pretty fun. Shallow is definitely the word I would use for the quests, though.

I'm afraid I can't help you. I paid 9 TF2 keys for it through SteamTrades.net and I couldn't be happier with it. My brief experience with it has been very promising - I just need to get the wife to stop dicking about on my main PC.

I'm so close to doing this. Just need to get some cheap keys.

I linked my Facebook account and it said it didn't "pass their spam filters". I'm guessing because it's a 'fake' account without a bunch of friends, posts, etc. Nothing for them to data harvest so they don't feel like rewarding me for giving them nothin'.

Oh my god, FTL Advanced Edition on Normal is so hard!!!!! I made it to Sector 8 and the second boss fight on my second run and I think that was a fluke, as I haven't made it past Sector 6 in many subsequent attempts.  I think the problem is the AE added so many new options and made certain of the old ones less of a win button (drones are much more vulnerable, hacking messes up everything), so it's very hard to be equipped to deal with everything well.  And once you start eating damage your ship can go down fast.  Anybody got any pointers?

Prior to FTL I was playing Orcs Must Die for the first time and enjoying it quite a bit until I had to start playing the levels on the easy difficulty setting to unlock the weapons and going back on normal to 5-skull them.  Got tedious, feeling like I had to use the same setup on every level.  Is it better in the sequel?

I found OMD2 to be a better game, but you must play it coop. Playing alone is really difficult.

I can't even beat it on easy :joystick:
I got pretty good at beating it on easy back before the update was released. Some of the things I picked up:

1. Scrap recovery arm ASAP

2. Teleport+strong attackers = tons of scrap

3. Lots of attack drones = good

4. Lots of lasers = good. You want the one that fires 3 shots for 2 power; that's the best value. Also the ion cannon that fires every 4 seconds. Never needed any of the other weapons.

5. Try to get crew members from different species for more blue events. Blue events always offer way better payouts.

6. Cloaking is good for dodging missiles and recharging weapons.

But with the advanced edition a lot of this is substantially weakened. There are many more weapons diluting the pool, making it more difficult to get the really good (read: broken) ones. Drones are expensive and vulnerable, and I tend to be too short on scrap to buff up in all areas - or there were the two games where I amassed 200 and 300 scrap and had nothing good to spend it on. Meanwhile the enemies were getting tougher and outclassing me. It's brutal! I'd like to get better at this and not have to blame the random encounter generator, but if I don't win a game soon I might lose patience. I'm playing as the Kruos A and it's not the easiest ship. Maybe I could be using it better.

Couldn't the same be said for platforming?

I hate platformers.
I used to like them but either I got old and started to suck or they got harder. Or both.

It also doesn't help that I have a couple of thousand other games to play instead of just that one like in the old days. When you know that's the only game you're going to get for some time you kind of get good at it by default instead of saying fuck this and moving on to something else.
