Yeah, I picked up Trails in the Sky on Tuesday and it's pretty much been the only game I've been playing all week.  Like the others said there were some issues on launch day (the game kept crashing for me during the intro and I had to watch it like 6-7 times before I finally made it through without a crash), but it's been running smooth since Wednesday.

I'm really enjoying the game though.  This was pretty much a blind buy for me since I had never played any version of it before, but I've always heard how good it was and wanted to support XSEED and any future Japanese games getting translated and ported to Steam.

I should also note that if you don't care about crafting badges the game features 13 trading cards with 7 drops and the cards are still selling for $.25 to $.30 each.  So you can potentially make a few dollars back in Steam bux.  :)

why is SimCity 4 Steam code rather than Origin code?

why there is mac version on Steam, but not on Origin?

complain to origin support about lack of mac version - get steam code? ;)

 
I bought Soul Suspect for $14.99 from gmg when I was drunk.  Big mistake.  I've played about 30 minutes of it so far and cant get into it

I know it's technically console talk, but two days ago, got a free game rental from Redbox. Platinum-ed Murdered: Soul Suspect that day. No money spent, but well worth 5 dollars, but the reviews are right. Shallow story, plot of the houses just serve to keep you from going places, low on challenge, and the ending is entirely predicable IMO. Also, not sure how it looks on next-gen consoles/high settings on PC, but the graphics, esp. the side characters, looked shitty.

Still enjoyable. Look for Square Enix Bundle Redux next year.

EDIT: Final Fantasy XIV has a two-week free trial. A just in case FYI.

Kind of glad for a lack of money at the moment, since all this Ebola talk is really making me want to play Plague Inc again and pretty sure I'd fakecag it if could. 

Of course that'd mean I'd end up with hundreds of hours in Plague Inc and Gear City instead of playing through the backlog and stuff I've started but never finished (that list is massive). So works out I suppose anyways. 

And yes, I realize I have issues when I get somewhat excited about infectious diseases (am I the only one?). Not so much them killing people, just the disease in itself.  :razz:
