I recommend reading the manga (yes, I know 70+ volumes is a lot) and not watching the anime, as anime adaptations of shonen manga tend to be far inferior to the source material.

1) Both things are wrong, but you choosing to prioritize what is more "wrong" and deeming once acceptable over the other is not how it works. Neither should happen.

2) So, if I'm harassed, I should stick up for myself, when the action is clearly wrong? Wow gator, but don't worry, we'll get to this later.

3) Reasonable adults engage in harassing of each other? This is what you are implying, if not outright saying.

4) So, you first tell me to stick up for myself, then say I have to do something about it? I don't know, but the action is wrong in the first place. And so is this "logic" of yours. And what moral pedestal? I just pointed a simple fact.

5) Like I said, harassing Equistina or Snakey for the matter, is wrong. If viewing it's "acceptable", just because its Snakey, and he should stick up for himself/others defend him, I'm calling you out on this.

None of those people seemed terribly important in the novels.

(some sort of book spoilers)

Don't know what kind of screen time they gave them but in the books they just seemed like a bunch of nobodies off doing stuff away from the actual important events.

I don't think a single POV character was lost. In fact, only one POV character (who had more than one chapter) has been taken out of the entire series so far. Lots of fake "and then his vision faded as he/she died" deaths just so that person can return in the next book.

I never read the manga because of that actually :lol:

But I guess I did read Ranma 1/2 and that had a lot of volumes.

I'll look into if they have it for the kindle later, running out of space over here :0

That sucks for your wife. It's one thing for us to have a boys club here on the internet, but if we all worked together I highly doubt we would discuss inappropriate things very often on the clock.

The Alabasta Arc (especially the fight with Crocodile) was totally worth watching, though.

I've been going back and watching it but I skip the filler arcs.

I think I can easily answer all of this nonsense by stating that getting your balls busted by people on a forum != harassment and leave it at that. You seem to want to say that it is the same as harassment, and I completely disagree.

It is odd that I recall posts from you mentioning certain people by name in a derogatory manner. I guess that was somehow different though.

 
I don't really get what there is to debate with Equis/Snake. He made her uncomfortable, she asked him to stop, he didn't. It's one thing to make jokes (I was one who called Vigilante Vag) but when they ask you to stop because it makes them uncomfortable posting in the thread that's a line that should respected.

On the cop debate, I'm on the side of not saying stupid shit to someone armed with a weapon. I'd rather be alive than die trying to prove a point or win an argument.

The manga turns to crap. It starts out with a good balance of humor and fighting, but later on becomes all stupid humor all the time and the fighting is toned down to the point where the series isn't worth following IMO. Basically stop at the time skip would be my advice.

Oddly enough if you wanted to get into a silly shounen manga I'd say the best one to jump into right now is One-Punch Man.

I say yes. I haven't beaten the first game in the series yet, but I remember enjoying it. I think I only stopped because of school or something and just never got back to it. It was a long time ago do I can't really remember lol

I must respectfully disagree. I read each new volume released here and I don't think it's gotten any worse. Sure, it isn't as intense as the Water Seven or Paramount War arcs, but I haven't been disappointed with a single volume since that flashback-heavy one during the fishman stuff in New World.

There's a difference between a bunch of people most consider friends making fun of each other and someone repeatedly making unwanted sexual comments toward someone (especially after they already asked for him to stop).

As was already said, when people take something too far they need to speak up sense it's easy to do on the internet when you can't always tell how something you say affects someone. In this case she did speak up and it didn't stop.

I think we all love this thread because it's a fun place where we can just goof off and talk about nonsense, and I don't want others to have to leave because one person can't keep it in his pants.

One Piece is still good and still a lot of fun to read (although I've fallen about 2 months behind.)

Naruto and Bleach are two series that went way downhill. They can't end soon enough.

 
I don't remember Vag ever saying he wanted to be stopped calling Vag, I think he just said he kinda didn't like it.  I think it was someone else who said calling him Vag was played out and then everyone stopped.

in happier news, probly got a cb 4sum going on tonite. blue is gonna try to get her dude friend verified and chill out later tonite. i didnt know she had a dude friend, so im in the clear for earlier shows with her. im a nice dude. she said she might get in trouble if she does any swap stuff, but drinx/tips etc might change her/their minds. so prob midnite or so. or nothing will happen at all. we had another couple over 2 nights ago and kids were just not going to bed so we had to send them to the bar down the street and eventually home. he had a pierced wiener tho, and she had a pierced clit, so that's always kinda weird. actually i fucked her clit ring off before, haha. tmi. but yeah maybe something idk. she said she needs gas money and phone bill money and im like, i know an easy fun way to make more cash. orrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i will just be playing videogames! either way im happy. toketoke
