Just got around to setting up the kids' computer with Steam so they can play the stuff I've picked up through random sales and bundles. Forgot I had Hero Academy for Steam as well, and one of my kids wanted to play. (He's also getting started on this game, been playing the prologue tonight.)
The game kind of it paid. You get the core game for free but then you have to buy the other teams. The game is pretty balanced where each team is viable. I always just play random and get whatever team they give me, more fun that way.
The PC/Android/iOS accounts are all linked, so you can play your games through whichever mode once you have the game for that system. Don't pay $10... it's not a $10 game, but you may already have it through a Humble Bundle as well. I can't remember which one it was in (looking it up now), but that's how I got it. I'm horrible at it, but I still have fun with it from time to time.
I am like 99% I got that bundle. I will look into it sometime back at my place soon though and get it linked to my phone!

If you did, the game would show up through your Humble Mobile app. May not help getting it linked up, since you'd need your login and password if you've already set it up on the computer. Hope you're right, though. I haven't seen any of my humanoids be blown up by a grenade launched off of 2 walls in a while.
I'm at 194 with 45 minutes to go. Pondering if I should try for top 100 for the extra 25 HP and the increased ISO payout for the cover, or be nice to whoever manages the 100 slot.

Here's the fun part, the guy who gets the bump up is the last guy who scored. So even though you got that score first, that player was the last person who played & bumped you down one. Basically last active player gets the score, yes it's BS but it's MPQ what do you expect?
I have literally mastered when I should join PvP. I literally get into brackets like that EVERY time the past 6 PvPs ; )
I think placement ties are determined by when you get the score. I haven't yet gotten a new score and been anything but last of the matching pack.
I tried getting in about 16 hours before it closes. Obviously that hasnt been working for me.
Some of us check with our steam account what time the event ends.
I hope they set it up properly, since the Hulk event usually gives out a free Hulk once the bar fills up. Better give out a free Fury.
I think the Hulk nodes are designed for a covered Spidey/Punisher combo. I found those nodes easy, but I was stunning left and right, throwing out defense tiles, and just working him down to the 40% range for some Punisher red.

Yeah just figured that one out when I stunned him with spiderman or storm and just unloaded on him like no tomorrow.
I feel like they are shorter yeah but who knows.So this is a hulk event, recycled, rehashed.... We've got some new characters since the last time they did this. Once again Punisher is a featured character, as is Hulk. For some crazy reason Johnny Storm is a featured character. So here's the deal, Hulk event, fatured characters, did we forget someone? Oh yes, She Hulk.....It is a hulk event after all
Maybe its just me but that makes sense, or am I just crazy & they didnt really release a She Hulk? Whens the last time you got a cover for her or she was a prize?
Also because Ive blocked the last Hulk event out, was the sub events always this short? Did I miss some sub events last night? Plus progression rewards are crap & for the amount of hulk points needed its way too much. All for a blue spiderman as the top tier? Pass.
Going back to She hulk, plus we got Captain Marvel now...Time for an all ladies tournament again? Might be time with the expanded female roster. That would bring some diversity. I dont think we've had a females only tournament since they introduced moonstone.
I guess because I dont have her, I totally forgot that they released her. Plus Modern Storm was always good enough for me. Seems StormHawk is like the opposite of Captain America. They took a crappy 2* & made him an Awesome 3*. Stormhawk, awesome 1*, crappy 3*. (basing this on what Ive played with loaner Stormhawks!)
I love strategy games, and the asynchro aspect is awesome. Still trying to figure out what all of the units on the other teams do, so all these games going on at once are a pretty big help. Trying to track down the Gold version for cheap on Steamtrades. I'm glad to announce that I am currently undefeated in my short Hero Academy career, 1-0, with a victory over Koju. I know... he said he was rusty.

You can try gamesharing which would reduce the cost of games by at least 25% and it's pretty simple to do. I've been doing it for couple years and has saved me a lot of money but the downside it did create a large backlog for me.
These sub events are just too fast. This is like the hulk event on turbo, hopped up on speed, while fast forward is pressed. Every time I turn around its only a couple hours til a sub event ends. Then I jump back in the sub events over & another ones up. Right now Ive done little to jack in the Hulk event, 10 hours left in the current sub events which when I jump back into it will probably be over.
You can get 50 point nodes in Training fairly easily if you haven't already gone too far. It would be easy to knock out 500 points. Heck, at 65 points, someone at a score of 530 will give me 47. All my other nodes are at 50 in case I needed just a few more points for a placement award. Sitting at 231 for the season, so it doesn't seem likely I'll rocket into top 100 in the next two days. Yes, the season ends in just over two days.
Assuming no hidden changes, sounds like Team Ups get a much needed overhaul.
that. Just wait for the server crash at the end of this event so they can hand out some worthless tokens.
