I ended at #2 with like 450 points. I didnt really care to push to get #1 for an IW that I would never use anyway.

All I needed was one more green so now I have a max power Torch, and then all that ISO was a few more levels to push my Hood now to 128 which is just in time for the new PvP with all boosted villains! Now if only I had a damn Magneto haha. It is tempting to use Doom in this event as he is powered up past my Thor but I feel team synergy wise I shouldnt.

I added level 166 to Hood this morning. Kind of a double-edged sword, because he starts taking tiles from healthier characters.

Doom is so much fun when boosted, but yeah, he doesn't really synergize with Hood very well beyond what you get from Hood in general. Victor works better with a strike tile generator, especially if the tiles aren't limited to red.

This event is built for Sentry+Daken+Hood massacre teams.

Yeah I am not looking forward to seeing those; I was thinking the same thing.

But yeah with Hood I just want him right now to sit somewhere around 140-150. I dont want him too strong compared to others like you said when he starts taking tiles. I just want to boost his Black damage and give him a bit more health. After I get him up then I will turn my ISO leveling to either Deadpool or Patch, both of which are close to being max power trained.

 
I am finding a good combo with Daken + Ares + Hood

Ares green feeds Daken strike tiles

Hood's blue feeds Daken blue powers

 
FYI, if you haven't noticed, there is a bug in the game right now where AI powers and Team Ups are only doing base damage instead of the leveled amounts.

You will do much better in fights than you would normally think based on levels. However, that also means your PvP defense team is a pushover, and if it is fixed before the PvE ends, the scaling will be crazy later.
 
I'm trying out Hero Academy. I don't seem to be in love with it as much as you guys are.

It'd be a little bit better if it had a story/campaign mode. everyone I seem to find to play with is taking forever for turns as well.

i'm on there as mc-squared btw.

Testing it out myself. Seems fun but yes, the long wait inbetween can be tedious. Currently have 3 games going on right now. You can find me as 0verkil1.

 
I will need to add you guys on Hero Academy!

I prefer that it is long intervals kind of. And when you have multiple regular games with different people it is more fun because usually if you want to play a turn, you likely have SOMEONE who recently submitted their own. I have Koju, ltrain and my buddy Nmb8or in our Alliance and each has like 3-6 games going at once and so people play randomly and I like the excitement of new turns available and what not that way.

Back to MPQ though I hopped into the PvP and have a decent ranking so far but I wont be able to play after 4pm tonight at all so oh well. I already have 5 of Psylocke's blue and I doubt I will get to play enough to keep top 25 so I suppose I will just chalk it up to more ISO for my Hood who is slowly getting there, now at 130!

DS went on a Psylocke rant months back and I am pretty sure he found that her Blue is largely useless when compared to her other moves. From my playtime with her I would say the same. I would much rather have 5 in black and red, though in your situation you might as well get it since to have her maxed you need at least 3 blue anyway!

I pop onto Marvel on my bathroom break. Think to myself hmmm I have basically all the characters I really want right now. I have Steve, Hood, Punisher, Torch, Deapool and Patch all either trained fully for their powers or are just one or two away. They of course just need ISO then. The only character I still do not have that I really want is of course Magneto and I dont even have his purple move so I cant even buy them outright with saved HP.

So naturally I think oh you know what, the Nefarious Villains event is going on, surely that 10-pack will be my best bet at getting that Magneto cover. So hesitate to buy it, backing out the first time. Then I go it and buy it... AND ALL I GOT WAS fuckING TEN TWO STAR CHARACTERS. Not even a shitty 3* or anything, just all 2*s.

Pissed I am like wtf I have to get one so I buy the single daily deal for the Nefarious Villains and I get super excited that it is a gold pull!!!!! OF FREAKING INVISIBLE WOMAN.

I am done. I didnt even play the game then. I hopped on to play but did that first and then just turned the game off.

 
Once you have most of the covers, it just isn't worth the slot machine known as token purchases. Just click on the question mark on the purchase screen and you'll see how abysmal the chances are in just getting a 3* or better, never mind the one you actually want.

I seriously want that Magneto purple, too, but tokens aren't the way it'll happen.

I know better Koju, I just was really feeling it for some reason. I am always so against tokens and yet I somehow get drawn back from time to time to test my luck and usually be screwed.

I just don't see me getting a Purple Mags unless they run an event for him. Which since they did with Hood I suppose there is hope for that at some point..

 
Season 5 has started. Fury event to earn Punisher is the first PvP. If you need a Fury, figure out how to get to that 1300 progression award for a yellow...

Overall season has yellow Sentry as progression, and yellow X-Force for alliances.

So, there's that.

EDIT:

Just redeemed my Brotherhood tokens, and a gold icon popped up. First thought in my head: They are going to kill me if this is a Fury cover.

Was a Steve yellow, the last Steve cover I needed, and hesitated buying outright at least a few times a week.

So, I think I'm somehow stealing karma from Broly.

Blue is virtually worthless. It can be useful, but honestly, you want her at Red 5, Blue 3, Black 5. Both red and black get a significant increase in base damage when put up to 5, about 1500 damage at max level & the strike & attack tiles sweeten the pot.

Shes a great striker that gets under utilized. Actually if you really break it down she's better than Punisher yet he gets more attention. They both have the same health pool, and their powers are slightly similar (leaving attack & strike tiles).

I had 5 in blue first because the game loves giving me blue covers. Blue IS useful but most times you'll get a dead color. So you end up stuck with 19 yellows or purples with no one to use them, if you have a rainbow team then its not a problem.

Base line is my advice get whatever colors you can for her. Get her a max skill set of 13 powers and level her up, you can always respec her later. She's an awesome pair with hulk & I dont think most people realize that.

Ah Purple mags, I have no idea how the hell I have 2 in that...since for the longest ass time I couldnt even get 1 of his blue covers.

Even now he's only at 2/5/2. Its amazing though that even at 2 the purple can do up to 3k of damage. I just use him to spam that red though, the blue and purples are just bonuses. Pair him with hulk & Panther & Mags never goes on the front lines, sweet!

So this is the new format huh? Speed running sub events? Every 24 hours new sub event & I miss out on getting a better rank. I log back in and end up with 6-7 standard tokens. Spent some HP trying to get a Fury, so yeah Broly I know those daily deals & the crappy slot machine of tokens. Spent all my HP & for what? Nada. Then the game mocks me, standard token nets me a gold....Blue Spiderman. Before the nerf my spiderman was 2 blue, no yellow, 2 purple. Now I have 5 in purple and blue, maybe 2 in yellow? Idk but now that he's nerfed Spiderman loves me!

As it seems we're all losing interest in the game, its not really the games fault. If they would add new content, not just tweaks to the system I think it would be better. Sure new character is fun and all, but to play the hulk or magneto event to win a new character is bonkers. At least deadpool had his own new event, even if it was basically a skinned rehash of another event. I just want new content, an expanded story or more events. Playing the same combos of teams on the same static backgrounds really has taken a toll, & the rehashed events have further fueled the game to get staler quicker. I love a good match 3 and no other one has held my attention as long as this one, but I need a break from the repetition.

 
One of these sub events seem frozen. The bar isnt moving and it's been stuck on the Russia event for days.

For the Fury tournament i think I already have 5 black punisher covers, so I'll have to work pretty hard to get up to a red. not likely with work the next few days.

The Russia event started out longer than the other ones for some reason. Ends tonight. The bar is moving, but I think slowly. I just noticed the last digits changed after letting it sit for a few minutes. Patched games are going to be harder than the event was previously, so perhaps the progress is slower for people who were fighting above their weight class when it was broken. Not sure.

I'm only going to use the Fury event as an ISO farm and maybe try to get some lucky tokens. Considering a bunch of us have Punisher where we want him to be, I'm thinking alliance awards aren't in the cards. Hopefully the Army of One that comes next will spit out someone useful - like maybe the She Hulk event we should have gotten. It'll probably be Psylocke, though, since they have been giving her out like candy lately. (Almost got her maxed in the villian PvP, but fell asleep in the last hour - 5th place was less than 100 points away.)
 
Just curious - has anyone else pulled a Fury from a PvE token?

A coworker and I somehow both pulled yellow Fury with the token at the end of the Russia subevent.

 
I bought the daily deal a few times in hopes of a Fury, ended up with a yellow BP one time.  Purple Daredevil is useless to me, so I either push to try and get something higher, or take it easy.

ROFL. Man, the pulls have been horrible as of late. Nothing useful. At least the PVE is an ISO farm.

After complaining on here, I got 6 regular tokens - got mostly trash except for a 2* Torch and a 3*Mohawk

I have opened up about 30+ recruit tokens this past week now and have not gotten anything. I swear after that BS 10-pack and all of this my luck in the game is complete shit.

And seriously? Daredevil rewards? I already knew it was dumb but for some reason this morning I was like... well shit that means next PvP is going to be lame as hell since we have to use Daredevil. 

 
I can't complain about my pulls, really. Although it is a bummer to pull a gold from a standard, only for it turn out to be someone you probably could have maxed out covers twice.

EDIT: Supposedly the environment tile change gave a minor boost to Daredevil. I'll believe it when I see it.

I know Im in the minority but I still want Daredevil to be a useful effective character. I mean on paper he's great: a stealing skill, a great attack, and a stun move. The only issue is they are freaking trap enabled! If they were changed to at least countdown tiles Id be more happy with him.

If they were countdown tiles I would shit myself and he would become amazing. Steve, Daredevil and Hood then would be such an awesome team to run with!

I got one last night too, Purple Falcon! Which I was happy about since he's apparently the next tournament. So now I have him soft capped at 114. Finally pushed Steve up to 150.

Also took a second to look at our alliance. Wow we've really crapped out. Comments ask for us to push in whatever tournament because someone really wanted punisher covers....just wow. I held back my response. That & we're looking at even oringinal members missing days of play at a time. Are we starting to throw in the towel?

But yeah I dont know. I am just happy with what I have and have somewhat started to burn out on this game. I still like the game, and especially our little sub-community here that we have created but I just dont care to really push for covers right now when all I need is ISO. My tune my change when they release a new character but for now I will just be playing a decent amount here and there, at least for now. 

I have been focusing on drawing on the train again every day like I should be doing, instead of playing MPQ.

Porn stars automatically win. Plus I had to re-read the details on it, since I was too busy watching it. She didnt use water in the ice bucket challenge. Instead she used squirt....well because.... So that was total win all on its own.

 
The Nick Fury PvE took my interest out of the game but will try to jump back on once it's over.  Been playing WWE SuperCard but wasted 48 hours to win King of the Ring only to get a pair of Tyson Kidd Super Rare for my efforts.

This makes no sense to me because I dont watch wrestling. However I did see that game, card game plus wrestling, interesting concept honestly. Kinda shows how expanded the WWE universe really is, since it took over the other one too right? ECW or something?

Yeah it is tough without Nick.

I actually jumped in last night finally and am already up to #140 in my bracket then hahah. We shall see if I come somehow masterfully squeeze out a top 50 finish since I really want his Yellow move since mine is only at 2 right now. Overall my Patch is 4/4/2 though so he can take anything though in the end I would want him 5/3/5 as discussed before!

WWE Supercard has a tournament feature called King of the Ring (also the name of their PPV Event) where 16 players put together their top 10 cards and compete 1 match every hour for 40+ hours and the top 8 face off elimination style. So what happened to me is equivalent of seeing a gold icon when you open a token only to find out you got a Daredevil or Invisible Woman. It's not really that bad but they need more variety of cards. They make all the lazy characters look epic because each tier (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare, etc.) have the same wrestler except in a different pose. They saved some of the greats for the top tier like Macho Man Randy Savage.

WWE = all wrestling combined (ECW, WCW, and WWF) and rejects or people with drug issues go to TNA.
