I wrapped up :ps4: The Last of Us Remastered SP last night. Wasn't expecting to beat it as I was only on chapter 8 last night to start but I forgot how much the last 1/3 flies by. Got all the trophies except supplements and weapon upgrades which I'll wrap up on NG+. Definitely a better experience than PS3 version.
What makes it a better experience? Just the FPS?

This is a serious question, BTW. I played the PS3 version 3 times while getting all of the SP trophies, but have been contemplating picking up the PS4 version.

I've played RE 4 on Wii, but never finished it. Got maybe half way through? I got the PS3 version, but got annoyed with the controls like everyone here and haven't gone back. Probably will though.

And congrats on the pinball score Pete. That harem multi ball goal is a bitch and should be a wizard goal. Gotta get a little lucky to nail it.
fine, I'm going to finish my re4 professional run for real this time. you guys are making me do it! favorite game.

finally got the harem multiball, then on my next game got all of the wizard goals on my first (extraordinarily lucky) ball. so to summarize, took about 20-30 games to get one of the standard goals, and one ball to get all five wizard goals. might be a bit imbalanced.

Only trophy left for the plat in Resistance: Burning Skies is the "Complete an online game" one. MP is dead, though. LIke completely dead. Not enough people online to start a game. Who all in here picked up the game? Want to knock that out?

For me, I noticed a lot less glitches and bugs than in the :ps3: version and the world itself actually immersed me a little more, though that may have been cause I used a guide to get all the collectibles. When I did the :ps3: version last year I pretty much just did the main story with little side stuff and ran into a lot of bugs with the game.

Managed to get a group together and got the plat. I'm going to list Resistance on eBay, but if somebody wants me to jump in to help with the MP requirement before it's gone let me know.

As in, YOU'RE WRONG.

How many do you need for the MP?
4 minimum, but it depends on the battle type you choose (deathmatch, team deathmatch, etc..)

Earlier there was nothing, but when I tried again around 10:30 I jumped into a lobby just in time to catch a team deathmatch round. It was actually quite decent. No lag issues, it was a small map, just running around killing. Could get boring quickly, I suppose, but there were people in there that were leveled up quite a bit and that indicates some staying power for a Vita game over two years old.

Too bad about the online pass requirement. I bet the online environment would be a lot better if not for that.

Tried to list my copy of Resistance: Burning Skies on eBay and got hit with a selling limit. Not sure why since the selling limit page says my limit is 10 per month and I'm only at 5. Tried calling to request a higher limit and their wait time is 45 minutes. fuck that.

Looks like I may be giving Amazon a try as well. What an annoyance.

Is whining about anything and everything your new shtick? Because it's not a good look.
Not really. It's exaggerated by people quoting it and bringing it up repeatedly--the one you quoted is the only actual complaint I could find going back through 2 days of my posts.

Need some rogue legacy help.

I've beat all the bosses twice, so I'm ready to wrap up NG+ but I still need 20 or so blueprints.  Should I hang around in NG+ with some curse stones and look for blueprints?  Or go to NG++?

IIRC what was said before about this was to just stay in the current game until beating the sub-bosses only drops gold. Once that happens, it's time to move on.

I thought you were intentionally complaining more because people brought it up but I guess that's just really how you are.

Naa. I'm very critical about movies, books, games, etc., so it can come across as a lot of negativity. I can be a bit of a perfectionist. The "What an annoyance" sentence was just a reference to people bringing it up that I added on at the end of the eBay thing. That's the first time I recall actually playing into it at all.

Just opened the mailer for my first Gamefly game (Ys:MoC). They use the exact same packaging for Vita games as they do for discs; I couldn't even tell at first the game was in there since they're so small and light.

What kind of turnaround do you guys get from GF? I think this took a day to ship then two days to arrive. 3 days total to get a game plus the time from sending the game back to GF seems like it would eat up a lot of a month.

I remember Blockbuster Online would let you return discs to the store, where they'd scan the disc and another one would immediately get sent out. It'd be nice if GF had some mechanic like that, but I'm not seeing one on the page.

UPDATE:  Not Second Son though unfortunately

My wife's car died, jumped it hoping it was the battery, but nope.  Couldnt get anywhere to get a new one before the car died again.  Looks like alternator probably died.  Car overheated and coolant went everywhere.  Got it to the car place down the road just as it died again.  Not looking forward to their call tomorrow for the damage.

I'm pretty sure an alternator problem would not cause a car to overheat.

Not that I'm a mechanic. I can change parts, and have done alternators, batteries, brakes, and a few other things, but don't know quite enough about them to be a good diagnostician. Still, I'd expect something entirely different from the alternator for the overheating issue.

Smart As Platinum is mine.  Needed 8 stars to wrap it up and I was stuck at 7 but finally got 8 (dam cube mania).  I was wholly prepared to drive to another city to get it this week though.

They do a fast return service. If a post office along the way with the right scanner scans the game they send a new one before it gets all the way back. For me, it always happens the day after I drop it at the post office, then there is usually a couple days transit for me to get a game in Atlanta from Tampa. If you are close to a dist center, it should be faster.

Matt, how do you want to work out that deal for one of your Destiny PS4 LEs?
Lol, I'm keeping the LE at Best Buy. I have the $150 one pre-ordered at Amazon that will likely get cancelled, you're more than welcome to that one. Edit: Ha, I just checked that pre-order thread, now I know what youre talking about. "I got one of each for every system guys, which one should I keep?"

Finally got all of the challenge stars and crowns in Hot Shots.  Now just gotta work on the luck based ones and hopefully be able to get the plat at some point.  Luckily I like the game, so it's not quite a chore to play it yet.

Tampa to Nashville here.

think the overheating is a secondary issue. The battery is starting fine but dies right away when trying to drive. Alternator not likely working to keep the electronics on. We will see.

Played the first 5 hours or so of Dragon Age: Origins. Hasn't quite hooked me like Mass Effect did just yet, but I am really enjoying it. Great environments and characters so far and the combat is pretty fun as well. Definitely looking forward to playing more

If not for the other problems I'd say definitely get a battery checker hooked up to it at AutoZone or whatever. I've replaced batteries and alternators before thinking the problem was one when it was the other. They can be a bit misleading.

It's odd that you're having the two problems at the same time if they're unrelated. Post what it is when you find out, I'm curious.

I did the battery on my wife's car 2 weekends ago. Car sat for a few weeks prior to that. Other then a slightly rough idle runs fine. Inspection last month and new back brakes. Cheaper then a car payment or two.
