So, couple questions about Transistor:

1. How long does it take to beat?

2. Odds of it seeing another sale (or even better, sub $10) before the end of the year?

I have a couple of those $5 Kongregate coupons so was thinking about getting some cheap PSN monies for it.

In the spirit of trophy talk, I may go for the First Light platinum when I get home. I finished the "story" this morning. Cannot understand why something like this would have a platinum trophy while Child of Light (among others) does not. Not complaining since it's great for people like me, just saying. Policy just seems so out of whack.

I know it's only $15 but I don't think it's worth that, honestly. Maybe $7. And I'm not referring to its length. Just felt kind of hollow in the end. The novelty of playing as Fetch wore off mid-way for me. Festival of Blood is better.

1. 6-8 hours (but closer to 6 probably)

2. Maybe some sort of Black Friday or Christmas Sale? I couldn't imagine it going on sale before November.

I am considering picking this up. $15 is steep but I am getting $20 of credit today for $10. So it would cost me $7.50. Just beat Festival of Blood today.

I might just wait for a sale though not sure.

SR3 kills SR4, only good thing from SR4 was climbing up buildings and shit but man some godawful boring ass missions in there.

Seriously it's fucking stupid, and I actually have to play through it twice if I want both ending trophies.

EDIT: OK, during the last part of it it didn't spawn me in the car correctly so I didn't know what to do. Which is still the games fault but at least when i re-did it it worked and was 10x easier. The last part anyone, overall the mission is still dumb. Just tons of shooting and driving.

Around 6-8 hours, though if you do the challenges/NG+ you can easily double that (and with how deep the combat is I think it's worth doing two playthroughs).

Very likely, but nobody can predict the future so I would still recommend buying and playing it now.

According to an English translation of the Xinhua article on the Shanghaiist website, the worker was left dangling midair. He yelled down to a co-worker, who called firemen; he was rescued about 40 minutes later.

Thanks for the heads up on the new $5 GameStop coupon, wish I hasn't snoozed on the target flip fun so I could guiltlessly grab some psn spacebucks on the cheap but meh. Think I'll pick up 3d dot game for $8 and a $20 card for $15.

I'm sitting on like $120 in other PSN credit. This $40 is to blow -- specifically, to get games I want but would never normally buy at current prices (I rarely buy anything above $10, for example).

 
damn samsung 40inch got capacitor issues and keeps turning on and off. god damnit.

and im all for more viewers/tippers. we got like 5000 followers but we need alot more.

my girl and her friend are going to a gay bar as stage kittens and thats til at least 1.

im gonna take my 32inch 720 and replace my 40 1080 til wed. when they can check it out. idk.

this is my excuse to finish reading some books but im such a lazy

oh n stotch n tyler or whoever, you guys always get free passes to my shows and hit me up and ill make you a mod so you can ban/silence idiots and have red names, etc. ciao

also i think im gonna flip my girl's ps3 for 150 credit towards ps4 at gamestop. we dont do co op as much, mostly just couch co op so the 2 ps3s is kinda redundant. should i go white master race destiny, or just black snake moan original?

Dear diary,

I hate that anxious moment after beating Infamous on hard and there is no trophy pop, then you wait through the credits and there is no trophy pop. You then wait through Cole talking some more after the credits and there is no pop. Then it says you are welcome to keep playing to finish any missions or collectibles. Then you just stand there and stand there. FINALLY! Pling! Wait. What? Ok, I get the Evil finish trophy. But, but. Did I do something wrong? Did I not turn it to hard mode fast enough at the beginning? Come on, POP! Seconds tick by. I start asking myself if I have to play this bitch over again and then... Pling. Hard Trophy pops. Sweet relief.
 
everything is just a blur. they had a 57 inch or something crazy huge for 999, down to 850 with 100 giftcard at bestbuy, but that's crazy when i just need my tv fixed. inches, lol. yeah i need to get trophy vita head hour going so the ven diagram of my life has more interlaps going on.

 
Started Ghosts. It's actually a pretty solid FPS. I'm not huge on the MP components of these games, but I like that the story is short and you can get a ton of achievements just in the normal playthrough.

yeah, that was really fucking awful. I don't know what kind of crazy ass logic processing it's doing in the background to calculate that 'difficulty equalled hard' buuuuuuut that incredibly long pause between trophies had to have been some sort of inside programmer trophy hater joke.
 
Resistance: Burning Skies has a similar trophy. At the end of the game there's a task you complete but the trophy for that (and one other for general completion) doesn't pop until the credits end. It's a bit disconcerting.

BTW Sly 1 ended up being great despite some really dumb sections that broke the mold of the normal gameplay...like the end boss fight. Running around on a jetpack with poor controls just didn't fit the game at all, and some of the mini-games were similar. The shooting minigames drove me nuts because I'm not at all used to camera controls with down being up and up being down; I always have those controls reversed, but that's not an option in Sly, and there's not enough of those segments for me to have gotten used to it.

Probably the strangest part of the game's trophies is that you can get every single trophy in the game during your normal playthrough...except for one. One of the 30 or so vaults you have to unlock cannot be unlocked until you beat the end boss. You randomly have to go back to a stage in the middle of the game to unlock that one vault. What the hell?

Sucker Punch is right around here. Bellevue I believe. Might have to go have a talk. Blast shard requirements and the trophy tease are at the top of the list. Any other issues need addressing? Sly related maybe?
 
Oh and this is really damn weird about Sly; after beating the boss you have to sit all the way through unskippable credits to get to the level select so you can get the last vault for the remaining trophy and plat. Once you get that vault opened up and the trophies pop, you immediately get a cut scene about collecting the vault's contents...and then the credits run again, and are again unskippable. Why???

they dont make Sly Cooper anymore, Sanzaru does. Go tell Sucker Punch we want Infamous and Infamous 2 Remastered on PS4. It has to be 60 fps though

10. Went to one for my now wife's cousin, and I almost left her because it was just such a poor choice and I didn't know it was dry until it was time for "cocktail" hour. And I had a confused look when the lemonade didn't reek of vodka or some other spirit. If anyone I know ever has a dry wedding, I will not be in attendance.
