Emergency Lowball (OVER)

I'm not a huge fan of the iPhone mobile site layout but that's no excuse not to be able to respond or message anyone, especially when something like this is going on. I want to try and reassure you guys since I got my stuff in great condition and I spent over $200 (2 weeks after he said he shipped it, but regardless) but this is ridiculous. Hope everyone gets their stuff or figures out some way to settle this.

As it so happens, I was in the process of filing a claim with Paypal, when the items I paid for arrived in the mail! Apparently, they were shipped on the 14th via Priority Mail. That's a day after he posted this:

The last 12 or so packages were at my front door step of my old house & I got a call from the landlord asking if I knew what they were. I'm on my way to re-send them & this time will keep the tracking #. Also, will be asking the Postmaster since he's always there. I do apologize to everybody as this all kind of went to sh*t. I'll be refunding these last 12 people for the inconvenience. I really do apologize.
Clearly then, I was one of those twelve. I'm hoping he keeps his word and refunds me for the inconvenience.

I laughed though.

I got my package today. First, postage was $5.95 not $9 like I was charged. But it's the rules said so that's whatever I guess. It's lame.

Second, one of my games does not have the disc in it. Are you kidding me? First it takes a month for my stuff to get here and then I don't even send one of the games? I'm usually lenient on this kind of stuff but I am really starting to get pissed off.

I am continuing to get disappointed, and I will not be purchasing from him in the future.

I want my refund.

I got my stuff yesterday. Packaging was limited to a padded envelope for 3 games... no cracked cases or loose games, though... luckily.

One of the games is definitely not an "A" condition... it's got a fair amount of light scratching and was is pretty grimy.

Not the worst I've dealt with, but definitely not the best.

I didnt want to throw vgc under the bus, because i believe some things should be private. I was promised a partial refund on 8/15. Some of my items were jacked. This is ridiculous. Someone should definetely report this guy. He cannot be doing this to people. I have not left feedback, hoping that he would communicate back. Pmed him but have not gotten a response.

havent got mine. He lives in Chicago. I live in decatur illinois. about 3 1/2 hours south.
LOCAL PICK UP!!!!! :whee:

Not to throw the guy under a bus as well (as I have had good dealings with him in the past, and am willing to let the completely destroyed box of my LE game go on this because I just couldn't care less/ am willing to blame USPS on it), but all of you whom are foaming at the mouth about getting the shaft do know you can do a few things about it. Sdragon said file with paypal and if you can do it. Nobody has left negative or neutral feedback either which I find puzzling, but I suppose those whom are having the issues described are giving the benefit of the doubt/waiting for a refund before doing such a thing(?)

Also, there is a sub section on this forum called "New Lowball Ban" and if you feel this person has acted out of line with this lowball, post about it there and a mod will ban him from the lowball section entirely.

All I am saying is this- 1. This sucks for everyone involved, and I feel awful for you. 2. You can (and should) take the appropriate actions yourself if you wish to find some resolve.

Blow up his inbox, file with paypal, notify a mod, leave appropriate feedback. I have a feeling those whom were promised a refund are not getting one and that this has turned into the adriley lowball of summer 2014, which is unfortunate.

Good luck everyone!

It's really a shame because the majority of CAG users are great and go above and beyond when trading/selling. I'm waiting on status of Paypal refund/case I opened to leave feedback.

I did get my items. So i will be leaning towards neutral feedback. However, after contacting vgc i explained to him how my games arrived, especially one supposed sealed game, appeared to be re-sealed. I have not heard back since the 13th. One can try and give the benefit of the doubt. I gifted my payment. So that is on me. I was promised a partial refund. I am certain others as well were promised one too. Tried communicating with reasonable and just state of mind. I am cutting my losses. I feel terrible for others who suffered from similar situation.

I'm still not sure what feedback to leave, since it took way to long to get here, and there's just not been any sort of reasoning behind it.

Sure, he's been busy and all, and I did get the item, but the experience wasn't v.good.

I don't know. I'm gonna wait until he appears before I take a decision.

I asked for a refund through Paypal because the games I received were not like new. He hasn't responded to any PMs despite promising a full refund for taking 3+ weeks to ship.

nothing today, complaint filed

Your dispute is open

Thank you. We’ll email you when the seller responds. If the seller does not respond, your dispute will automatically close on Sep 10, 2014 unless you escalate it to a PayPal claim. Don't worry, we'll email you a reminder before the dispute automatically closes. Please note that when you escalate a dispute to a claim, you're asking PayPal to review the case and decide the outcome.

complaint filed, and I was really looking forward to receiving the capture card.
5 days with the dispute open and still no response... Escalated it to a Claim cuz this is ridiculous.

Edit:

Of course VideoGameCollector17 hasn't logged on since Aug 16, 2014.

Dang I really wanted that Ni No Kuni guide. Glad I only paid $9. Waiting until next week before I figure out what I'm going to do about it.

Same. I escalated to a claim quite a while ago. He has a few more days to respond to Paypal.

I got my stuff quickly and easily, I agree that he has been here a while and we have had our share of fun auction battles (bidding), back and forth,  me and him. Sad to see if this is the case.

I understand that some people may go through hard times and a lowball like this can be hectic and unorganized at times... but if you anticipate that to be the case then there is no way that you should be asking for people to gift you the money. That alone had me weary from the get-go but at this point I really just hope we get this resolved.

My biggest problem isn't even that I haven't received my item but from the utter and complete lack of communication.

If I don't hear anything by tomorrow I'm going to leave negative feedback and just right it off as a loss. Lesson learned.

I left feedback, however, i left neutral feedback since i received my items eventhough they were not all as described. I also contacted the mod from the lowball ban thread.

Negative feedback left. That "most" people received their items means nothing. Most scammers aren't going to scam 100 out of 100 people. That is too obvious. But, scam a few here and there, and it can go under the radar.

If you feel you got swindled, taken, bait and switch pulled or what have you, please leave appropriate feedback.

didn't someone literally swindle an entire low ball last year? Or earlier this year?

I believe it was last summer. adriley313. I got lucky and got a refund in that instance, but not item I paid for. Lots of people weren't as fortunate however and lost money and never received an item.
