Just pulled a gold from one of my Sim tokens...

Fury Yellow!!

Unusable for almost everything for a long time to come, but now I have him, just in case he's required again.

I am super jealous. I have not had a remotely good pull in FOREVER. So many duplicates, 2*s and Daredevils...

Also I felt weird, I had saved up like 5500 ISO just now and pumped it all into Sentry since he is the required character. I felt dirty hahah I know I will never really use him so it seems like such a waste but oh well. Maybe if I ever get him maxed I will use him as on defense.

Got a Fury Blue last week from a heroic or something I think. They must have put him into the normal rotation now, I know it wasnt a special token. Aside from that pulls are very lame. Game finally gave me a Gold Magneto....Red.... Yes yes, most of you say, wow thats great! Im 5 in red, so yeah..... Thats like Broly needing more Thor covers....or Daredevil...
MPQ is like, yo man, I gave you a Nick Fury last week, dont be bitching. IDK why Im holding on to it. I have 5 in red & cant do anything with it. Im waiting for the funbalancing to happen, saving a purple ModHawk too, for just in case too.

They changed his everything. See my post quoted right here to see what. I haven't played his new version yet, so I don't know how bad he sucks now, but they nerfed all of his moves.

That really sucks. He was one of my favorite characters to use. I have to find a new big 3 now :cry:

 
Just played with him, and yeah, it sucks. His yellow (formerly blue) randomly generates the defense tiles, so the utility versus goons and countdown tiles for that move is gone. The red is too expensive for the damage it deals, and the blue (formerly purple) doesn't deal nearly enough damage to be worth the cost. Glad I didn't spend my HP on him.

 
I managed to make 120k for the Beast progression reward, now he's 1/1/1 for me. Tried to jump in late for the marvel tourney, didn't work. I didn't need another purple Loki, but could use 1 more black. Oh well, I'm closer to the 10 pack now at least.
 
I decided to Broly the last PvP.

3 queued-up seed matches = easiest top-50 ever.

i meant to jump in at the last half hour of the loki tournament this morning. Forgot.

got nearly 80k in the simulator event, can't make it up to 120. :sad:

At least I'll get another three star Thor token from this.

 
Yeah, this top progression reward was much harder.  The recent events I've more than doubled the last reward score.  Having a larger roster helped, since I could use different teams(besides the featured character) for the normal nodes after I wiped my health packs and A-team on the hard nodes.

Destiny is taking over my free time to game! Especially seeing as I am already largely addicted and play it on PS4 and X1 with various friends haha

But yeah just hopped into the Hard Sub-Event and got like 5800 points for the hardest essential node. Not bad haha. I am at like 93k and since I didnt play at all yesterday it looks like I wont be reaching the 120k rewards. I still have been keeping up though enough so that we can get the Alliance reward, which good job DS and whoever was booting to get us some decent randoms. I did a couple but figured it was in good hands haha.

When a new PvP is available if you can open it up the MINUTE it starts basically you have the seed teams that are super terrible. You do not fight them, but you click on the nodes to bring up what team you would face. Do that for each node and if it is right in the beginning the highest level characters you should be seeing are like MAYBE 80 or so at most, usually they are like levels 2 - 30. So now each of your three nodes then are locked in with those terribly easy matches INWHICH YOU DO NOT PLAY. Like I said you just like load them up so they are ready to play. Then come back to the PvP with 10 minutes before it ends. Rush through and play those three seed teams and you should be put into a smaller bracket or at least a super easy one. Everytime I have done this I get top 50 at least.

It is worth noting that you can start with even less than 10 minutes but you have to play REALLY fast to at least complete those three. You can also play a fourth if time permits, though it will be a normal leveled match up team at that point so it will be a bit harder.

I may have called in sick both yesterday and today... Hahaha nothing like knowing you are getting paid to just sit at home and play games

On my PS4 I have a Hunter just about to hit level 11 and then on my X1 my Warlock is 15, but halfway to 16

Haha I have played quite a bit... o_O : P

On my first attempt at Brolying, I actually started the first of my 3 seed teams with about 12 minutes to go.

I played through the match until I got to the point where I could finish the fight with one AP technique. Then I waited until T-7min, delivered the killing blow, and quickly ran through the other seed teams. I actually ended up having 2 min to spare, so next time I try this I'll probably wait a little longer.

So the question is, as a group do we want to try for an alliance Falcon this time around? Or do we just Broly it?

Yeah I prefer it with like 8 minutes left that seems the sweet spot for time.

But no, I really doubt we are getting anywhere near top 100 for PvP. We as an Alliance have gotten top 100 PvP reward I think 2 times total and that was with EVERYONE pushing a ton.

When it comes to PvP I have accepted that it is more of a singular thing and then whatever alliance reward we get is just a bonus.

Speaking of, I am pretty bummed we didnt get top 100. I barely ended up playing this PvE event and I still managed to get 135k+ and I played probably half the amount of time I usually do for PvE stuff. Oh well, I just really wanted you guys to all get as many Thors as possible.

We will get 'em next time!

Does cycling through nodes put you in a bracket? I mean skipping teams,lucky me - I got lvl 90s

You are only placed in a bracket the moment you start a fight as far as I know so I would imagine you can skip all you want before starting.

And yeah you literally have to have like a timer set and know just when the PvP is opening up to score those really low level seed teams.

 
So if my first opponents aren't low level seed teams I might as well just start fighting instead of waiting to jump in the last  10 minutes?

Depends on how confident you are in terms of being able to defeat whatever three teams you get queued up as well as get them defeated quickly. It is possible that way but just not as easy.

I either do that method or I will jump in to the PvP around lunch time the day before it is set to end. Then I just play regularly. Or my other method is to hop in at about 6 hours before it ends, push hard until all my health packs are gone and then wait for my health and packs to recharge then keep doing that until it ends.

It all just depends on how much time I have really and how much I feel like playing haha

 
As a variation on the seed teams, if you aren't in MMR hell, skipping will help.

My optimal configuration is to grab the seed teams. About a day in, start skipping looking for 40+ teams. The people at 400 points or more won't be shielded at this point, which should give you some higher point targets for when you decide to actually earn points.
 
Marvel.com: Awesome, let’s jump right in then. What are Mr. Rasputin’s abilities?

Joe Fletcher: He’s got three abilities. He’s a Yellow-Red-Black character, so a little bit of interesting color strengths there. He’s sharing that with X-Force Wolverine, actually, which is a four star character, so not really super available to a lot of players, so pretty unique color strands. He’s gonna be fairly useful on a lot of different teams.

The first ability is the one that really makes him a tank, and that’s Immovable Object. Colossus, once you use this ability, will place a countdown tile onto a yellow tile that’s on the board, and then as long as that countdown tile is out there, at the end of every turn that player makes, he’ll pop to the front and take any damage that’s incoming from the enemy. Along with that, he also takes less damage as long as that countdown tile is out. So if he’s out in front, then he’s gonna be taking less damage and he’s gonna be taking damage for your friends.

Marvel.com: Oh that’s great, I love that. Fits perfectly into this niche you’ve carved for him.

Joe Fletcher: Right. After that, he’s got the ability to dish out the damage, especially when he’s out in front. He’s got his red ability, Colossal Punch. So what that does is normally it deals a decent amount of damage, just if you’re using it outright. But if he’s actually in front, then he not only deals damage to the opponent, but he also deals damage to all the other enemies on the team. So yeah, he kind of takes that tank role and makes it his own, and makes sure that he’s out there on the front and gets the first strike in on enemies.

Marvel.com: So you’ve built him specifically around getting to the front, tanking those hits, and clobbering the other team. Will his own teammates get a shot at the spotlight, or is Colossus just plain better as a leading man?

Joe Fletcher: You generally want him in the front. He purposefully has a lot of good points. His damage reduction every time you get that Yellow Countdown Tile out will be taking hits even less, which means that the rest of your team lives a little bit longer. You want him actually soaking up the damage—it also increases his red abilities. So having him in the front of the team is definitely the way that we want him to be played and the way that it makes sense for him to be played most.

His third ability doesn’t actually do anything special if he’s out in the front, but it takes a definite advantage of something that Colossus is definitely known for. So his third ability is the Fastball Special.

PSA to CAGvengers, this is a new character now for this upcoming PvE, everyone needs to push really hard to make sure we get him as a group. We had a few people score pretty low on the list comparatively, you know who you are so I dont need to name names, but please be sure to keep up the scores. I expect top scores from EVERYONE! : )

I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING.

He would literally be a perfect character in my eyes if his colors were tweaked a bit. I have plenty of powerful yellow moves and I really cannot think of a team where I could easily sacrifice that color for Colossus.

But him using Black and Red defeats the purpose of both Steve's Primary move and Hoods Primary Active power too!

Oh and yeah you suck Koju you barely even scored at all : P

Now that C Mags has been neutered, Im scrambling for a useful 3* purple. Im absolutely flailing in the game after having my go to team completely destroyed now. I think I'll try GSBW or Falcon in place of C Mags but Im really having a difficult time like I never really realized how much I used/relied on that team. My Back up Steve/IM40, Pun/Torch, & Falcon just dont have the punch that Panther/Hulk/C, mags had. Also my Hulk/Psylock team still is having difficulty finding a 3rd to partner up with.

OK So Hunt Tomorrow, Get Colossus, whats more to say? Get in early accumulate points or jump in later get good bracket? I never know what the gameplan is anymore. Also still woking on at least 3k to get a Sentry in this season, I know I wont get 4k for the 10 pack, but pulls have been shit lately that I dont think a 10 pack would do anything.

Starting the loki tournament in the last 12 hours seemed to put me in a good bracket. Already up int the 20s. Grab a couple Falcon covers, hopefully.

One more cover and my Psylocke will be fully powered. I can get her up to 150 now. Same with Punisher too, I think

2 star to 3 star conversion successful!

 
I need to get 3 falcon covers tonight. The team I've been playing with the past couple of days that I am starting to like a whole hell of a lot is Steve, Punisher, and Falcon. I try and match green right away to get off Frank's strike tiles, then every time Steve matches a yellow, it powers up said strike tiles. Once there are enough blue, Redwing is eliminating opponent special tiles without Falcon having to match them. Plus, there's an active power of every color.

Pun - Green, black, and very rarely red

Steve - Huge red power, awesome blue power, available yellow defense

Falcon - Purple defense

I have 3 alarms set for tonight to try and sneak into a high position in a late bracket.

EDIT: Also, LIES from Marvel.com. Colossus is available through Juggs Heroic (not The Hunt, as stated), and it's only open for 60 hours!!! Broly, put Destiny down!

DOUBLE EDIT: The only way to get Colossus yellow is to finish in the top 5 of your bracket. We thought it was tough at the end for Beast? Sunday night is going to be fuck ing bonkers (and now that I think of it, I won't even be able to play at all Sunday afternoon, as we have a bunch of people coming over for football in the afternoon and partying after). fuck !!!!

I dont wanna play MPQ that much this weekend. As stated before I HATE weekend only events. My main time to play is on the train and during breaks at work. Ugh. Son of a bitch MPQ.

Yeah there is not much to do for getting into great brackets at this point. Knowing me though I will likely wait until tomorrow morning sometime and still beat most of yours scores : P

Also, Falcon PvP launches in 15 minutes so for those of you wanting to score seed teams be sure to load it up then!

And fuck that top #5... If it is like before though they will flip it and the yellow cover will be the lower tier reward in the next PvP

I just loaded up the PvP as soon as is was available... and I didnt get seed teams.... WTF.

I have one with a level 213 X-Force even... awesome.

I had to skip them and then I got my Level 2 teams. Phew. That was a scare.

Razzin' frazzin' two day PvE? I'll probably jump in tomorrow morning and hope to avoid the crazy grinders from the simulator. But, I also need one last green LazyThor, and it's the top progression. Gah.

I just did a count. I am missing 75 3*/4* covers. If all covers were present, it works out to 13.5% chance for each draw to get the characters I need (discounting getting a color I don't need). However, Beast, Captain Marvel, Deadpool, and She-Hulk are not in standard Heroics yet, which drops the available covers to 47. So that drops me down to a 9.9% chance on any given draw to get a character needed.

So I'm now sitting on my season ten pack and not redeeming it until characters get added. Might still only end up with 2500 ISO, but at least my odds of pulling a gold token that isn't a fake-out gets marginally better.

Lol its about time someone else sees the light! I dont mix and match these teams for you guys for nothing! :p

Here was the other team you can use, Swap Pun with Torch and Steve with IM40. I guess in the grand scheme of things C mags can now stand in for Steve/IM40 as he has a red, yellow, blue scheme as well. But his health pool isnt as big as Steve or IM which is why those 2 are in place as the "tanks". However in saying that Purple Falcon & Yellow C mags will shield you up so much that match damage is nothing. Will drastically reduce enemy attack damage as well.

I'll piggy back on this. AS for the yellow, you have the options of IM40 doing recharge which will def give a huge boost to whoever. I like pairing IM40 with Torch because the increase of green AP is more significant to Torch and flame jet than with pun and judgement. Torch and flame jet can decimate with a huge pool of green & multiple tiles on the board.

Yellow with Steve is Moot as you'll have tons of defense tiles due to his blue leaving them and Falcons purple. I usually use yellow (if I get the AP) to make a 5 match for a critical. It maybe pointless but after so many defense tiles its not like I need more.

All in all Im glad someone else is using the Pun/Steve/Falcon combo, its a good team & I used it as my backup....which will probably be my main go to team now.

Once again RIP C.Mags....

I actually wouldn't mind. He's one of my undercovered characters, and one of only two 3*+ characters I'm missing a base cover in. I still don't have his blue-was-purple.

Even at 5 blue and 2 red pre-update, he was crazy overpowered. I was using him in the simulator to take down 395 Thor without breaking a sweat. I'm surprised it took them this long to change him.


I should point out that while Hood works great with just about anyone, he works really well with Steve. They are masters of the long game, and the AI can't really screw up using them. Gives you something else to do with yellow, and black works really nice with the countdowns. Just throw in your favorite green for flavor (Torch would work nice with Hood's black, but you get a lot of color overlap), if you don't have a mandatory third.

Lets not talk abotu C. Mags anymore. I could kill a hulk with him no problem. He was great...

I try hood, but that low health pool, it gets really hard for me to use him. I cant ever get dormamus aid to work right either. Like I see it taking colors but I was hoping for a better increase. I know it works for the enemy AI since I can never keep any damn colors when I fight him.

Oh and dont tell Ltrain about torch....

Yeah IM40 & Torch both have moves that deplete ap from other colors, thats why the recharge is effective. Im still not a big fan of IM40 but I think it was a tournament or such where I was forced to play him. He was fairly decent and I just ran with him. Same with Torch, I was forced to use him for some event & it just worked. Its a secondary team though. Im honestly really finding it hard to put a team together that I just really like. Maybe I should try a Steve Rogers, GSBW, and Psylocke team...
