it's stupid o'clock in the morning, airline lost my luggage so I have to get up early to buy clothes to wear, I can't sleep anyways and I just nutted myself. no way this interview can't go awesome tomorrow.

Plat'd Infamous Second Son

fantastic game -- it's 'more' infamous, though it feels more refined.  Really dug the characters, the plot is fine, and the gameplay is top notch.   I never liked Cole's buddy (or most other characters, actually) but this new cast is much improved.

Powers are all solid and fun.   I miss certain things (like riding power lines) but ultimately they got rid of stuff like that for smoother/faster transportation so it's hard to be mad.  

It does collectables right, and that's a rarity.   In fact, it's got my personal collectable trifecta --

1) you can get them on your minimap

2) there aren't too many

3) there are in game rewards for collecting them

and heck, for added bonus none are particularly hard to find or complicated to get to.

Plat is simple -- beat it twice (good/evil), grab a couple easy combat/power ones, and clear all the side missions/collectables.    As with all infamous games, the two playthroughs have significantly different missions.

Some notable things missing from SS that were in others--

1) no time trials. i guess this is good?

2) no escort, convoy, or 'you're on a moving vehicle' missions (surprisingly)

it's a relatively short game if you just blast through core story missions, but you're more than likely going to enjoy taking over districts and clearing enemy encampments. 

highly recommended if you like infamous games, worth a shot if you were on the fence about them, but doubtful it would convert anyone who didn't enjoy the others.

SS gets bonus points for not cramping my hand like v2x.

oh, and if you've been to seattle it's pretty awesome seeing it in the game.  i

I finished Last of Us Remastered and I played it that I usually play games. For those who didn't read what I said earlier, I usually play games and watch movies, ignoring the story and all sounds of the game. I didn't do that the first time and with all that being said, I enjoyed this playthrough a lot more than my first. I still think Bioshock Infinite deserves GoTY over TLoU, because the story in Bioshock Infinite is one of the best of last gen.  I'd give Tlou an 80. A stealth-ish, zombie-ish, escort-ish game doesn't deserve any higher.

perfecting level 34 was an absolute nightmare. turns out (afteri watching a speed run vid) i was actually considerably faster than par, but found out weapons were ammo based (i thought they were time based), which had been causing me to run out of bullets early and so one combat was slowing me down tons.

the best thing about perfecting a level is knowing you'll never need to master it again. my hands still ache. i will have nightmares about that stupid level. (i spent so much time perfecting the teledashing through the entire level, had no idea it was something else entirely).

Click on your streak. On the right side of the page there should be a "rebuild my streaks" button.

If you can't find that, just go into your settings and change your trophy time zone. Then change it back. That will fix it, too.

Thanks, the button worked. When Topside to "rebuild [my] streaks", I thought he was just saying to buck up and start over. Sorry, Topside. :oops:

The game from the arcades? It does. Awesome game, brutal trophies. And there are tons and tons of unlocks - the trophies only scratch the surface.

Jason took it to the jaw, though. Stanton's looked way scarier because it hit him close to his eye.That was a crazy game. Fiers also hit the pinch-hitter that replaced Stanton, too, but the umpire called both pitches swinging strikes.

I loved the original on SNES. I started this one last night figuring it would just be a grind, but I had a lot of fun with it.

There was no one online, though. The hardest trophy is for 50 online wins, so maybe we can play a few if you start it up.

I completely forgot about the whole 9/11 thing. I saw somebody post something about 9/11 and thought "what a weirdo. Why post that shit?" and then several other people posted and I remembered it was 9/11.

So...I guess they got what they wanted? Well, no, because I forgot, so I didn't "never forget." Instead I was "forget but be reminded."

Yeah I didn't see Reed's swing, but the benches clearing was a little absurd. No way Fiers hit either guy on purpose.

So far no reports of anything other than a laceration, which is great news. Maybe it kinda hit between his facial bones and nothing is broken.

Multiple facial fractures and dental damage. Tough to see because he's been fun to watch this year, even as a Braves fan. Miami was reportedly going to offer him the largest deal in franchise history this offseason, so hopefully this doesn't mess that up for him.

They've had bad luck this year with injuries to their young stars. First Jose Fernandez goes down to Tommy John surgery, and now this.

How're you liking KZ3? It doesn't seem to get much love in here, but I liked 2 and Mercenaries quite a bit so I'm hoping for it to be decent when I get to it.

 
And btw, there was no raping going on. I just had to man up and go to bed. After a few years and a child together, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be rape at that point. Itd just be considered being a dick.

Holy cow, that sucks. He'll heal up and ultimately be ok physically, I just hope it doesn't have a lingering mental affect on him.

Haven't played it much yet, but so far I like it. Great production values of course, and the guns have a good feel to them. The Helghast aren't quite the bullet sponges they were in 2 so that's a plus as well. The cover mechanic is interesting but ultimately seems pretty useless so far. Looking forward to blasting through the campaign this weekend.

 
Finished the Under Defeat plat last night.  I am getting very close to 11K world rank on PSNP.  I need to try and get back some distance between me and Tyler and the gang.  He has been charging hard lately, but a lot of that has to do with newer games he is playing as well.  In the long run he, simmias and Vig will pass me anyway but I would like to stay in the top 10 as long as I can.

The streak calculation fucks up a lot. Usually if you rebuild your streak it will fix itself.

EDIT: Apologies for saying what had already been said, I was just going through all the posts from last night in order.

I am still mentally preparing for that level day by day. Those red wall diagonal jumps three in a row you have to phase through. and then all those enemies you have to fight, all without dieing. Crazy.

oh and for triple play you just need to get all 3 class kills at once or very soon in a row. I got lucky and when I was playing control there were 4 dudes on B and I threw my grenade and my nova bomb special and wiped all 4 out, and ding triple play silver trophy. I had 10 kill streaks going before and I was pretty sure I killed all classes, so this is glitched that it has to happen all at once. You have to play a ton of crucible/vanguard missions to get the max weekly total anyway, so you should def get it on the way either way.

you also see the graphic about scavenger and raids starting this weekend and tuesday, respectively.

Don't forget the red-wall-that-you'll-slide-into-unless-you-phase-through-it-at-just-the-right-time after those jumps and the one wall you have to phase through in mid-air over a lava death pit.
