Munky, will you continue to play Destiny? You seemed to enjoy it for the most part. Other than all the god damn plot holes.
It they patch in levels that explain why there are so many bones on the moon and how they got jungles on venus, then yes.

But for real, I'll probably slow down next week, but I'll most likely be playing it for a while unlike Tyler "Mr Flipper" H.

Sony talking about the Vita again.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-09-11-sony-insists-vita-isnt-going-anywhere

Maybe this quote will be enough to kill all the hope of you insane holdouts who still think Sony has any interest in truly supporting the Vita:

Will Sony release the likes of Uncharted or Killzone on Vita ever again? Probably not, Gara said. "But what we are excited by is the number of games we can take to the platform that have been created for other platforms.

This is Bungie we're talking about, they'll never explain those things.

But the game will never be short on content or things to do. Unless you're Snakey, then you run out of stuff to do after you boot the game up.

New poll idea:

How many ugly lovers have you had?

And be sure to include the word "lovers" because everyone loves the word "lovers".

Here's the NPD top 10 games:

1. Madden NFL 15 (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3)
2. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3, PC)
3. Minecraft (360, PS3)
4. The Last of Us (PS4, PS3)
5. Call of Duty: Ghosts (360, Xbox One, PS4, PS3, PC, Wii U)
6. Lego Marvel Super Heroes (360, PS3, Wii U, PS4, 3DS, DS, Xbox One, Vita, PC)
7. Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (360, PS3, PS4, Xbox One)
8. Watch Dogs (PS4, 360, PS3, Xbox One, PC)
9. Battlefield 4 (360, PS3, PS4, Xbox One, PC)
10. The Lego Movie Videogame (360, 3DS, PS3, Wii U, PS4, Xbox One, Vita)

I bolded the ones that seem interesting.
  • Madden sold better on PS4 than Xbone, some considering that there has been a shift of the dudebros. (this number doesn't include Madden copies that were sold with Xboner though)
  • Garden Warfare doing better on last-gen for whatever reason.
  • Watch Dogs sales are all kinds of wacky.  Not sure why Xbone is 4th there, behind both last-gen consoles.

Expanding on this, here's the breakdown of Madden on each console:

15: 4~35%, 1~27%, 360~22%, 3~16%

Also, Diablo 3 by console:

D3: 4-39%, 1~28, 360~19%, 3~14%

An 81 makes you laugh?

Oh yeah, I forgot games that score under a 95 are failures.
Yeah, man, I actually didn't claim it was a failure. Only a few posts before yours I said Transistor was my favorite PS4 game and it has a score of 84.

However, I find it funny that Bungie embargoed reviews for a game that was touted as something it clearly is not. The middling scores would be less of joke had they not delayed them. Yes, it's hilarious after they got everyone's pre-order money. And keep in my mind this is reportedly the most expensive game ever developed.

I'm curious to see if it can even stay above 80. Glad you're enjoying it, though. Crucible's fun. I like the music and atmosphere. Guns feel good to shoot. Everything else is a letdown but maybe the DLC can improve things.

None of y'alls have this problem, right?

Tyler and Stotch, your master-race PS4s are almost certainly in the clear.
I haven't because I'm digital only, but of course since I bought MGS Ground Zeroes on disc I'll probably have that problem.

Lifetime to Date software sales for the new-gen consoles:

PS4: 7.45 mil
XB1: 7.2 mil
WiiU: 4.62 mil

Xbone keeping pace their, meaning they're selling more games per owner than PS4 is.  Interesting, don't really have an explanation for that one.  This doesn't include digital at all.

Oh yeah, and WiiU has been out a year longer than either of the next-gen twins.

I have played Destiny about 10  hours now, mostly Crucible (I don't think I have even started the Moon) and so far I am really liking it. Things I would love to see-

-12 person free for all deathmatch

-Tons of match customization like the Halo games

-Better matchmaking

-More maps

-Maybe some kind of every one is level 1 or level 20 mode to make a totally even playing field

I might have more thoughts on stuff I would like to see added or changed later

Overall software tie ratio (retail):

Wii U: 3.40
XB1: 3.23
PS4: 2.88

Meaning the average PS4 owner has purchased 2.88 games for the system.  PS4 probably lowest because a lot of casual gamer "hype" purchasers probably grabbed a PS4 just because and haven't bought anything for it.

Think plus has something to do with it?

Most multiplayer games are balanced so your level/gear doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is you might have different ability unlocks, like certain grenades that a lower level person doesn't have.

Numbers like this really need to go away as they're not very informative of real sales with the move to digital, IMO.

Interesting. Maybe I'm just just doing better because I've gotten better as opposed to my gear getting better. I suppose it makes way more sense to do it that way.

I think PS Plus contributes to the number, but I don't think it describes the discrepency between PS4 and Xbone, especially since GwG is similar. It would be more interesting to compare to PS3/Xbox 360 numbers at this same time in their lifecycles to see if PS Plus has any effect.

If I was still into Nintendo/Smash Brothers, I'd be super pissed that a lot of sites like IGN are plastering the hidden in-game characters all over their front pages.
