And let us be clear about something. My thread was not calling out the mods. I was creating a thread to discuss deals on mods for consoles. And not THAT kind of mod. This kind of mod:

I honestly don't understand what the big fuck ing deal is about a character reveal for Smash Bros. Omg biting nails in anticipation, omg fuck ing Sonic is in Smash OH MY ZGOD!

I get pretty tired of it being "news" in my news feed.

8. Watch Dogs (PS4, 360, PS3, Xbox One, PC)

  • Watch Dogs sales are all kinds of wacky. Not sure why Xbone is 4th there, behind both last-gen consoles.
Well let's see if I can logic this...

Xbox 360 had a paid multiplayer service and PS3 had a free multiplayer service, so those who predominantly play multiplayer games are more likely to pick a 360 over a PS3 for the perceived superior experience, correct? Now, since the PS4 is objectively stats wise better, cheaper (at release), and released first (instead of months later like the PS3); the main reason a person would buy an xbox one over a PS4 is because they already had a 360 and are invested in that ecosystem, correct? So a disproportionate number of Xbone owners early adopters will probably spend a higher % of their time playing multiplayer games compared to PS4 owners.

So in that contest, while first year Xbone owners are still playing multiplayer games like CoD: Ghosts, the PS4 owners (who are a cross of previous PS3 owners who care less about multiplayer in general, 360 converts, and new players) may be more likely to gravitate to single player focused games. The less hardcore players who still only have previous gen consoles, may also be more likely to pick up single player focused games, not to mention there are still a fuck ton of previous gen console so if only a small % of users buy it and it could dwarf the Xbone sales.

So who here today is gonna eat a chicken quesadilla? All that quesadilla talk yesterday finally got to me.

One of these days I'm gonna make a Mac & Cheese chicken quesadilla. That sounds so good.

Do the majority of you guys use Skype when playing multiplayer?
I have used google hangouts when all people did not have a mic in the past. It works really well, and is not made by MS.

With the PS4, that should never be a problem due to the packed in microphone. Although I am sure some *cough*rpg*cough* will still have some sort of excuse.

PS4 needs more games apparently. Not that there isn't good stuff but the top 25 looks like a lot of old stuff at this point. 2015 is going to be great though for the platform.

Time to do the dishes, pick up these legos, quick shower and shave and then hopefully try out Velocity. To be followed  5 minutes afterwards by quitting it in frustration. I really don't have much patience for runners and twitch gameplay.

Now that I have finished Second Son and will finish Dead Nation in another month with Chewy, I really want to play TLOU.   I hope it goes on sale by years end.

I was curious because I am going to play some Destiny co-op on PS3 and was asked if I have Skype because they will be using it to communicate. I assumed everyone just used headsets. It makes sense that you can talk outside of the game though so I can see this being good for boosting trophies. They have headsets, but apparently this is easier/better?

On the PS3, yeah. On the PS4 and/or Vita, you can do party chat and still have communication outside of the game's normal settings. It works well if you want to be able to talk to people on another team that you would not normally be able to hear.
