Gold = Backlog

Silver = Beat before, but on another console

Green = 2nd tier backlog (games I have but don't really want to play, or played some of and dislike)

The scores are kind of just a subjective thing, don't take them too seriously.  I just kind of think up a score when I update my list.  I'm not sure why I do it.

Uh-huh, sure.

I'm going to pass on Shadow Warrior for now, though--something about it screams "$9.99-$14.99 from Gamefly in a few months".
It's a 12-hour game according to HLTB. It's supposed to be a ton of fun, but I'm not sure how much replay value it has, nor how much gaming the trophies will add.

Seems like SW isn't that recognizable a series, though. I'd be surprised if it retained its value for long.

Why didn't you just put them all in one SS on different tabs?

Also, I feel much less nerdy all of a sudden.

I really lucked out getting a free copy from my reviewer friend.

And now that the embargo is over, I can say the game is pretty sweet. It feels A LOT like the original, so if you liked the original I don't see how you wouldn't like this one. There is a lot of content in the game, but a lot of it is just different challenges within the main story missions, so it's definitely going to get grindy as you play the same levels over and over if you want to go for everything.

The game is also a trophy machine. I got like 32 bronze trophies from about 6 hours of play. It's cool. 7 bronze trophies after I finished the tutorial level.

Also I can post this now, since Defense Grid clearly knows what's up:

Next time I drive past a church I will be sure to stop. Go in. Find the pastor or whatever and tell him all his crosses are wrong.  Because they are not at a 45 degree angle and have one leg that is longer than the other.  Shit aint right.

Well it's not bad backlog wise except for the PS3 list :) Ni No Kuni, I'm guessing that's in a lot of people's backlogs including mine. You could probably take out some of those games outright. It's not usually a practice I like to do either but I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that I can't play everything anymore no matter how much I want to.

Every one with a backlog more than a handful of games should just admit now that they will never clear it out.  Unless you give up gaming, you will end up like Vag.  Dead with a ton of credit at multiple stores.

Geez.

Called Gamestop to see if they had a game in stock that I put in a hold request for yesterday and the guy told me he didn't have time and h/u on me

:shame:

Unless you go digital in which you'll have nothing since all the servers will be shut down at some point. :) I don't know if I'll really get through all the backlog but I'm trying to make a better stab at it currently. Limiting myself to 1 system this gen is definitely going to play a big part in that. I'm trying to be a little more selective as well. We'll see. Free Plus games and great PSN sales make it HARD, again Sony slapping us in the face!

I'm doing a lot better with my PS4 collection, though obviously that's partially due to the fact that there aren't nearly as many good games releasing as there were for the last few years on PS3.

I've definitely toned my purchasing down a good amount though. When I first found out about CAG, I basically purchased every digital game I even had a fleeting interest in the first time it went 30%-50% off. I'm way more selective now. I defnitely have a few questionable purchases in my PS3 PSN list, especially near the bottom. Super Stacker, I'm looking at you!

Hey, I'm clearing my stuff. Speak for yourself.

Admittedly my PS3 backlog has grown about 20 games in the past month or so, but that's because I've gotten into GS and have picked up a number of disc-only games. Plus I only bought a PS3 a year ago. There are probably 20-30 PS+ games in there I need to verify whether I'm interested in, but that still leaves around 80 games I do intend to play.

I make use of PS3T's collection feature to keep track of my backlog. Granted, there are things in there I never plan to go back to, but I leave it in the list to piss me off about not finishing it (Mirror's Edge). After trying Dead Nation this past weekend at a friend's I may nuke all 3 of those entries too.

I might join PST.org now to make use of that feature.

As an aside, I actually got Mirror's Edge a couple of weeks ago... :whistle2:

It is also more difficult to tame the PS3's backlog since this generation was unusually long compared to previous gens, particularly for the 360 players since that system came out even earlier.

I hope you enjoy it. I hated it from the start and decided I was just not going to spend anymore time on it.
I liked it on 360 years ago, but I wasn't able to devote much time to it back then because of school. The prospect of earning trophies plus the tantalizing TT score/rarity on PSNP gave me the final push to try it on PS3.

Yeah, I got started late on the PS3 which didn't help. I have a lot of sequels to play, Uncharted 3, Infamous 2, Portal 2 (might be next), God of War Ascension, etc. etc. I'm trying to catch up on the series(s) that I'm most interested in first to be ready for their respective sequels on the PS4. I feel like I'm still at least 1 behind on everything though. I'd love to finish up Infamous 2 and Festival Of Blood and go play Second Son. NEED MORE HOURS....

Madden 15 calls it the cross button too. I think a bunch of games call it that. That might be the official name.

But you can still fuck off with your box, hoop, and pyramid bullshit.

I am speaking for myself. I gave up on these Monster World/Wonder Boy games real quick because I am trying to get rid of all these PS3 games so I can go PS4 only.

Aw, thats cute. You thought I was serious. Thanks but I get ridiculed enough as it is.

Any of you played the Darksiders 2 DLC? I have Argul's Tomb already from the LE. Might grab the other one.

I was hoping the Liberation HD/Freedom Cry bundle would be on sale for a decent price, but it isnt in there. Of course, that might be better since if Freedom Cry is cheap Ill just get it for PS4.
Looks like it's $9.49: https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-us/games/assassin%27s-creed-freedom-cry/cid=UP0001-CUSA00416_00-ACBFDLCSPSA00001

Can someone summarize what Borderlands 2 DLC wasn't included in the GotY installs, and which ones out of those are worth getting?

AC: Liberation is on the weekly deals page. Cool. Right now it shows 13.49, not sure if that's the normal price. I really hope that's not the sale price.  :wall:

When I saw it earlier, it was $19.99, so unfortunately, I think that is the sale price. Ill be passing again it appears.

Same goes for Freedom Cry if $9.49 is the price. Glad my expectations were set by the last sale.

There sure is a lot of Assassin's Creed. I want to get II & III moved over to the PS3 from the 360 but at $9.99 each it feels like to much.

I got my copy of Trials Fusion from Gamefly and as expected the season pass was in the box and unused. The trade-in value has dropped from $17 to $15 at Best Buy, but I'm just going to take the $15 as opposed to mailing it in for $17. That's still a season pass on the cheap. Good enough!

Why not mail it in, unless you need that money right away?

Not sure if it has been reported here, but check your gamestop PUR active offers you may have a $50 bonus on trading in a vita. Someone in the GS Trade thread said Vitas are trading in for $110 base so $160 with the coupon. It may be time to upgrade to Vita 2000...
