What's inside the Mystery Grab Bag, you ask? Well, what fun would it be if we listed them out on this page just like any other product? The Mystery Grab Bag wants to be different from other products and reward your curiosity with a surprise! We can, however, tell you that every Mystery Grab Bag consists of 3 to 5 preowned PlayStation 3 games that we've pulled out of our "Vault of Awesome Yester-Year Games" that add up to $30 to $65 in value! Okay fine, we don't actually have a vault with that name, but we can guarantee you will get at least $30 worth of awesome games to add to your collection. Wait, there's more? Yup, we failed to mention that there is also a chance your Mystery Grab Bag will include a "premium" preowned game valued up to $55! *

I'd say the high light in the unboxing videos is hearing the dissappointment in people's voices. Shall we start the penny's a day fund for them to help maybe buy less sad titles of sadness...... By the way getting a ps3 one come payday wish me luck
no. we need to start a scissor and knife fund.

That does it...You're all being punished.

Lymle got on my nerves at first, but by the end of the game I started to like her, especially when she leveled up she said "now I am better than Faize"

My turd bags should arrive tomorrow!
I still am on that ice planet...which is like 10% in the game. Another one for the backlog.

If it was part of the same order then whomever loaded your package must of been a real troll to accomplish that. Not surprised there were some dupes but all 4 games being the same including Armored Core? At least you didn't get Defiance thrown in.

Just got off the phone...

Because they are the same, they said they will refund me the cost of one of the bundles for $19.99 to my credit card I used. Apparently I don't need to return the games. I even had to ask twice to make sure I was hearing right....

I did catch something interesting though.... The guy told me that the grab bags can be 1 of 5 pre-selected bundles they have made up for the grab bag. So they are not as "random" as they say they are on the product page.

8 games for ~$10 if they do end up refunding me the $19.99. I ended up getting PUR discount and using the CAG 16 code to get the total down to $31.00....

Maybe add this to the OP?  Seems like important info to anyone thinking they would get something.

Okay, updated and organized the games by price. Let me know what you guys think of the format. I will go through the posts again and put the frequency of each game because I know there has been some doubles.

Monoxide's identical grab bag situation is probably more of a coincidence than anything. I still believe that these are all truly randomly selected by Gamestop.

Updated OP with this info. Hopefully people read it and it's not becoming too crammed.

So you don't believe what he said about being told there are 5 different preselected bundles for each system?

Well here's my unboxing video. I know my voice is pretty monotone but I attempted to make it somewhat entertaining.

If you don't want to relive the moment with me through my video, the bargains I got were:

Assassin's Creed (w/o manual) - $12.99
Alpha Protocol (no cover or manual) - $4.99
Dead Island (Defective/Refurbished) - $4.99, on sale for $3.75
Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City (Refurbished)- $9.99

EDIT: I now realize that in the case that said Episodes from Liberty City is actually Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition - $17.99. That makes the pain a little better because I don't have the original IV, only the DLC standalones.

This matches a bundle that someone claimed getting in a review on one of the product pages....

you sound like clementine

You know, to be fair, a good chunk of these games ARE considered of good ot great quality, they just...can be bought for cheap.
I was going to make the same point. Some great games (Uncharted 3) in there, but anyone who has owned their console for any length of time has had plenty of chances to get the good ones cheap.

once i saw those generic gamestop game case in the videos, i started shaking my head. that alone is a bad omen/sign. i am still waiting for someone to receive the gamestop roach special in their mystery bag

you are lucky, every game you got was game of the year from the mystery bag. and i agree, especially modern warfare 2

I remember when Gargus (Mr_Hat's old account on this site) found dead roaches in the boxes of Gamecube games he bought from Gamestop. There was a huge, funny ass thread about it on here until the mods deleted it.

I know people would be losing gamestop money/credit but it would be funny if everyone traded in all the games they got from the mystery boxes back in.

Gamestop thought they would be getting rid of older cheap games but they didn't haha

If you save them for the next promotion you might end up making a few dollars worth of flipping money back to Gamestop with these games.

that would be easy for gamestop. they just have to hold another mystery bag promotion, and package the same games in there, and ship it to customers.

Yea that's true but ya gotta think most of the orders they got were probably from cag's so they might not get as many orders as before.

But it would probably be a never ending cycle lol

Thanks for the insight. The odd thing is, there are far more than 5 variations that those of us who ordered the bundles have gotten. Some games are similar, but not the bundles in general. So unless the worker is incorrect, they might adjust the bundles to compensate for items that sell out.

Looks like these bundles are all the same. I would hate it If I bought one of these. Getting a bunch of scratched disc only games from GS. The games are decent but they are not very expensive.

This proves that GS doesn't even want these games.

Some people just have money to throw away on rubbish.  You'd be better off going into a Gamestop B&M and hand picking the games.  At least you would know what your getting (condition, completeness, etc..).  It is pretty comical though, watching these unboxing videos.  Thanks for the entertainment!

So you don't believe what he said about being told there are 5 different preselected bundles for each system?
Nope. Haven't we already had more than 5 variations posted here? And what about that "premium" bundle nonsense worth "$50"? That would make it like a 24.9% chance of getting 1 of 4 bunldles.

Sorry I just don't buy it. If they are doing it that way, they are morons of the lowest caliber. They could do tiers and include 1 $10-$15, a $5-$10, 2 shovelware or something like that and randomly choose from each tier.
