Nintendo is so fucking cheap.  They're selling a Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire bundle for $80 and throwing in 200 free in-game potions as a bonus for buying it.

They seriously couldn't even knock $5 - $10 of the price as an incentive to buy them both?

They've said that Sunset Overdrive could possibly come to PS4 in the future but they have no plans for it.

Exactly.

Oh, that was a ghost pepper I put in the pot? Crap, I thought it was a jalapeno.

(wouldnt do that, you could actually kill someone. for real.)
Ghost Pepper isn't too bad. I haven't used any recently, but when I was making taco soup regularly I'd usually add 3-4 ghost peppers.

Too much spice if you're not used to it can be a problem the next day, though.

Wow Xbone $350 I definitely won't be getting one. If it's $50 less than a PS4 it must be vastly inferior.

Sunset Overdrive will most likely be on PS4 at some point but if it's not I'll live. Infamous meets Crackdown looks like fun but doesn't have that "must buy a console" for this feel to me at all.

It's going to take a fuck load of miracles to get me to buy more than PS4 this gen.
Honestly its going to take me quite a bit of coaxing just to get me to that point this gen as unlike the other gens which felt like quantum leaps with each new step (not just in graphics but in gameplay and system features) this one just feels like an incremental improvement. I mean lots of game still at 30 FPS? That'd be like releasing a 4 x 3 only game for the PS3. One of the main reason we updated to a PS3 was for HD gaming and the reason we are upgrading to a PS4 is 60FPS+ and 1080P (IE. better performing than a PS3). It doesn't help matters that they still haven't implemented the promised suspend feature which would be a nice next gen feature upgrade.

I want suspend too! Best feature on the Vita hands down. I wish digital games had the option of a checkmark to start upon boot or something. I buy everything on the webstore, don't need ads and other nonsense clouding up the experience or taking me longer to get into it.

Here's 2 original songs that Sublime covered on the S/T album:

On the gamecube note I have a Wind Waker save from when it launched on Gamecube, never felt like finishing it. The sailing around everywhere sucks. I think I have or am close to getting fast travel but meh. I wish I could just go dungeon to dungeon in this one because the game is great and still looks amazing even on the cube version in 480p. I also recently tried Super Mario Sunshine but having already played Galaxy it felt annoying so I sold it. I wasn't this jaded in the Gamecube era but now I just kind of feel like eh whatever with these 2. I still have Wind Waker and might go back or I might just say scew it and sell it off and replay it when it comes to a Nintendo handheld.

You should totally make some nasty ass chilli for Ms. Presumptuous.
I would except that would be wasting food. I like Zimms idea.

Is this the cousin that you're going to set up with pharm? Can't wait to hear those stories.
Ya

She sort of sucks at cooking

Actually out of our family only myself and my
Grandma cook good, the rest try, but they suck. So whenever I go anywhere or family visits they always make me cook.

Edit: now that I think about it, I'm the only one who would help her cook and try to learn so makes sense

But the changelog tells you if it's going to brick your system, right? That's why if you update without reading it, and it bricks your system, you're a dummy? So since you were talking about just PS4, I guess I missed that.

Dont forget guys, everyone check that changelog first for the warning on whether or not it's going to brick your system. If you don't see it there, it's 100% safe to do.
You're right to caution everyone not to install the update immediately. Always wait a bit. Semantics aside, that should be the takeaway here so sorry if I confused anyone. And, yep, I remember the exact firmware you're talking about that bricked a bunch of PS3s lol. I just don't recall it installing automatically. You and SJD make up, man.

Every time a new Ninja Turtles game is released I die a little inside. Nothing will compare to playing the arcade Ninja Turtle games with 3 other people.

Hmm. I donated, but when I go to the rafflecopter link I don't see anything in the Enter to Win section. It says "Loading…" for a second, and then it's just blank. This was in Safari. Then I tried in Firefox and it says "This contest is no longer accepting entries". Not a big deal, but figured I'd let you know.

Now Firefox is doing the same thing - the section to enter to win is blank.
Thanks for donating and informing me about this! I have Chris looking into it.

CAG being stuck in desktop mode for mobile sucks so bad. I saw a few others mention it before. Guess I'll try Tapatalk again.
Where's my prize?! Bait 'n switch!
I'll ask Chris. He's at work right now so I should know by tonight.

For Fatality I know we'll need to get your shipping address since you won a headset.

I thought he took care of everything yesterday but he may have just updated the prize list. I'll get some clarification and make sure we get the digital codes distributed.

My mobile version of CAG just got stuck in desktop mode. The mobile version link doesn't work on any page.

I'll start using referral links if this gets fixed.

That's weird because my mobile version got stuck in mobile mode yesterday. Switched ok now though.

EDIT: ok now that I switched ok out of mobile mode, I can't get back to it like the rest of yall. Oh well. I only use the browser to post so my sig will post. Otherwise I use Tapatalk to read.

Trophies should relate to one of two things, IMO; story or gameplay. Not time, which is what developers often seem to aim their trophies at.
This is my biggest contention with trophies but, alas, "bait!!". Anyway, I think Destiny is another great example of how to implement them. The other day I noticed I was only four away (not including the platinum) from completion. Sure, I've sunk an ungodly amount of hours into it but it required nothing that felt antithetical to the way Bungie intended for it to be played. That's all I ask.

When I get the plat it'll feel incredibly satisfying. The only one I'm currently nervous about is 'Flawless Raider' which, as the name imples, requires a deathless raid from the ENTIRE team. It wouldn't be such a concern if the end part wasn't so prone to glitches (ex. running through portals).

That's one of the major draws of trophy hunting to me. You lose that feeling with overly easy plats.

I think Infernal Affairs may be coming to Netflix next month. That would be awesome. It's the movie that The Departed was based on.
Infernal Affairs is such a superior film. I hated how Scorsese didn't really acknowledge in the credits that The Departed took a lot of elements from IA.

I like the inclusion of story progression based trophies as at least a part of the mix of trophies. Not only is it useful feedback for the developer to easily see where people lost interest or got stuck, but it's interesting to me personally to see where individual people stopped playing. IE. Someone talking shit about Demon's Souls and you can look to see if they got stuck at the beginning and rage quit.

Only 7.25% of people completed Bloodrayne Betrayal, it would have interested me to see bronze trophies for the completion of every 3 (or 5) chapters to determine where people by and large stopping playing as that is a really low completion %.

I agree. I wasn't arguing against story-related trophies in the post you quoted. Just pointing out that you lose that sense of accomplishment if the trophy list is overly easy.
