PSN Off-Topic - Happy Thanksgiving Chumps and Chumpettes!

At the 2nd town. Another movie had black bars on the side. Not sure why that goes back and forth, it's kinda weird. The game is pretty engaging so far. I'd started a couple of Tales games before but never really put much time into them. This one is grabbing me a bit more immediately, though.

I do like the stream of constant interactions between the characters. I know the other Tales games do the same but it's a nice touch that does add to characterization quite a bit.

Yeah, I've only played vesperia but this one seems more engaging. I'm enjoying it a lot. Maybe it's just my mood. The colors and graphics feel so washed out and flat, I think that's my only complaint. Oh and no trophies so far. what a load of shit that is. This game sucks.

It helps when you know how to kill them, but I still hate them. So far, they're only one of 2 things that make me panic when they're around.

And in today's challenge, I got killed by the other.

Well from a trophy stand point it looks really easy, just grindy. From a fun standpoint it looks to be 0/10 therms or 10/10 therms. I always forget whether more or less pharms is a good thing.

Downloading it right now though.

This Ramez dude said his streaming schedule is 11am to 4am. But he just hit 6k followers, so I guess it's working for him.

You have a long way to go tyler.

Also, I love destiny but I can't imagine running raids for 16-17 hours a day.
 
I'm still trying to ponder how full of yourself you have to be to think someone is going to remember that you cussed once in a post from a month ago and then be a little surprised when they don't.

 
hopefully that rivals complete edition deal is for all platforms. looks like a quiet black friday for me though. 3 games, unless something else jumps out in one of these "hundreds of other titles" boxes.

 
I'm not seeing a ton of good deals for BF this year. The last few years, I've spent $300+ each year, but I won't spend near that this year. Right now, the only things I think I want are Shadow of Mordor for $25, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes for $15, LittleBigPlanet 2 SE for $8, and maybe Dishonored GOTY edition for $8.

I've also learned my lesson about impulse buying movies on BF. I have some on my shelf still sealed from each of the past 3 or 4 years.

Yeah, pretty much. I'm disappointed that the Avengers is the only world included in the game but I knew this going in. I haven't read up on if it's any bigger than the other playsets since it's the only one included (but I doubt it is), which would mean we're getting a significantly less amount of content than the last game out of the box. No more collecting capsules for toy box unlocks but there's still other collectibles. The Hall of Heroes from the last game is still there and linking old figures nets you an experience boost for this game. We just started playing it so we haven't messed with the toy box hardly.

I didn't think about it, but I can start streaming it when my son and are playing if anyone would be interested. I'd have to leave comments on the screen if you want me to interact at all so it needs to stay clean since I'm playing with my son.

Second PS4 controller and Diablo 3 for me this Black Friday. Not much else catching my eye. Then again, there hasn't been a lot of interesting PS4 releases, let alone ones on sale.

Tyler, did you manage to buy Sacred Citadel for the lower PS+ price earlier?  It looks like it's been erased out of the blog post and storefront.   Those bastards!  I was going to partially enjoy that totally mediocre sidescroller at some point many months from now!     :bomb:

What in the ever-living fuck?

It's been like $2.50 on XBL a bunch of times. Of all the games to take off sale, why that one? Nobody besides me and a couple other morons with too much money were going to buy it anyway. What is so special about this game that they can't drop it to a good sale price on PSN? Deep Silver's other little dinky crumby downloadable titles (Narco Terror, WWTBAM?) have been on sale tons of times.

That is the fucking weirdest thing I've ever seen! I am literally destined to not own this game in my lifetime.

Only possible explanation to me is that it will be on PS+ soon, but I highly doubt a 62 Metacritic older beat 'em up is going to be on Plus.

I hear ya. My rage may not burn quite as hot as yours, but I was looking forward to snagging it on the cheap too.

EDIT: Guilty admission: I already have the Jungle Hunt DLC Bundle from when it was on sale for a couple bucks in April this year, so I really was happy the base game was finally going on sale. It's the Escape Plan 25¢ DLC all over again. I have a problem with PSN sale hoarding.... <hangs head in shame, but not really cause we're talking about pennies here, hehe>

He has absolutely no interest in free play mode. I think he enjoys all the story mode cut scenes and when they are done, he is done. It makes the 100% grind seem longer when I am doing it by myself.

How old is he though? My son was the same way when he was around 5. We started playing Arkham City now and he's obsessed with the Riddler trophies... he really enjoys looking at the character models in the main menu that they unlock. He turns 7 in a month.

It's a damn good thing we didn't choose Isaac for this month's game. The first person in the world just got Platinum God on the PC version. This is the same person who won the original game 500 times in a row.

Related to the platinum, I am quickly losing faith that I will ever be able to get it. If I do, it will be by far the hardest thing I have ever done in a game before

Holy crap, Isaac is addicting even though I don't really like it.  You know what would be nice?  If the fucking tears went straight.

It seems pretty random as to whether or not you'll be able to get trophies though.

Also, when you see items across pits, is there any way to get those or are they just there to taunt you?

Flying item, or a hanged man tarot card, or the magnet item

Edit: And the randomness is not the hard part. the hard part is beating the game twice on hard mode without taking a hit the entire run

I think you can pretty much do anything as long as the game saves (even changing your options). You can take your vita offline and change the dates around if you're an impatient bastard like me and don't feel like waiting.
