da fuq? PS4 and vita too? hmmmm sounds odd. Why release the game for just PS3 now?

Saw Cap America 2 and damn that was real good, way better than the new X-Men
CA2 was not a very good movie. It was poorly-focused and introduced a few ideas it just didn't handle well or resolve at all. It was about the same quality as the first CA.

The new X-Men was also not very good, though, so there is that.

I ended up buying ac blackflag, nfs rivals and skylanders swap force last bf at bestbuy for some crazy 20% gcu + bf price + b2g1free and then played rivals, gave swap force to my kids and traded black flag so the others were free. I know gamefly always has it on sale for cheap, I was just foolish for not buying it when I saw it. I even opened the link, but then got busy, then when I went back sold out. Oh wells, hopefully they have it on sale again next month ;)
BF has been available for around $2 at Target. That's the deal you should feel bad about missing.

Rogue is a lot of fun even just running around doing random shit. It doesn't appear 100% completion is necessary for the plat, but I keep doing lots of extra stuff anyway.

They didn't stop it immediately. It happened in the 1st and in between rounds they worked on it. I didn't stay to watch the second but it looks like they let her come out for the second round, fight for 90 seconds, and then the ref stopped it.

You should play today. It's a good setup with a lot of generous time-addition checkpoints.
I played a little last night before going to bed, and the current map is a lot easier than the previous one. Actually was able to make it through night 1.

One thing I dislike about Rogue is that optional mission notifications don't show up all the time. They appear at the beginning of a mission and then disappear, leaving only the main mission. I keep having to hit start to verify that the optional mission is still available and that I haven't accidentally invalidated it.  :wall:

I was ready to write off Rogue completely but hearing a lot of good buzz has me interested now for Black Friday at the $25 price point. Hopefully Amazon decides to match it.

Or for playing games with your non gamer significant other. Not that you would know anything about that

My son and I already finished story mode for Lego Batman 3.  Good news, there are no driving levels as part of story mode.  There are a couple of small flying sections.  They removed all the issues with flying by having those 3 parts all be circling around a stationary object making it essentially 2d controls.  I do not know yet what all will be there in free play, but I hope they limited the vehicle sections there too.

I am going to grab some lunch, but I might stream free play after that since there isn't much going on in here this morning.  If anyone is really bored and has nothing to do, I can fire up share play and set you up as player 2 to try out the game.

Stupid Best Buy, valuing Xbox 360 versions of games higher in trade in value than PS3 versions.  There's two games I'd trade in if I could get the 360 TIV.

Did you power through it or is it shorter than the other games? When I saw the DLC that was coming out for it I was a little concerned.

fuck these games trying to hold back content from my kid.

Well really its microsoft's fault for banning you for getting free games. If they didnt do that youd still be playing 360 and those games would be 360 games and not ps3 games.

TL:DR fuck microsoft.

PS3 owners can't win. It seems like most of the time I am looking to buy used, PS3 versions cost more..but then there is shit like this, where TIV are lower. You would think the two would go hand in hand, not be polar opposites (yes, I know, it is a sweeping generalization based off a small sample size, but fuck it, I feel like bitching).

It's hilarious that pretty much the main point of X-men Future Past
was to erase everything that happened in X-men 3.
It's a shame the major thing that happens at the mid-point of the Cap 2 movie was spoiled for me before I saw it as that slightly lessened my enjoyment of it. I didn't even make it 12 hours after the movie came out before someone dropped it in an unrelated forum, jerks.

I have high hopes for Telltale's GoT game. They've definitely been on a roll lately. Even that Borderlands trailer looked surprisingly good. Anyone know if the PS4 version is releasing at the same time as last gen?

I think all versions of GoT will be released simultaneously before the end of the year.

Is it pretty much just the same suits and puzzles from the first games? I really hated how the second game just recycled the same batman and robin suits. then all the other dc heroes were only sprinkled in for the last couple missions. (I'd rather the game be 50% batman, 50% everyone else)

Game cards (only PS+ card is pictured but I believe that would include PSN cards) are buy 1 get 1 25% off again at Target this week. If you have a red credit card for the extra 5% off that works out to around 16.87% off overall. Not as good as the ebay deal from earlier for 20% off a $50 card, but would be better if you wanted to buy in smaller quantities.

Cool maybe I'll pick up the ff prize cards this week

If you have a Frys near you and also receive those email promo codes, the one they sent today has a $5 off $20 Steam card.  1 per customer.

It's windy, sleeting, and snowing here. Of course I'm working today too, and I'm still outside cause it apparently takes two months to hire a couple cart pushers...

after visiting my store this morning it does seem to include others too (google play credit, maybe xbox spacebucks, etc). if you have money burning a hole in your wallet and you hung on to your $10 off $150 mailer you could get silly and buy 2 x $50, 2 x $20 and a $10 card for $122.50 (or $116.50 if you have a red card). I also got a $5 off $75 coupon after I checked out today, so that could be added at customer service afterwards.

So 10 hours into Shadow of Mordor I was wondering what all the hype was about.  It seemed like a not-as-good version of Assassin's Creed with a shittier story and easier Batman combat.  Then the combination of being able to manipulate Sauron's Army plus getting ridiculously overpowered (but in a crazy fun way) took over, and I've seen the light.  This game is crazy fun.

For me it was the combination of shadow step and branding that made it a lot of fun, plus being over-powered enough to curbstomp large groups of orcs easily. The manipulation part I didn't find particularly appealing.
