How good does everyone think the microsoft store xbox one deal for black friday is gonna be specifically the unity edition? Every retailer so far with the exception of target is just knocking off 20 bucks, so I don't want to face black friday crowds in hopes of saving 20 bucks lol, I would rather just buy it tomorrow so I can play master chief collection. Or can you do a buy and then a return?

Wtf, I was suppose to receive my shipment from Microsoft today and I haven't gotten anything. I've been home all day and apparently they left it on my front door at 5:06PM.

My room is literally next to the door with a window view of the walkway to the door... I only checked the status cause typically UPS packages don't get delivered until 8ish most times.

I used a $100 coupon on that order too....why is shit not going my way tonight? :wall:
Some UPS worker is playing your X1 right now.

I'd hold off if you can. Since the stores are opening much earlier this year there shouldn't really be huge crowds to wade through. Target's deal is very good and Walmart's promotion ($330 Regular Console + MCC and $30 Gift Card) is also pretty good. I expect Amazon, GameStop and the Microsoft Store will all offer some great deals as well.

Halo is currently having some online problems anyway so there's no point in running out to buy a console for it until those issues get ironed out.

i doubt people will be running to and lining up at microsoft store. especially when target ,and walmart is going to have the best deal for xbox one. i doubt microsoft will top that

Well see the thing is at the microsoft store I have 80 dollars in gift cards plus I am planning on buying an xbox off my cousin and trading it in for the $100 dollar coupon. So all in all that is about 180-(50 for xbox) = 130 off the xbox one. So it will end up costing roughly about 270 ish after taxes, I would sell unity which is selling about 40 so it would cost total about 230. Walmart has a good deal but I don't really want to risk going to the store on black friday, same thing with target. I am considering buying the xbox one on sat and just doing a buy/return on black friday if they drop the price more than 20 dollars or include a game or controller. I already bought halo and cod aw from target for the buy 2 get 1 free sale.

It's too early to say anything like that. They could have a great deal or at least something comparable to Target/Walmart.

Not sure about this amazon phone app but it shows the sso bundle in stock for me. Anyone know how to verify? I picked one up because of cag so i thought i would give you guys the heads up.

My first install experience on Xbox One was horrible. I entered my SO code and the game began to download. At 47% it stopped and said the game was ready. I was hesitant, but assumed maybe the rest of the game would download after I started it. Started the game, it gave me an "Installing" message on the game menu. I waited an hour, and it was still installing. Came back 4 hours later, still installing! I figured at this point, something must be wrong. I rebooted the Xbox, selected the game, it started and I got to play.
That is crazy. I downloaded Sunset Overdrive in about 30 minutes total, which still was longer than I would have liked to wait to play the game when I just bought the console. Halo MCC took about 45 mins to an hour in all after the patch and install. I've got MCC and Dead Rising 3 installed from disc and then SSO and Ryse downloaded along with a few of the smaller gold freebies and KI. I have already used up 45% of my hard drive. 500 GB is proving to fill up a lot faster than expected and I didn't expect it to take very long either. I'll definitely be purchasing a larger external HD for the One very soon. Aside from that though, I have loved the Xbone so far.

I think it did finish within that first hour I was waiting, since at one point while the install message was up, I started getting the toast notices for my Killer Instinct downloads, I was just too paranoid that I would break something and have to re-download all of SO again to hit the rest button.

Question: Anybody have experience with transferring warranties on an Xbox One or at a minimum an Xbox 360?

I'm going to sell my Sunset Overdrive bundle and use the funds to rebuy the AC bundle when BF comes around. So if I have my XB1 as a listed registered device under my MS account, what happens to the secondary user that's going to buy my Xbone? If something happens within the warranty period and he needs to open a claim, how will that work since it's under my profile? My understanding is that the warranty follows the console regardless of user. So as long as he calls it in and provides the serial number, he won't have any problems getting a repair? TIA.

I was in the same position as you and I never could get a "straight" answer so I went with possession as the final decider. I don't think it will be an issue as you will claim your next XBOX as your home xbox and he will have the serial number and your gamertag would not have accessed the unit in quite some time.

Where are you selling yours? I'm thinking of doing the same thing.

do u still not notice the trend with all the bf ads that has been leaked so far from big retailers? $329.99 is going to be price for assassin unity bundle.

yeah it's a little unclear because when you check the Xbox website the fine print says that the warranty is only for the original purchaser but if I'm not mistaken people have been able to get warranty repairs on Xbox one systems even though they bought them second hand. I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row in case I run into an informed buyer.

but why does it matter to you? aren't you the seller, so when you get your money, who cares about the buyer. it is not your responsibility. doesn't the buyer know he is buying a used console?

I have a guy that is interested in paying $425 for the system without the SO game (sold it separately) from Craigslist. I only had my ad up for a day. Guy is driving 1 hour one way to me. I bet I can get more for it if I wait it out.
Awesome! If I'm able to sell my new Xbox One for about 500 and also get a good deal on a one during BF, I'll be looking at an almost free One. :D Well, if I'm able to sell the supposedly terrible AssCreed.

You seem ignorant to the fact that both Walmart and Target offered better deals than that $330 price. We've seen three major retailer ads (Walmart, Target and Best Buy) and only one of them is using that $330 bundle price while the other two are offering better deals stacked on top of it. Yet you still insist that the $330 bundle is going to be the only deal? Give me a break.

Because I can use the warranty as a negotiating tactic and/or should I be asked the question, I can defend my price in case somebody wants to lowball the offer.

Yeah I saw that bundle but unless they are giving it away it is not much of a deal. $40 Gold can be had almost year round.
Yeah that is true but I'm sure quite few gamers out there want to get xbox live immediately and this probably best deal right now if you need it now.

Especially the people who upgrade from ps3 and never had live. If you had a 360 then yeah its not really much of a deal because they probably already have live.

yeah, i know this might be a shock to some people on this site. but there are still people who buy games , and xbox live cards for msrp price. instead of waiting for sale. so for them. they will probably jump at the chance for this deal

So for those who have it and are for some reason reading this thread: how important is kinect? Read some comments a while back that the xbone felt a bit incomplete without it.

The UI likes to constantly remind you that you don't have one. Like when entering download codes it tells you you can just hold up the card to the kinect, or certain functions will tell you what you can say to the Kinect to get it to activate instead. Other than that, everything works perfectly fine without it. I imagine snapping apps would be easier with voice, but I tend not to use that feature. I'd rather have my games be full screen and not in a window.

Pretty much as stated above, the kinect makes it more convenient and faster to navigate around XB1's features (recording, snapping, and accessing various sections) with voice commands. A friend loves it for watching tv, but I didn't bother hooking my cable up to it. I mainly used mine to help maintain correct form for the fitness app and voice command navigation, but ultimately sold it since I'd rather have the extra money. If it ever drops down to around $50 I could see myself picking it up again, but I don't think the Xbox feels incomplete w/o it.

Not sure if anyone cares, but the COD Bundles are now sold out on Amazon and Bestbuy.com.  They are also only showing in stock at a small handful of Best Buy stores in many areas of Southern California.  I'm frankly surprised that these things actually sold well given the discounts and/or gift cards on the cheaper bundles coming up on BF.

Do you need Kinect for Insanity and P90X?

Tried to get Target to price match the best buy mistake in their ad(The Assassins Creed Kinect bundle) but the City Target would NOT budge..said the Ad shows regular price 399 which is a mistake, wouldn't give it to me for 349 so I left. Wasn't worth the hassle of fighting with him..so will wait for a better Target deal, have 185 worth of gift cards to spend there so hopefully they will have a promo for that bundle that will be worth it

Thanks for the heads up to everyone.  Got the sunset overdrive bundle from best buy with movers coupon when it started.

I also have an online movers coupon that expires tomorrow that I bought from eBay incase my printout from changing my address online didn't work, but it did.  Will give away my online movers coupon so PM if interested, $35 off the $349 Unity bundle for $315. "Sorry code claimed"

To use with the Xbox One fitness app, you did at least 6 months or so ago. I remember trying to login and access other workouts, but Xbox wouldn't open the fitness app that has the videos because it said the kinect isn't plugged in. They only had a couple episodes for free in those two specific programs though. Quite a few other free ones to choose from too.

Finally took advantage of Best Buy's trade-in offer for the 360, got $150 + some for my trade ins..Walked out w/AC Bundle & GCU for around $220 after taxes.

Now I'm just waiting on BF to roll around so I can pick up some games!

Do any stores offer the no questions asked warranty? Back in the day, at Best Buy I got a warranty for the first Xbox and it ANYTHING happened to it. I could just take it in and get a new one. Loved that thing it was iron clad. Over the years I know a lot of stores changed that so it had to be certain issues and you had to ship it off somewhere instead of just doing the instant exchange.

Best Buy still does but it's a one time thing so if you paid for the warranty for three years and use it after one year then that's it for the warranty. You can't take the new one you exchanged it for in another year down the line and get a replacement on that particular one.

Edit: I'm pretty sure the warranty from back in the day worked the same way.

I just got my online code for $100. Does anyone know if this works for any xbox one on their site or only the special category the link takes you to. There's only three there now and the basic one is OOS...

I would love it if this works with a black friday deal or bundle.

I heard Costco still has the lifetime warranty they always had. Looking around, I see some people say they do and some people say they don't anymore. I returned my 360 last year to them because it red ringed and they just took it back, no questions. I know I had my 360 before they changed their policy though, so I'm not sure what it is now.

How long does it take between sending it in and getting coupon?  And do i require to send in the official xbox wireless controller or can i send in a third pt controller?
