The last Nintendo game I really got into was Link to the Past. I know everybody loved Ocarina, but that was the first one (that I played) that started taking the game away from combat. I don't want to spend an hour at the beginning of a Zelda game running around and doing stupid shit before I can start killing monsters, then have a bunch of my time dedicated to travel and dialogue. That's not what the series started as, and it's not what I want from a Zelda game. I just want to kill shit, and the Zelda games just don't feel like they're about that any more.It kills me to hate on Zelda because it's one of my all time favorite series, but I don't get why the internet pees their pants over it so much anymore. Twilight Princess had some rough edges and supposedly Skyward Sword was even worse. Now they show a video where you can mark waypoints, auto-drive a horse, and slow-mo aim and everyone is in awe. I've been doing all those things for years in other games.
They also actively admit that the world is extremely oversized, where Link had to ride Epona through huge grass fields of nothingness for at least 4-5 minutes. They were even talking about a bunch of other shit and not even playing while nothing at all happened on the screen besides Epona running through a field. Any other game from any other developer and that trailer is getting shit all over.
That Nintendo Effect™
i dont know wat dat game is tho. some nerdy point and click pc game? great like we need more of thoseShit just got real folks. I can't believe they are bringing back this series from the dead, but I can't wait.

I've never played or been interested in KQ, but the adventure game genre has really kicked back off recently with the Telltale games and stuff like Deponia, so it's a good time to revive this.Shit just got real folks. Are you sure? Because I'm pretty sure we already established that they don't innovate. Well now I'm just confused, guys. That's not what the series started as...
It's not innovation to copy something other franchises have been doing for years, so both statements are true. Are you sure? Because I'm pretty sure we already established that they don't innovate. Well now I'm just confused, guys.
What in Ocarina of Time (the example you used) is copied from other franchises? I want to understand how Zelda can be accused of being stagnant while also deviating too much from its origins. I'm not saying either point is wrong. It's not innovation to copy something other franchises have been doing for years, so both statements are true.
Honestly I wasn't gaming much when OoT came out so I can't make any statements about which other games available at the time it could have borrowed from. I almost made a comment about how OoT probably was more innovative than what they're doing nowadays, but I simply can't back that argument up (or the reverse) without doing quite a bit of research on the games out in the same time period. What in Ocarina of Time (the example you used) is copied from other franchises? Btw, you should give ALBW a try. Addresses all of your complaints.
Therm was saying that OoT was when the Zelda franchise began moving away from action and more into adventure. I don't recall him saying that OoT specifically stole from other franchises. What in Ocarina of Time (the example you used) is copied from other franchises? Turkeys are evilIsn't Matt our resident Hunter? Matt how big does a turkey need to look in order to be a big turkey? We have a park behind the neighbors houses across the street and big ass turkeys wander into our yards from time to time. They look big and mean. They are about 4 feet tall or so and are pretty plump looking.
pretty sure you watched too much south park with that one.Turkeys are evil
I'm not gonna get into it
Just trust me
Apparently some people don'tin asshole.
Anyone who encourages posts goes on my shit list.
Nopretty sure you watched too much south park with that one.
Matt has a hunter. But I think he mostly uses his warlock and titan.Isn't Matt our resident Hunter? Matt how big does a turkey need to look in order to be a big turkey? I always charge my Pulse Elites by using a DS3 charge cord plugged into an adapter in a regular outlet. That way I always have the wireless adapter and other DS3 charger cord with 2nd DS3 plugged into the PS3 front. Just plug them in every night when I go to bed, and it's good to go in the morning. That way the only time I have to unplug something is for Disney Infinity/Skylanders time, which I need two co trollers for anyway.I do have to say that the Golds have, in addition to the lack of BT, another shitty aspect; it requires 2 USB ports. One for the wireless adapter and the other for charging the Golds. If you've got a slim, that's it--you're all out of ports. Makes things a bit annoying when considering that the DS3 also needs a charging port unless you're using some other device or hub to manage that.
The Golds use microUSB. DS3 uses miniUSB. From your statement I'm guessing the Pulse Elites use mini and so are also compatible with the DS3 cable.I always charge my Pulse Elites by using a DS3 charge cord plugged into an adapter in a regular outlet. Well, that shit was funny. Weird, but funny. A joke is a joke. Shouldn't matter who posts it. Stop holding grudges nub.Apparently some people don'ting understand this no matter how hard the rest of us try. I'm going to suggest that as a thread, we start ignoring Guardian, Breakfuss, and Therm as well until they get the God damn hint.
Ahhh....well that's dumb. Same solution should work though with the USB adapter in an outlet. The Golds use microUSB. DS3 uses miniUSB. From your statement I'm guessing the Pulse Elites use mini and so are also compatible with the DS3 cable.

I understand what he's saying and its a valid complaint. Just funny because people also accuse the series of not "innovating". So maybe we're talking different aspects of the game, I don't know.Therm was saying that OoT was when the Zelda franchise began moving away from action and more into adventure. I don't recall him saying that OoT specifically stole from other franchises.
My response to you was more in regards to how you questioned how a series could change but people complain about lack of innovation. Innovation isn't change. Innovation is new. A series of games can change with every iteration, but if the change is stuff that's been done elsewhere then it's not innovating to do so.I understand what he's saying and its a valid complaint. cell shade looks great but snippits of gameplay look awful to generic.Shit just got real folks. I can't believe they are bringing back this series from the dead, but I can't wait.

God, you're so casual. Go back to Angry Birds, you n00b.OoT is probably one of my favorite games. I think that really got me into other games besides Mario and all that.
What theGod, you're so casual. Go back to Angry Birds, you n00b.
Who cares? It's King's Quest. Insta-buy just for trying.cell shade looks great but snippits of gameplay look awful to generic.
I never heard of that series (?) that it's reviving (if I gathered that right from the comments), but it looks interesting to me.Who cares? It's King's Quest. Insta-buy just for trying.
Ah that would explain why I know nothing about it then.E, kings quest is probably older than you. It's an old pc game.
I was 4 when this came out:Do you know what Oregon trail is? They came out around the same time. When I was really young.
Resident hunter, lmao. Stotch already stole any thunder I could have generated and I likely would have came up with the same response. I've been hunting a couple of times over the course of 25 years or so. My advice...shoot that motherIsn't Matt our resident Hunter? I remember Oregon Trail, but if it came out in 1984 like what Therm posted then I wasn't even born yet.Do you know what Oregon trail is? They came out around the same time. When I was really young.
arkham knight will drop like a rock, just like all the previous gamesMGS V: The Phantom Pain's release date might be June 22, 2015--Kojima was wearing a shirt during the show last night with Swedish text that a Reddit user translated into "the 22nd" and "the 6th": http://www.metalgearinformer.com/?p=16925
Obviously this is just a rumor, but If it's true, that would give me about 3 weeks to play the heck out of Arkham Knight.![]()
Good luck that game is super long.I guess I have about 6 months to finish Ground Zeroes. I sure hope I can do it
