Yep, and there are more competent people with less heavy accents offshore. Best Buy is clearly being very cheap and scraping the bottom of the barrel. Indian isnt as cheap as it used to be either. Well under US costs, but there is so much competition from all the US companies over there now that BB may be stuck with some bad deals.

It depends on where they go on sale. And I'm actually not as credit-rich as a few months ago, thanks to Black Friday and Christmas shopping: ~$400 at Best Buy, ~$300 at Gamestop, ~$50 at Target, ~$150 at Walmart, and ~$550 at Amazon. If the Golds go on sale at Amazon for $69.99 or less (yes, I know I missed out when they matched Gamestop's BF price--I'm kicking myself for that), then I'll get them.

Yeah, the initial trouble of going through the list almost made me stop. I don't really have to deal with the download list any more, since searching is easier. But it's still frustrating that there aren't any filters on the download list, seems like a simple addition.

I purposely left this ambiguous, but I was more making fun of him for going to a "spa" than the people in the pics. But I was also disapointed that there wasnt really a hottie in the group that I could see.

My cousin married a woman that owns a salon and I have noticed that everyone that works at a salon tends to start looking fairly similar. Not sure if thats good or bad for business, but they seem to do well enough.

Thanks for the heads up. Tempted to grab the color versions of 4 + 5. I've got all the available print color editions but I usually end up buying the digital copies as well.

And I just realized how stupid that is. I'm gonna go waste money on an amiibo instead. Everything is dumb.

I've only played about an hour of each, but they are both better than I expected.

Flyhunter Origins is a cool little platformer with a goofy story and a main character that looks like a cross between a Minion from Despicable me and a penis. Seems like it'll be a short game and easy 100%, but I've enjoyed hopping around the environments so far. Combat isn't the best, but it works well enough.

Rock Boshers is a tribute to Commodore 64 tape loaded games, so it looks pretty bad. Characters are tiny and have no detail, but the gameplay is pretty fun. Twin stick shooting & puzzle solving, w/ multiple weapons and keys to find each level. You also collect food stuffs to unlock mini-games in the arcade. Made by the people that made Aqua Kitty that came out a couple weeks ago, and one of the mini-games is a demake of that game. Seems like another relatively short and easy 100%.

Again, I'm only an hour into each, but I would recommend them when they go on sale next.

I completely understand him being cheap with video games. We all are here to some level. I just don't understand having that kind of credit and not getting something I wanted is all. Granted, it doesn't matter if I don't understand it since it doesn't really affect me at all. Hopefully he doesn't think I am trying to belittle him about it or anything. It just interests me why you would spend the time flipping stuff to build up credit if you aren't going to use it to reward yourself with something you want.

I suppose it's because I wouldn't really want the Golds for much more than being able to chat while playing online, so as a primarily single-player gamer, I have to take that into consideration when determining how much I'd pay for them. I don't have to worry about keeping the sound down while playing, and I'm satisfied with my sound setup in general.

Completely agreed with everything you said here. I used to be a lot more like him. Then realized I was happier worrying less about every single $1 I saved. As long as I save some money and get something I really want I am happy. But if worrying about every single $1 makes him happy then great.

Yeah, I mean I love having credit (sitting on similar amounts myself) but at the same time that only makes me want to buy stuff at release more often. Especially with Best Buy's GCU and $10 preorder bonuses.
 
I'm way behind in Geometry Wars 3, but the boss after the Emerald boss wasn't nearly as tough. I think my only issue with this game is that while there are 5 different drones, the only one that really makes any sense, from what I can tell, is Collect. To progress in the game you need to get high scores since you're locked out of bosses until you get enough stars, and the Collect drone gets the geoms for you and increases your multiplier, leading to higher scores. The other drones will help you finish a particular level, but not get a score high. Or are you guys getting 2 and 3 stars with a different drone???

 
$10 psn codes are in stock at Sony rewards. I just happened to have 1002 points so I snagged one. Always forget about that thing so I assume everyone else does too.

Whenever there are small/narrow places I go with the sniper (sometimes the firepower). Other than that collect is the way to go.

Yeah, the other drones are pretty situational. I've gotten most of my stars with the first extra firepower drone but now I'm having to use the collect drone a lot. The ram is super useful too on anything where its autonomy can be abused (sniper levels, painters).

huh I'll have to try out the ram. First time I used it I thought it was fucking useless so I never went back to it.

There's a trophy where you have to not shoot in one of the adventure levels for 60 seconds (can't remember the name). Try doing it with the upgraded ram and you'll see how it works.

It does seem useless against swarms though.
 
So far I suck at adventure mode geometry wars, I've only gotten maybe 1 or 2 of the drones unlocked though. Do those really effect the points you can get? 

Also: fuck the pacifism beat the dev trophy. I mean, I know theres no way I'm ever get the plat for this one, but man I always end up trying to cut back through a gate and crashing into the one blue guy that somehow didn't explode.
