Fantasy Football "Who should I start?" Thread, 2014

I'm starting Gordon this week. The way the Browns' passing game has struggled, I am sure they will try to get him the ball. The only thing I am worried about is how limited his snap count will be. He is supposedly in great shape, but you still need to get into "game shape."

I don't think Tate will affect McKinnon much. Sounds like they signed Tate as insurance, but McKinnon practiced today. I am sure McKinnon will continue to fall victim to TD vulturing, though...

This guy in my league dropped Sanders, didnt say anything till today. He claims he tried to cancel it but it "didnt work" now everybody arguing whether i should drop him or not. Oh yea and im the commissioner. Happy Friday!

Feel pretty good about my team going into playoffs. Currently 8-3 and 2nd best record by 1 game. I lead the league in total points by almost 200 points. My only real weakness is Qb as I have been streaming between Flacco, Tannehill and now McCown. Picked up Gordon in like week 2 and have been stashing him all year. Rolling this week with:

McCown at QB
Lynch and Foster at RB
Gordon and Mike Evans at WE (got Antonio Brown on bye)
Kelly at TE
Parker at K

My only questions are Eagles or Dolphins for D/st and Hopkins, Fitzgerald, Richardson or Wright at Flex.

Foster sounds pretty iffy to play on Sunday. If so, you'd have to play Richardson at RB and I'd take Hopkins in the Flex. Eagles D against Tennessee at home is a much better matchup

Who would you pick as a flex (1/2 PPR):

M Crabtree vs WAS

C Fleener vs JAX

T West @ ATL

F Jackson home in DET vs NYJ

I think I'm leaning toward Fleener.

I need to pick 5: Who's the must starts!

T. Smith
D. Baldwin
e. Decker
J. Edelman
J. Gray
I. Crowell
d. Robinson

I'm probably going to leave out decker because of the blizzard, and he hasn't been too consistent anyways. Maybe Crowell leave out too, but he has such a high projected score.

Thanks, I like this option. I'm so torn on smith...screwed me over all year, then finally has been on a tear the last few weeks...been watching Edelmans status, sounds like he's healthy for this week.

Benched morris and McKinnon and crowell did well. He has tannehill and miller left and I have Brews and Gore left. I'm up by 30

Lost by 5..should have known Mr serious belicheck wouldnt play gray..now I'll watch Torrey smith and decker tear it up on my bench tonight.

Already in the playoffs, and I missed out on a first round bye, so this week is just about seeding for 3-6. Want to beat my friend, though, and I got a crappy decision to make for my RB2. Gio splitting work with Hill...but against Tampa...or Ryan Mathews once again the featured back for the Chargers...but against Baltimore's tough run D...

Alright guys, I've been on a bit of a skid so I'm questioning what to do with my team right now. At WR, Maclin already got a start and I current have Cobb and Roddy White slated for starts. Cobb is playing against the Pats, which have had a really rough D recently, and White is playing against the Cardinals, with a potentially balky ankle.Should I slot in Kelv Benjamin or Martavis Bryant for either one?

While I'm at it... RB2. Jennings @Jax, McKinnon vs Car, or Crowell @Buf.

And why not. Defense. Vikings vs Car, or Patriots @GB.

I think I'd stick with White and Cobb at WR, Crowell at RB2, and the Vikings D.

Almost every lineup decision I've made for my own team this year has blown up on the launchpad, so take that for what it's worth.

Needed to win in 2 of my 4 money leagues plus have a ton of things break right in both to make the playoffs and it miraculously happened. Have now made the playoffs in all leagues four years in a row. Hopefully I can gain some steam with one or two or my squads.

I've got a good feeling this year. Finished with the most points in the regular season, but missed out on a bye, because I was only 8-5. My lineup is pretty much set, except for RB2.

QB - Brady

RB -Ingram

RB- J. Bell/Gio/Mathews

WR- A. Brown

WR - Gordon

TE - Gronk

Flex - Hopkins

I have some tough choices and matchups this week in the first round of the playoffs:

eagles vs. seahawks or dolphins vs ravens  for d/st

mike evans, josh gordon or trent richardson for flex

ryan fitzpatrick, flacco or tannehill for qb

I really blew my lineup last week and left deandre hopkins, eagles d/st, kendall wright and flacoo on the bench. In my league, they collectively had over 100 points, while the players I had in my lineup (dolphins, tannehill, evans and josh gordon) only got about 50. I lost by 6 points and missed out on a first round playoff bye and the second seed.

^ you have leveon bell and Antonio brown on the bench?
yea what he said, those are two automatic starts each week!

Ok had a first round bye and thank goodness, posted my lowest score! 85 points

Not sure what to do with Julius Thomas as he dressed but didn't play, not sure if I can risk that again next week...

My other choices are Owen Daniels and Sims from Miami. As for running back I am somewhat screwed as Ingram has sucked for two weeks, but Crowell has done enough during that time. I have nothing on the bench and only waiver options are Reece and Juwan thompson who has gotten 8 and 9 points the last two weeks as the Broncos number 2. Do I risk Ingram finally showing up again, or go after one of those two?

Noooooooooo, not on my bench. I was saying that the 3 crap performances that I got from Gordon, Hopkins, and Ingram squandered what I got from Bell and Brown. Well, as it turns out, a bunch of the guys on my opponent's team shit the bed, too, so I'm still in it. I'm up 16 points. He has Cobb. I have Crosby. So, if Crosby gets me a few extra points and a FG, I just need Cobb to not go off too bad. Hopefully, Nelson has 20 catches for 350 yards...

I am up by 2 with Nelson, but my opponent has Rodgers. Combo of benching Ty Hilton for Josh Gordon and my opponent having Bell really hurt. Thankfully our matchup goes 2 weeks so maybe next week I can rebound...

So I made the semi-finals of all four of my money leagues. Leaving Cleveland D on the bench for select streaming D's somehow didn't bite me in the ass.

Overcame all of the eggs my guys laid and slipped into the semi-finals. Have to choose a flex (full point PPR):

DeAndre Hopkins

Mike Wallace

Ryan Mathews

Roddy White

I've also got Gio Bernard on my bench, but at this point, I don't consider him a viable option.

Ok need help, here is the matchup for the semis...

Me                                                                               Them

Peyton Manning                                                           Ben Roethlisberger

M. Ingram                                                                    Jamal Charles

I. Crowell                                                                      Lamar Miller

Emmanuel Sanders                                                     Antonio Brown

Mike Evans                                                                  Jordan Matthews

Julius Thomas                                                             Jared Cook

A. Boldin                                                                      J. Landry

J. Edelman                                                                  M. Bryant

Broncos D                                                                   Lions D

J. Tucker                                                                    M. Prater

bench

Owen Daniels                                                             J. Brown

E. Royal                                                                      Derek Anderson

C. Barth                                                                      D. Stanton

Marquis Lee                                                               Kendall wright

Juwan Thompson                                                      Geo Bernard

T. Gabriel                                                                   L. Toilolo

Now my biggest concern is Julius Thomas' Injury, he suited up last week but didn't play, which makes me believe he will actually play this year through progression, but i can't handle a 0 out of him when Daniels averages 7-10 points.  But if Julius plays he is a redzone killer and can get between 15-20.

My other issue is with Ingram, not sure if I love the matchup or not.  What should my RB situation be?  With the broncos turning to the run and C.J. Anderson being somewhat hurt Juwan could at least get 10 points.

Other then that my only other concern is Boldin, he is either hot or not and they are playing @ Seattle, so Royal or Lee might be better?
