I don't think people are really buying PS4 stuff for their younger kids yet. All the other sales numbers are grossly inflated because they're being purchased as gifts or as people grabbing stuff for themselves over the xmas period. LBP3 just doesn't really figure into either category that well, plus it didn't even have (I don't think) any substantial sales to help boost it. I'm not surprised it didn't stack up well against the sales numbers of a lot of the other, more adult-oriented games that were available.

If it had been on a Nintendo system its sales would have been crazy, though.

I'm not dead. Looks like I missed a good amount of news...seems like the only bad news is Tomb Raider as an xbox exclusive. I think Sony's already pretty much won anyway. Happy Friday!

I bought my daughter Disney Infinity for PS3 so she doesnt "mess up" my PS4 with her grubby little hands.

Yeah, we've already got one PS4 vs child horror story, don't we?

That's the interesting thing about the more expensive/upper-tier electronics; we never want people to mess with them. It has a "keep your goddamn hands off!" effect that discourages buying games for other people to use with it. :whistle2:

I dont know about horror stories, but I made an executive decision to get her the PS3 version since the PS4 version isnt really any different, even graphically from what I can tell and now she can play that and I will still have the PS4 available for me. I shouldnt be playing PS3 much from here on out anyway.

DigitalRiver, aren't they? Haven't checked in a while, but was hearing lots of bad things a while back.
No, Square is using a different shipping company now: Pepita.

They apparently might be even worse than DigitalRiver, judging from how many people's KH 2.5 CEs arrived damaged and Pepita hasn't presented a real solution yet other than saying the situation will be "escalated".

I order all the Square CEs and I never have issues. A lot of people apparently got their KH2.5 CEs damaged in transit, but I don't know how many are slightly bent corners and how many are actual damage. Usually they package pretty well, but that one they didn't.

So did your KH 2.5 CE arrive "damaged" or damaged?

u can keep ur trophy card just the way it is u nub. but no one knows im here, oh well
Yeah, I always forget about this.

I would argue that repetition breeds contempt for trophy cards, though. The LoS2 card is pretty damn cool but it's already lost its luster for me.

Even though Microsoft is helping publish it, the deal is still timed. It won't be Xbox exclusive forever.

Hey, parm, if you wanted, you could keep your trophy card the way it is. There's a setting on PSNP to have whatever game you want as the background, not just one you've played recently.

fuck UPS/USPS and Amazon Prime.  My order is still bouncing around.  It was ordered/shipped on the 9th.  95 miles away.  Went probably 100 miles past me in the opposite direction to where the weather might have been slightly worse then here (maybe they got 4 whole inches of snow).  It was handed off to the crappy post office in my town yesterday afternoon.  Still not sure if it will be delivered today or maybe tomorrow or Monday though.

Serious nonsense blaming it on the weather.  The weather wasn't that bad.

Its P H A R M. Pharm. I do love cheese, but parm aint my name.

I also knew about the setting as Chewy set his to that god awful red nose reindeer looking fool of a card for Spelunky. I dont like to set it. I prefer to show what I am playing.

If I wasnt still out of likes I might actually be able to like some fuck ing posts.  Damn this sucks.  How does Tyler deal with this all the time?

UPS mail innovations is the worst. Even if my package arrives on time, I still get on amazon and complain that they sent it UPS mail innovations.

fuck the usps, they suck a bag of dicks.

ok fine final fantasy type 0 looks pretty solid. Been watching some videos this morning and it seems like something I'd enjoy. So I guess I should buy it when it comes out? It'd be nice if the ffxv demo was a code so I could sell it for big ass dollars but since they stated it won't ever be released outside of the first print of fft0 it's probably not on psn.

Hey that buddy system trophy is now my rarest trophy on PSN profiles. Looks like some of them are getting more rare. (becoming more rare? idk.)

Yo PS Move veterans,

Since I found a cheapass ps3 eye camera for those Burnout trophies, figure I might try to get into this whole move thing, if nothing else so my son can get his archery on.  My question for y'all, how essential is that navigation controller thing?  Gamestop has used wands for $20 and navigation units for $10.  Gonna do some trades to bring it down some, but if I don't need the navigation thing, I'll leave it be.

It really depends on the game. There are very few that seem to use the Nav controller. I have both, but I only bothered to buy a second move controller. Most of the games that I can remember that used the Nav were awful: The Heavy Fire games and MIB3 specifically. The Nav was used for the cover mechanic.

I think that Sorcery used it and it was a decent game, IMO.

OK cool thanks. I'll probably hold off on it. I think I read that you can use a DS3 for that part anyway. Might be awkward, but its cheaper. Probably only use Move for Sports Champs, and maybe dance games for the kid. And those RE light gun games we got from Plus that I totally forgot we got from Plus before I did my spreadsheet.

I was going to offer to send you the Wonderbook if you wanted to give it a try with the boy, but it appears based on the listing Gamestop finally realized they had to sell it with the game. At $5 used with the game it would be more of a waste of money to ship it.

GameStop is the best.

The Sports Champions games are on the PS Store for $5 each.

Here are the various prices at GS:

  • SC1 physical new:  $9.99
  • SC2 physical new:  $19.97
  •
  • SC1 physical used: $0.99
  • SC2 physical used: $14.99
  •
  • SC1 digital code:    $29.99 (!)
  • SC2 Digital code:    $39.99(!)

Oh yeah forgot about that Harry Potter one. My son would probably enjoy that. May grab it for that cheap at the store. I see them on clearance all the time at Target too.

And since I just looked it up the HP one on GameStop, I thought I'd share this amazing amazing review for it:

Hey parents! Do you want to get your kids into the occult, then this is definitely the game for it!
Once your children have outgrown this game, they will thirst for the real stuff !
Ghost and demons gain more power to manipulate the physical realm in a space where magic and divination takes place.
Fake spells or real the intent is just the same.
If you are into this stuff, this might be cool. But saying that this is just a mere child's game is like saying that the Ouija board by P.B. is the same.
Just a thought. Have fun

Yo CrazyDiamond,

How bad was doing the other 3 character playthoughs in Killzone?  Did you do them on easy?  Wondering how long it'd take me to knock those all out finally.
