I would play another Final Fantasy like 12. I really liked setting up gambits and just being able to run into enemies and let the gambits take care of most of the fights. I see FF 0 is more of an action game, but since its old and I have a ton of other games I will never get to I wont bother with it.
Since Square has been doing so many PC releases, I'm expecting them to put it on PC/PS4/XB1. I'd be surprised at a PS3 HD release at this point, but the easy porting between PC/PS4/XB1 makes it pretty likely it'll land on those three.

I also liked that there was no dumb ass "love story". I liked the global war theme or whatever it was that centered around the story in 12.

There's no such limit on Walmart.com, and Backlog's trading them in to Amazon (whose trade-in policy is 2 copies per game in a 6-month period) using both his and his wife's accounts.
Ah sorry I missed that you were trading it at Walmart and Amazon and not BestBuy.

We already knew that the Google was bundling in $20 in Google Play credit with the Chromecast for the holidays, but Best Buy is currently adding in an additional $20 in credit on top of that. This means that you're literally paying $30 to get $40 on Google Play, and a Chromecast thrown in for good measure.

Best Buy's $20 credit will be emailed to you after purchase. To claim the other $20, register your device with Google by December 21, and claim the special offer. [Google Chromecast + $40 in Google Play Credit, $30]

Question: my wife and I have adopted a family for the christmas, single parent with 3 kids. One of the kids is an 8 year old boy that asks for action figures, but does not specify which ones. What would you guys suggest?

Guys, don't forget to download The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief (only episode one though, not the full season) on Xbox 360 today. It's the last day that game is free with GwG, and you guys don't want to miss a gem like that!
I knew I should have grabbed the last XBox360 at Sears last night for $199.

FFXII was set in the same world as FFT, which also had no real love story. It may just be that they decided not to do it in that universe. Anybody know if Revenant Wings for DS had romance? Vagrant Story was in Ivalice as well.

8? Probably wrestling, or maybe TMNT. Those are what I was into when I was 8. Of course, that was 1990, so yeah. But they're both still popular.

And good for you for being charitable, especially at Christmastime.

Anything Thundercats or Silverhawks would be magical.

Oh wait, wrong era.

Anything Marvel/DC is probably a safe bet. Minecraft would probably be safe. Maybe one of those fancier, bigger Transformers?

Yesterday I went to a Sears that I had forgotten existed that I happened to be nearby to due to an errand. Apparently everybody else forgot it was there too, because it was gone. :(
I asked my boss if there was one in the mall near where she lived. She said there was but she wasn't sure it was still there. We had to look it up. Still there for now anyway.

Ninja turtles are pretty popular as far as action figures these days.

Even though I posted it and it's a great deal I'm kind of at a loss as to what I'd use it for having just gotten the Amazon stick.
I've got a Chromecast. Other than casting YT videos for it, it doesn't get used. Not having its own client for Netflix/Hulu and the like or a way to control it without a PC really reduces the value of the thing. It doesn't work well for casting HD movies too, either; lots of lag. It's basically streaming a full 720p/1080p video to the computer and to the Chromecast at the same time because it mirrors the video instead of just passing it to the Chromecast like it does with YT. That might be okay if the computer is hooked up via ethernet cable, but all the computers in my house run off wifi.

Well shit now I'm interested. Though it does most of the stuff our various TiVo boxes already do. Except for the Google Play stuff and HBO GO (though we don't have an HBO sub). Hmmmmm.

I hate video only articles. Is there an actual list in a nice easy to read format?
Its a pretty solid list. Personally more than a little annoyed that once again IGN only put the list out in long ass video format instead of having an article to go with it or something, but not too surprised.

Shovel Knight

Hearthstone

DA: I

Shadow of Mordor

WiiU Smash Bros

Transistor

Stick of Truth

Sunset Overdrive

Bayonetta 2

Kinda surprised sunset overdrive made it over far cry? But I haven't played either just going off of word of mouth there.

They read off the list at the very beginning, and somebody in here wrote it down after my initial post. I don't like the video-only approach, either. Falls under the "stupid as shit" category just like the popular "every item in a list gets its own page" approach all the sites are doing now to maximize hits and ad exposure.

No not racist.

I get different feedback so I never really know how I sound.

Some old crogigdy (I can't for the life of me figure out how to spell that sorry) people ask me if English was my second language. -_-;;; I KNOW I have no fuck ing accent.

Most others say I sound like a typical SoCal chick. Or I sound super young.

I personally think my voice isn't high pitched and sometimes sounds annoyed.

(And I had one lady and two guys tell me I sounded like a phone sex operator  bwahahahahaha)
crotchety ?

Did any one actually get the Google Play credit? I checked my offers on my new Chromecast last night and it wasn't listed. There is a complaint form apparently for this so I am going to fill that out tonight.

It sounds like in some ways the Amazon stick is better. I mainly bought that so I wouldn't have to turn on a console just to watch amazon vids or HBO Go. HBO is coming to the stick in the spring so I'm happy about that. I usually just fling youtube or other vids to my openelec htpc from my phone. I've heard the Amazon stick will also allow you to sign into hotel networks which the Chromecast can't do. I didn't even think too much about the remote but the chromecast doesn't have a smartphone app?

As it is though all these devices are cross-pollinating at this point. I'm going to pass despite the free credit. Guessing chromecast 2.0 will be better as well.

I'm not going to like that, Vig.

I cashed in the free Lord o' the Rings movie, but it doesn't say anything about Vudu for playing it. Just in the browser or on tablets and phones? Lame.

totally missed pier solar! all my digital wants are on sale and now mine. almost bought pier solar a couple weeks ago at full price, but i figured it'd have a sale soon.
I figure it'll be on PS+ at some point, but if you buy it, that will likely happen sooner rather than later.

Not sure if it has a Chromecast app that consolidates everything. I think you just have to open the individual apps you use (Netflix, Hulu, etc..) and use the "Cast To" option within that.

Oddly enough if you have your phone set up to access a NAS or whatever and you have a media player with casting abilities you can cast movies/TV shows to your Chromecast that way and it works fine. The phone app just casts the video instead of mirroring it; I'm not sure why casting from PC can't do the same.

Avia for Android works. It crashed pretty often when I tried it a few months back, though.

I think I'll wait for $5 on Child of Light. Pier Solar is intriguing as well, but again I'll wait for a cheaper price.
Yeah I'm looking at CoL and Counterspy but don't want to get burned\slapped\pissed on. I also have a decent Vita backlog at the moment. Biggest in a while.
