My high score is higher than what's shown for me here. I was thinking the list was broken, but maybe they don't count daily challenge runs for the overall leaderboards? That's kind of dumb if so. You're making me want to get back to Spelunky, though.

I seriously need to do this. Today was just a random dick wad, but there is another guy usually in the same spot everyday. He gets here early and takes the best end spot since he works early. But the dick wad never parks straight and always has a wheel touching the line on the side with the other cars! I only saw him coming out of his car once before. I looked at him, looked at his car and the wheel and looked back at him and just stared. He didnt get it I guess since he still cant park straight. I want to punch him in the face so much.

This idiot drives a small car too and still cant park!

You guys are pushing me away from getting back into Spelunky.

Cool, LEGO Hobbit games scheduled to arrive at my Wal Mart on the 19th. Should be available for me to pickup on the 20th at the latest.
You should get a LOT of gaming hours out of that one if you are going to go for the plat with your kid. At least it seemed to me like it took longer than any other Lego game.

It's actually 4 XB360 copies that I bought to trade to Amazon for almost double what I paid. He's got LEGO Marvel and Swap Force to unwrap in a few days, so I'm hoping they keep him busy for a while since I passed on the LEGO movie game for $15 at Amazon.

Marvel will keep him busy much much longer than the Movie game would have. That is one of the longest ones versus the shortest one by far.

By the way, how is Crimes and Punishments? I'm considering giving it a Gamestop "rental" eventually.
Yeah, did it ever improve? Seems like you were kinda down on it the other night.

That's kinda what I'm afraid of, since he insists that I play with him every time. Maybe swapping back and forth between it and Swap Force will help me not to get sick of it. Playing with him and seeing him having such a fun time always helps with that though.

It fucking sucks. Seriously, do not do it to yourself. I played the last one and I kind of liked it even though it glitched one trophy on me and I had to play it all again. It was more a puzzle game and I dug it. This one I have really not enjoyed. It seems more like NA Noire which was not a favorite of mine.

Also, now due to a dipshit trophy guide writer, I get to go back and redo one of the longer cases. He put at the top of the guide to follow a walk through, so I think that is all I have to do. Well, that walk through has a part where it says you can pick a certain thing and it is up to you. Well, it really isnt. You have to pick both options to create endings with each option or you miss one of the trophies. The asshole put that later down in the info for that particular trophy. I should never have to read the entire guide if the guide starts out by saying just use this walk through. :headache:

Yikes. I'll just give The Testament of Sherlock Holmes a try, then.

Does this mean I may like it if I liked LA Noire?

My son insisted I play Lego Marvel with him as well, but I never really got sick of it as the mission and character variety is really good. Especially once you get into free playing the levels. And so many different things in the HUB city. I thought I'd get sick of it some too, but I never really did. It was a long plat, but a fun one.

The amount of times I see you mention renting from Gamestop, have we discussed how you are not banned from their stores yet?
I mention Gamestop-renting a lot, but I won't actually do it unless I seriously plan on playing the game--this is less of a concern now, while the holiday return policy is active. I also haven't done the rentals often or close together enough to warrant being banned.

Case in point: The last GS-rental I did was Shadow Warrior, which I bought in mid-October to hopefully play (and possibly plat) before mid-January. Last week, I decided to just return it after scoring a copy from Amazon for ~$15.

Depends really. I found parts of LA Noire fun. The open world part was ok. It was the minutia of the cases that pissed me off. Just like it, with this one, you practically have to use a guide to meet all the requirements for the trophies. I think that is the main thing that turned me off. Let me be a detective and solve the case with the pattern I see for solving it. Dont make me have to get every possible pattern known to man that includes even the most minute detail that really should have no bearing on the outcome.

I was just expecting something different from this one after playing the last one. I think that is why I am going full Therm mode on this one.

I did not like the cases in LA Noire either.  I resorted to using a guide for all of them as I couldnt figure shit out.  And the open world was nice but it was boring.  Not nearly as "dense" as GTA.  Overall LA Noire was fairly boring.  But it must not have been horrible as I did plat it.

I've thought about returning to L.A. Noire to go for the plat, but the amount of time it would take combined with the fact that I hate the protagonist (Cole) changed my mind.

Since y'all love/hate my Cartwheel deals so much, today only you can get 40% all boots. Winter boots. Stomping in the snow kid boots. Manly man working boots. Sexy lady lady boots. Dora the Explorer monkey pal Boots.*

I guess it's safe to assume that this will not stack with the JOY30 promo code? Because if it did... hot damn! Daddy be getting some new boots!

I liked it but got pissed at the ending..I have it in the backlog with the intentions of getting the plat

Yeah, the ending (not the final mission itself, which was great IIRC) ticked me off to the point where I just don't feel like playing the game again. :???:

Score, I got the last used copy of Nier at gamestop during the 30% off promo a couple of weeks ago. The disc was in quite good condition, but it came in one of those shitty, generic cases with the blue paper with the name hand written on it. So I was keeping my eye on the in-store stock locator to see if another copy came in during the exchange window. It did and I was able to swap out my crappy case for one with the original case, art, and instruction manual. If I had gotten it for dirt cheap like bionic commando I wouldn't care, but paying $20 before coupon for a disc only game is hard for me to abide.

Got mine when Newegg used to have games for $15.99 all the time. They actually had it for $9.99 at one point. I was happy to get it for $15.99 though, well worth it. Especially for a new copy.

Yep, they had that in Crysis, so fuck ing annoying.
"They had that in Crysis". Lol hasn't it pretty much become standard for FPS? I can't think of a game that doesn't map it this way. Seems more intuitive than holding an additional button. You guys are weird. Only thing I hate about it is the added wear it puts on the left stick.

https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-us/games/risk-factions/cid=UP0006-NPUB30391_00-PS3ST_RISKFACTIO

stuff like that scares me, like skull girls or simpons/xmen, soon after burner climax, when digital stuff you own just disappears. I have it set to download to my ps3 cuz I found it in my download list, but yeah you can't add it or anything.
I can understand that once you lose the license you can no longer develop NEW games to sell, but I have always found it silly that the game company doesn't force language in the agreement that lets them to continue to sell old, already developed properties for several more years after their licensing agreement expire as long as they continue to give them their cut of sales under the old agreement.

There's zero reason I should have to trawl on ebay to find a used copy of SM: Shattered Dimensions, and Marvel doesn't see a dime, when I could have bought if off PSN and both Marvel and Activision would have benefited.

I agree, I like it. It's also become so common that it actually feels weird to me when it doesn't work that way.

I agree that most first person shooters have you click L3 to run, but I still dont like it as I have a hard time doing it right at least 25% of the time.  Its enough to be annoying.  I died once last night playing Wolfenstein because I didnt click it right or something and a big ass
mechanical dog
ate me.

1.)it's awkward and tedious to hold L3 down for long spurts

2.)It's harder to manipulate the stick to control the direction while holding it down.

Some shooter games map sprint to a different button like one of the shoulder buttons, in melee games it is often a face button, or they make L3 a toggle for sprint (that I don't mind).

Really? I would find holding Eye Socket Gap or Tesseract or even L2 more intuitive than pushing a stick down while also pushing it forward and to the side. Especially when the push down click doesn't register/hold really well. I know its the standard in FPSs, but that doesn't make it right.

Even though I clicked the spoiler, I'm still going to read and understand this as "a big ass ate me."

so warframe has free trophies and is free to play?

also http://www.truetrophies.com/Risk-Factions/trophies.htm risk seems pretty un 100% able because needs psn ranked game wins... unless I could boost some of those with my girl, but no way to get the 5 player trophy probly.

yeah sherlock holmes, the first one i platted, but I put the 2nd one in my ps3, looked at the stack of fun ps4 games I could play, and took it right back out and started playing some far cry 4. That will probly be 0% forever now. It is so hard to play unfun games when you have top 10 games in your backlog.

peace all

This seems like a non-issue to me. Are you really ever holding sprint for more than a few seconds at a time?
The reason I posted the complaint in the first place is because almost all of the first level of CoD: Ghosts has you sprinting and it just reminded me of how weird it is to do it and keep good control of your character. A few other spots in the game (only 6 chapters in) need you to sprint to avoid the fiery bullet death. So more than what I remember as normal in other FPSs I've played (this is my first PS3 CoD). Since it's hard to get that L3 hit to register even when not pushing forward, I felt the need to speak up.

I was referring more to the fact that Owl said it's awkward and tedious to hold it down for long spurts. I don't think I've ever had to use it for a "long spurt", unless we have greatly differing definitions of what a spurt is. According to what we've all been informed of this week though, that could definitely be the case.

I do, but sometimes when trying to push down and forward at the same time you veer off to the right or left (more so than when just pushing forward), and then feel the need to correct yourself, then find yourself weaving back and forth like pharm following the boss's wife around at the company xmas party.
