I ask because there is a large section of vita games at my target, might run by and at least price scan them to see if they are discounted any.

Pretty sure that MvC3 for vita is/was there.

It is definitely YMMV in terms of what stock is there as you mention. It does seem that games that are on clearance would be on clearance at all stores with stock for them. However, the amount of markdown at a given store seems to be YMMV as well. It is pretty odd. I have seen games on clearance that were 10% off here that other people got in other parts of the country for 90% off.

I really enjoyed it at first but started losing interest due to the whole thing with his dead wife. They didn't handle that well at all and leaving it hanging for so long made it more annoying than interesting. I'd planned to finish up the show (I watched about through half of 5 as it aired) but then I heard details for the show ending that just totally turned me off to it. Too bad, as it started out well. I really liked the supporting cast, too.

Did you watch Psych? In the series finale there was a reference to Monk that you might have missed. The Psych crew moves to San Francisco at the end, and they barge in on a murder the captain is running and try to get her to hire them as consultants again. She says she already has a consultant and he's counting cereal boxes in the kitchen.

I'm not agreeing that it is the worst game of the year, or that you should be able to make that call from just playing the beta, I'm just pointing out that there isn't much more to Destiny than what was on offer during the beta. Just some additional environments/maps. I've enjoyed the game and will play some Crucible now and again because the shooting is super solid, but it in no way grabs me the way it does you guys. Mainly because Bungie completely phoned it in when building an interesting world. There was like 0 attempt at a good story. I'd rank it as one of my bigger disappointments of 2014, but I didn't hate it or anything.

You dont say. I totally understand that, but he didnt play the game. He played the demo. I'm not picking a fight here, I like owl and love reading his reviews and opinions. But at least play the game first to call it worst of the year.

 
Also the end game content is what makes the game fun and is where it excels. I like the teamwork and communication required for raids. That's the best thing about the game.

Shut your filthy mouth. By his own admission he's only played the beta. "Most Disappointing" is a separate category. Child of Eden was his. Oddly enough, CHILD of Light was mine. Coincidence? Anyhow I'd hardly call them the worst games for any year.

I thought I read in this thread (pancakes?) or another that it's nationwide that they are marking down non-clearance games that are being discontinued or something. There was a big bin against the back wall in electronics labeled as a temporary price cut 50% off.

I'd call that right on par with my experience. The bulk of the game comes after beating the "story", though. The raids/nightfalls are so much fun. The guns are hard to obtain and feel so sweet when you finally get them. They've actually turned Iron Banner into something somewhat decent. None of that was in the beta.

Starting tomorrow the 28th, the majority of discontinued games will be 50% off. They will start at $4.99-$14.99. I'm not sure if this store wide but it will be all week. Some games that I saw that look good are Theatrhythm 3DS $9.99, Rayman Legends Vita $9.99, and Scribblenauts Unlimited Wii U $7.49. The store I work for has at least 50 games that meet this sale and will be in a bin in front of electronics. Just a heads up for anyone trying to get some older classics.

Read the PM dude. Derek isnt getting on until 830. I'm ready to go at 7 though. I think I might be bringing matt through the first two parts of the raid with his lower level characters if you want to join that. I did it for skruf and Munky yesterday. Pretty much they die while I do what needs to be done to finish it off.

They arent lower level lol, all my dudes are 31's. I just never can find a solid group and dont know the ins/outs of how you do it solo.

Finished Child of Light, by the way. Pretty solid game IMO. Yes, the dialogue and story and characters are all fairly simple, but that's on purpose. The game follows the style of a children's story book. Everything is very pretty and sounds good and the characters are all very flat but very flamboyant and distinct because of it. I think they did a good job of hitting what they aimed for. It had a nice storybook ending, too. I was pretty happy with the game.

Found out from my future new employer that my old job (not my current job) is refusing to answer phone calls and faxes. That last time they called was Friday and they were hung up on twice. I just had to send over my w-2s to verify my employment.

I'm down for the late night one as well. I'm level 31 now so I shouldn't be dying as quickly anymore. Although I don't have a Gjallarhorn with wolfpack rounds anymore either.

OK, I think I figured out what I was doing wrong on geometry wars #29. Maybe stotch and pancakes already knew this.

The gates spawn with the mobs, so if you just run willy nilly through gates you'll start to run out fairly early on. So the goal is to conserve gates for when you either:
- need to defend yourself from greens/pink diamonds/little orange
- have a big group herded up
- have two gates close together where you might run into the edge of one if you're in a hurry

Yellow gates are freebies since they vanish, just use them whenever you feel like it.

I have a video uploading now where I was experimenting with it if anyone wants to watch. You'll notice that I get to a point where I'm waiting for enemies. I still blow it though.

I still can't believe the stupid NFC... Seattle was almost out of the playoffs and then they get home field. Good news is the superbowl is in Arizona and those Corporate type that take most of the tickets won't be selling them to seattle fans and giving them home field at the superbowl.

Will be a much different (albeit normal) Superbowl crowd this year.
