Did you ever say why you got the PS3 version instead of the PS4 version? Was it just because you didn't want the rug rat using the PS4?
Yeah, more to do with her playing on PS3 so I could still play PS4 remotely. Looking at videos there really is not a big difference in visual fidelity and the base gameplay is obviously the same. And that is complete garbage. Even for a kids game.

I hate Disney Infinity so much. I would have to slit my wrists if I stayed up with it all night.
With playing it more now, I can say the graphics and performance are definitely a step down from 1.0 (on PS3 at least). Lines aren't crisp, textures are blurry, sound cuts out, and random pauses happen. And this is in the play sets where everything is preset, unlike the toy boxes where you can add 422316 moving things to cause it to crap out yourself.

Also, I can't help but compare the gameplay to Lego Marvel, which was much funner. It's hard to go back to the static split-screen in co-op after playing the much better dynamic one in Lego Marvel. And most of the early Avengers missions seem to be very "do the same thing again" like. My son definitely likes unleashing a barrage of missiles on the bad guys though.

Liked for the use of the word "funner".

And yeah Zimm, I am glad (but not really) that you finally noticed the glitches and loss of sound etc in 2.0.  It is awful.  There is a part in Stitch's play set where a character comes on to talk and his mouth moves for 5 seconds with no sound then all of a sudden you hear him speaking mid sentence.  and this happens every time you play that part so its a bug in the code they didnt bother to fix.

And I realize they are probably different teams, but Avalanche worked on this game.  They better not let shit like this fly in Just Cause 3!

EDIT:  Nevermind I guess this is Avalanche SOFTWARE which is a different dev from Avalanche STUDIOS.  Apparently this team is in the US and the JC studio is in Sweden.   SO once again the US guys are lazy assholes that make a shitty product.

When I was watching Topside and his kid play PS4 Infinity 2.0 it looked about the same as 1.0 did on PS3 to me.  I kind of expected that though with the art style of the game.  It is not really going to look any better with a higher res just due to how the graphics were done in the first place.  It is sad to hear they screwed up the PS3 version though.  I did not see any freezing issues or anything like that when he was playing either.  I am glad I went with the PS4 version after hearing what you guys think of the PS3 one.

You still wanting to get burning skies? There is another copy at my target, can get for little over 5 and mail to you if you want to pay for game and shipping.

I appreciate the offer, but with it probably costing $3 to mail I think I will roll the dice at wait it out. I am not dying to play it since I am not a big FPS fan anyway.

I am having a hard enough time keeping up with my Plus backlog and the handful of physical and digital games I have already. GTA 5 is not helping that situation, and I have a friends copy of AC 4 that is going to put me even deeper in the hole. Thanks though!

No problem.

Blanket offer as well to any other regular in here that cant find it at target or bestbuy and wants it for roughly 8 bucks.

Why do I have 37 notifications on here about people replying to the psnot award nominations this morning! I knEw I didn't say anything funny enough for that many people to like it.

Edit: wait, thats the current name of this thread...why do I now have notifications every time someone replies!?!

Cause you finally joined the (not really) cool kid club.

Wren, you asked how you could help with the online stuff on GTA.  Main thing is to start up GTA online, make a character, get through the tutorial missions until you get to the point where you get your own car that has a tracker (that doesn't take all that long really and you will get one trophy pretty early in the process).

After that point, we could do races and missions together in co-op.  I played a lot with a friend last night and it is setup so that you can play most of the missions with up to 8 people, so even if I am playing it with him you can join us.  It was pretty fun since we did mainly co-op missions the entire time.

Really slow in here today, most of the day crew off work today or something?
It has been relatively slow in here all week with the holidays and people on vacation. Zimm, wren, and I are 3 of the main chatty ones during work days and we are still trying to keep the thread going. Thing is nobody else was interested in our DI 2.0 talk except Topside maybe :)

Alright, and how long does it take to get what you need from this? I can help when you dont have anyone else but I dont really need to be there otherwise right? Because I wont put 100 hours into it anyway and wont bother looking for or doing all the collectables most likely. Unless of course the online time is drastically reduced.

Can I get in on this. All my Targets that I went to seem to be out of resistance.
Kilik, if you get this for him pass along the DCPI number. I'll do a search nearby with that inventory checker. I know none of my close by ones had a copy, bot worth a check to see if a couple slightly further ones had it.

For the races and stuff, if me and you just did that, I wouldnt think all that long. It is just a matter of starting and finishing each type. If you dont want to play the online co-op missions for fun, I would think it would be a few hours max.

These are the 2 trophies that are easily boosted (one needs a couple 4 player things but most is 2 player). You get part of the second one by doing the first one.

Alright cool. I am down for trying to get a few of those trophies. I doubt I would play to get up to rank 100 but if these help you to get more points towards your 100 rank thats cool.

Yeah, it would help, and we can get you those 2 pretty easily as well. If you do at least one mission with us after joining the Vice City Mambas crew, you will get another trophy too. Anyone can join that crew, it just happened to be the one my friend was in, so I used it.

I think a cool feature in geometry wars would have been to show the dev high scores on every level. Even if they don't have trophies assigned to beating them all. Just so when I put up crazy numbers I can brag about how I'm better than the people who made the game.
Do they have online co-op? If you have trouble with a level, I can fuck that shit up while you fly around in circles. Then you can post a video of it to show how awesome you are. Maybe send it to the dev and everyone he knows to bring shame to his family.

The link on the blog page goes to Page not found for me.

Those white Sony Golds are still showing 1 in stock in a Target I might be near on Saturday.  Rather have them in black but might pick them up anyway if the price is still good and there actually is a pair there.

you still don't own a house, you are prime target for griefers on gta v online with just a car

I voted NO to a new year's resolution but I think I've changed my mind. I'm going to sell as much shit as I can this year. All the stuff I don't need...sealed PSP Go's, sealed DS Lite, usb hard drives etc. etc. and put as much extra $$$ as I can towards the mortgage. I already send extra every month but I want to hammer it even harder this year.

That is why I play in friend only or invite only modes predominantly. fuck random asshole people.

Since I get dumped into free play a lot in between missions with my friend, I am sure to go straight to ATMs and deposit all my cash. What can they do if I am not carrying around money other than just kill me over and over though?

The house prices I checked were like 200k+, so I did not have enough to buy one yet anyway.
