I finished Metal Gear V Ground Zeroes last night (main story mission). I'm finally up to date on a series!!!! WOOHOO!!! Go ME! I think I'll play some of the side missions once the 5 launch gets closer and just move on to something else for now. I'm thinking Uncharted 3 in 3D :)

That is why I play in friend only or invite only modes predominantly. fuck random asshole people.

Since I get dumped into free play a lot in between missions with my friend, I am sure to go straight to ATMs and deposit all my cash. What can they do if I am not carrying around money other than just kill me over and over though?

The house prices I checked were like 200k+, so I did not have enough to buy one yet anyway.
cheapest house is this one for $80,000, http://gta.wikia.com/0112_South_Rockford_Drive

unless you plan to do heist as an leader, that cheap house is sufficient, and is near a good area. high end apartments near eclipse, and tinsel tower are war zones filled with griefers, and trolls. when i was still playing gta v online on ps3, i was literally getting gun down just walking out of my apartment in those areas. i had to run back into apartment like a coward. players were doing drive bys, and camping out with tanks, and attack helicopters

Cool, thanks for the tip. I definitely have enough to buy that. As far as the other questions though, what does having a house change in terms of griefers?
unless you plan to play in private games for the rest of your life. if you joined any public lobby. you will sometimes get spawned into the worst location, when joining public games. with a safe house. you will be spawn right into your cheap apartments. avoid getting into cross fires, and people blowing up your personal vechiles with sticky bombs. also trolls always put bounty on your head for fun, there is also glitches allowing them to put infinite amount for bounty on your head. especially in public game, everyone will be gunning to kill you.

Welp I am glad I dont play MP games. That sounds fuck ing stupid.
the main reaosn lies within Rock$tar, they promised heist within a month of release date, they keep postponing it. which cause online players with nothing better to do. so people make use of their free time on gta v online. if you see some of the sadistic thing people on gta v online do, it is scary. one time, i saw some guy from the safety of my apartment on the cctv, going around beating npc in gta v online, especially attacking female npcs, kicking them repeately until they are dead, and then running their dead corpse over with a car

also regarding the first vechile you get in gta v, the selection of cars you can get as your personal vechicle is very limited, no supercars allow. just go to Legendarymotorsport.net witihin gta v online, get the free elegy car.

http://gta.wikia.com/Elegy_RH8
Wish I knew this before. I ended up with the Challenger type car which is the same as you get with Franklin in the main game. It is not very fast, but at least I am kind of used to driving it. It would be better with Franklin's special ability :)

So if you cant go outside your apartment or whatever in GTA online why the fuck would you want to play that shit?
you join missions from the safety of your apartments. and turn on passive mode from the safety of your apartment. so people cannot harm you. everytime you join a new game, your passive mode resets. imagine accidently winding up in a public game, with your persona vechicle. some guy started shooting at your car as soon as you join the game, and killed you before you can activate passive mode

sell that car, and get the elergy . trust me. without any customization, the elergy is on par with the supercars, maybe a slight step down.

So if I just start online and I dont have money to buy a house how do I keep from getting killed seconds from spawning in every time?

Trophies, DUH!! In all seriousness, I was surprised how fun it was to play the missions with friends, and since you can do it in private worlds it is not so bad.

I agree with a lot of this except your reasoning why. Even if Rockstar has not had the heists (which sucks because that would be way more fun than the regular missions), it does not make people do things that sociopaths would do. Granted, just because they are doing that in a video game doesn't exactly mean they would like to do it in real life, but still...

well, that same guy in my story, came after me in his car as soon. as i walked out my apartment. luckily i was only a few step outside of my apartment, i was able to run in, and later exit with my car and flee the scene with my elergy

join private self made games, and you don't always get targeted on gta v online. but there is a very good chance you will, if you join public lobby games.

I will have to look into this. I would have to buy insurance and a tracker and all for it too now though right? That would kind of suck, but since there is a lot of crossing the map the faster car would be nice.

I have not had an issue with this. When you start online, do it from single player offline mode with the options button. In there, select gta online and it should give you the option for solo mode, friend only, invite only types. Any of those you will be good to go.

also  watch out for guys in god mode in public games

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8Db6ndG2kc

and invisible glitch modes in public games

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLAn22NNPmc

Yo Tyler,  you play Switch Galaxy Ultra after that first night you got it?  Seems the more I play it, the less I think of it.  And multiplayer seems dead public GTA V player.  On Vita anyway.  Haven't been able to find a game yet.

What's your mortgage rate? You might be better off keeping that cheap debt and putting the extra money elsewhere.
It's high compared to the current rates, need to re-finance as well. Maybe once that's done I can put the extra $$$ in a good mutual fund. Thanks for looking out.

you will have to, unless, you own an apartment. when you own apartment, any non-supercars you steal, and put into your garage will come with a free tracker, but no free insurance. also stealing and selling certain type of cars helps you make easy money

Making $9,500 every 48 minutes.

Running around Los Santos, waiting to get your next job or in between robbing convenient stores you will occasionally be able to sell a car in the Los Santos Customs shop. You can do this once every 24 in game hours, which converts to 48 minutes of real life time, if anybody even keeps track of that anymore. What you do is steal any car and drive it into a Customs shop. There will be an option to sell it (you can also sell your own). Obviously the less damaged, the more cash you'll get. Also, if you have a free garage slot or don't mind driving around, for example a felon or baller, you will very frequently see those types of cars making stealing and selling them that much easier. Below is a few cars I remember the prices for to give you an Idea and selling cars with mods, or anything altered on them will fetch higher prices giving you a slight return on the money invested into it.

- Felon GT: $9,500

- Gallivanteer baller: $9,000

- Lampadati felon: $9,000

- Ubermacht Oracle: $8,000

- Ocelot F620: $8,000

- Escalade (not sure of in game name) $7,000

also get snacks

) Mmmm. Buying snacks.

This one is very straight forward. If you're low on health, go to a store you can walk in to (I usually use ammunations) and there will more than likely be a vending machine. For $1 it heals you completely from half health. You must have it in cash though or you'll get an Insufficient funds message. There's no where to swipe your card on hookers or a soda machine. You can also buy snacks to carry around on you from gas stations to heal yourself in between your random acts of violence. To do this just open your inventory and scroll down and by your cigarettes you'll see your junk food to magically heal yourself with.

Note: Eating a snack while in cover or zooming in will instantly restore the health without the animation. You can also not eat snacks in vehicles, even as a passenger. Wouldn't want a dirty car now would we?

Yeah, it would help, and we can get you those 2 pretty easily as well. If you do at least one mission with us after joining the Vice City Mambas crew, you will get another trophy too. Anyone can join that crew, it just happened to be the one my friend was in, so I used it.
I'm down to join as well, I need to get the online trophies for PS4 version. Do you have to be at a certain level to do any of this or is it just a matter of completing the online intro?

sadly, there is level requirement for equiping certain weapons, unless you plan to play team deathmatch on gta v. you can get access to most weapon by getting to level 20. the only downside, is you have to farm in gta v online for cash. due to the high cost of bullets for your weapons. follow my tip above for easy cash, by stealing cars and selling them. you will have enough money to get by to buy bullets.

That should be it. You will need to be level 10 if you want to get the Bounty one, which is a different trophy. I think I can help you guys get that though since I already can put bounties on people (assuming I can figure out how since I have not done it). My friend is already above 10 so I think he could help me get it if none of you guys get that high.

Yeah, you will just start out with the pistol, however, if we all do missions you get money pretty fast. I have not had any issue with money so far. Granted, I have not bought an apartment and stuff yet either. I have been able to buy all the ammo I wanted. Hitting level 15 was nice since I can now use grenades. It saved me and my buddy last night since one of the missions was blowing up a lot of cars at a dealership. It would have been a huge waste of ammo to do that without grenades or a gas can (which you couldn't get until level 20).

also you get others perk when you get to a certain level from letser like, remove weanted star levels for cash, Off the Radar

also perks such as calling Merryweather Security to kill your enemy/ troll other people. the good thing about this perk is if your mercenary fails, you get your money back. and Helicopter Pickup , when your personal vechicle is destoryed in missions to pick you up, and deliever you to your destintation for cost of cash

here are the perks, you attain in exchange for cash. that is why rock$tar wants to sell those cash cards.

yeah i cant beleive it. They said they couldnt tell "intent". HAHAHAHAHAHA. He clearly INTENDED to step on him! I mean he stepped on him once and had to know that was a leg, then he went back AGAIN AND STEPPED ON HIM AGAIN!

I mean your on a field where there is nothing else but people. What the hell could he possibly have stepped on that wasnt another person!?

Apparently he said his feet were numb, so therefore he couldn't tell that what he was stepping on was higher than the ground that his other foot was on. It also must have caused his ass to numb, which explains why he didn't turn around when Rodgers hit him to see what was going on.

Yeah, more to do with her playing on PS3 so I could still play PS4 remotely. Looking at videos there really is not a big difference in visual fidelity and the base gameplay is obviously the same. And that is complete garbage. Even for a kids game.
After playing Skylanders Swap Force I have to say it was the much better purchase of the two. I still doubt I'd play it if I didn't have a kid, but it's actually pretty fun. I look forward to playing it with him each time.

it is really hard now, since the payout is low in terms of cash, and rp points. it feels like a grindfest. i stopped playing after i got to level 50 or 52 on gta v online for the ps3, because of their constant patch to reduce payouts. we used to have a gta v online cag crew, when the game first release. about 2 months later, half the people stopped playing, the other half left for other crews

First PS4 plat. Might have been my fastest plat but went to visit relatives for 5 days.  :D/

Probably going to fire up Dust next since it always gets good comments in here.

gator, if you want to see all the option available right now for apartments, check out the link below, and just copy and paste the name of the apartment into youtube, and you can see all the interiors ,and surrounding areas. or search it yourself in game by going there

it lists all the apartments so far available on gta v with the prices.

http://gta.wikia.com/Safehouses_in_GTA_Online

and the list of all the cars in the game. supercars, and racecars

It really didn't seem that bad to me last night. We were getting a few thousand RP for a lot of the missions. These other guys just starting could actually help me and my friend out a lot since they should get all the same missions we got from Gerald and Simeon and can invite us to play it with them all over again. We wont get as much in JP (although I am not even sure wtf that is for), but the RP should be pretty good for those short missions. I am not sure how often those keep coming.

I expect it to be a grind fest to get to 100, but I am used to that. So far it seems like it is going to be MUCH better than doing all the never ending Hangman's Noose grinding like I did to get the GTA 4 plat. I really only played 2 nights and I am to level 16, so I am happy with that progress. I know the later levels will seem like they will never end, but I'll make it through it somehow.

The missions like parachute challenges were kind of fun and short. Even those gave a few hundred RP. If you were just doing open world shit over and over to get RP it would really really suck.

always do the simon car mission, when he asked you to steal a certain type of car. you get good money for the car. i just steal cars, to los custom to sell, and robbing convenience store, without killing the attendant. do you know how difficulty that is? lol

i got killed so many times by the store clerk's shotgun, while running away.

if you have alot of friends . the quickest way to unlock car customs, and earn rp points is to take turns winning the races.
