Only have overtime left in Dead Rising 2. I was going to go for the platinum but 2 trophies are for playing the multiplayer and getting first place, apart from the other 2 for co-op.

The guide I was using wasn't good at describing the order necessary to finish the side missions in time or that some of them don't activate by themselves. This caused me to miss three of them and get locked out of another and its trophy.

Velo, if you still want or need to play some co-op let me know. I'm likely going to sell this off soon.

No. You really didn't add fuel to the fire at all I don't think. You pretty much said your piece about the down syndrome joke and once in a while you might bite back at him when he made a trophy comment about you, but you are probably the best one here at ignoring bait like that.

Sounded like a reasonable question to me. This just proves that people are so dumb that judges cant believe someone would actually know the word brandish without looking it up.

But some of you are lying to yourself if you don't think you treat Equistina nicer than others. I won't name names but you know who you are. I think she'd agree that she makes some rather inane comments that people just let go, whereas if someone else said that you guys would be all over him.

As a dumb example just from today, two of you guys made a stupid crack about my "small portions" comment within minutes after posting, but I notice nobody jumped on Equistina's "I'll be at the bottom I don't care" comment.

WTF? Thats a lot of blue weapons. Would never guess there would be ANY blues for primary making the top 10, maybe 1 or 2 for the others but damn heavy was half blues.

haha, I actually went back to snag eq's bottom comment as you were posting that. Well played old scratch.

Edit - and yeah, I definitely give equistina and a couple others a free pass most of the time for silly shit like that. I have picked on the oddities of her husband a couple times though.

I was going to mention that and deleted the post. Why? Because I dont want to be accused of being a snakey.

Remember there is such a thing as a double standard. We let women talk shit about men and sex etc like the girls on the Golden Globes last night. But if a dude went up there and started talking about women he wanted to sleep with he would be ridiculed for being sexist or a rapist. Its the world we live in.

So yes I let E get away with some comments. Because I dont want to be labled creepy.

And this comment is more directed at you. How soon you forget that the original PSN thread (and in all honestly the original bond that brought a lot of us regulars together) was partially built on making fun of stupidity in that thread.

Therm gets reamed ALL THE TIME here for saying stupid shit. Others do as well.

Stotch is just saying he doesn't abide by that double standard.

I agree let's not let it get too creepy in here. But she and lots of others say stupid things that can be made fun of without it being creepy, like Vig and Papi thinking the store is going to update on Thursday just to match up the the 15 for 15 sale on the 15th. I probably should have made fun of that.

Not using this as a blanket, but to address the situtaion you specifically mentioned, I think there is a difference from where the statements are coming from. You were talking about a shitty restaurant in a matter of fact way with no stake in anything. EQ was talking about being seen as unlikeable in a place she enjoys coming to. I don't want to put words in her mouth, but her statement may have been a deflection of a shitty feeling. And yeah maybe we do treat her differently, but unlike some of the dumbasses we made fun of in the other thread, she doesn't continue dumbass things and contributes. There's a difference between dumbassery because you're a dumbass, and being naive.

In conclusion, I don't know what the hell I'm trying to say.

I actually like the "bickering" or "arguments" we have in here.  Most of us are just explaining ourselves and our views and we usually do an alright job of it.  It isnt normally just "i am right and you are wrong".    Or "Your a doodoo head!" ass hattery like you see in other threads and comments around the net.

In my defense, I never said I thought the 15 for '15 sale would start on the 15th. I asked when they started on previous years because I was curious, and being a dumb number-pattern-liking guy, I noted that it would be interesting if Sony went with 1/15/15 in a flash-sale (i.e., not Tuesday) kind of way.

I completely see Stotch's point.  I just do things a bit differently.  I try to only do the ball busting type jokes with people who have been around long enough to know they can take it.  There are some people I do not think can take it.

I do not think it is as simple as male/female.  Cleaner is one of the coolest people in the thread and she does the ball busting jokes right along with the rest of us (yes, I know she won't sleep with me).

There are even a lot of the regulars who I think could take a joke, but I don't tend to tease them like others because they don't tease other people like some of us do.  

I dont think Stotch's way of interacting with people is any better or worse than mine.  They are just different.  I will say he treats everyone more equally than I do.  There is a lot to be said for always knowing where you stand with someone.  I think pretty much everyone knows that with him.

I remember Jimmie Johnson (football coach) always said he treated players differently.  And he had a great reason too.  He immediately cut a guy who was sleeping in a meeting one time.  He never played again.  But he freely admitted if Troy Aikmen were asleep he would have carefully walked over and nudged him.

I don't mind insults between friends. If I feel like I know the person well enough then that kind of comedy is okay with me. Sure, I've likely insulted people on this forum who likely don't see me as a friend, but that's the power of anonymity on the internet.

As for just blasting on somebody for no reason, that doesn't seem right to me. Hell, that's the main reason most people don't tend to post on gaming forums. If you're insulted out of the gate, it sure as fuck isn't going to be funny to you. It might make the "regulars" laugh, but then you're just creating this elitist mentality where the only ones welcome are those who have already been there.

Probably something in this post to make fun of too if you want.

I don't think anyone here gets ripped on when they don't deserve it. Jay would sometimes start beefs that felt very out of the blue, but besides that is seems like most of the insults are based on stuff people say, rather than actively working to exclude people.

The actual PSN thread was very exclusive though. Definitely some people who would be ripped on for their first post. But to be fair they were usually asking really stupid fucking questions or making asinine comments like "why isn't the store updated already" or "god I can't believe i missed the sale [that's been going on for the last 7 days]"

I agree, I think had the call stood that GB would have been able to advance down the field for a FG attempt and would have won. But selfishly, I wish the call would have stood because it was really a great play, and to have it overturned made the remainder of the game so anti-climactic. Just to be able to watch the drama unfold and see a great game continue, as a football fan, was what I was rooting for.
 
I left the insulting of new people back in the old regular PSN thread a long time ago, because people called me out on it and said I was being too hostile. I would still pull a jab on a few people if they asked a completely stupid question, but if they were just normal folks, I felt them up a little first before getting into it with them.

I did the same with equistina. Felt her up for months before making a judgment about her.

Cleaner is awesome, I think everyone knows that. You know why? Because if you ram her a little bit, she doesn't start talking about being suicidal. You can give it to her good and she just takes it with a smile on her face and gives it right back to you.
