I really liked SoT when I played it on PS2. It was a blast. It still was not anything like playing PoP 2008 for me though. The combat advances alone made that game a lot more fun for me. The only hate I knew that game had gotten was for the out of place voice work. Like I said above, that did not take away from how much I enjoyed playing it at all.

It is possibly the best bang for the buck game of the previous generation at this point too. I think Gamestop has it for like $3 or something.

I've watched all 3 seasons and I'm not even sure if I like it. It's kind of a weird show. Sometimes I like the characters, but a lot of the times I can't stand them. Before you spend too much time on it you should know that while that girl is hot, she does not show her rack. You're gonna have to settle for all kinds of nude Lena Dunham (not a good thing).

 
Thanks for the SoT thoughts y'all.  I might grab it since I want a quick completion to make me feel better while I'm grinding out Just Cause 2.  Never played any game from the series, and from Gator's take, I'm not at all interested in the other two in the trilogy.  

I've also been talked out of LBP Vita for the moment.  I was literally holding a hard copy of it today at Target during lunch because it was in the bin with the other mega cheap games from two weeks ago, but scanned as regular price.

Yep. I know playing later games and then going back to earlier ones is a good way to make the older ones not near as enjoyable. By playing them in order of release it's easier to appreciate whatever changes were made with each release.

 
Wonder if the New 3DS will actually be worth it this time around. Or if it'll end up like the DSi where it has maybe 5 games actually optimized for it. I don't use my 3DS enough to run out and grab this one on launch, but if they announce more than xenoblade for it, I might be interested.

I haven't had a 3DS of my own, so I'm considering it. The last Nintendo handheld I had was a DSi. But it will probably have to wait until later in the year if I do end up getting one.

 
I had rivals and really liked it, might get it for 12 bucks since having it digital would be good for remote play purposes, but will prolly pass on it.

Might grab some vita stuff, most likely, but not sure what yet.

Watched the first season, or part of it, was a shit show I thought. It was basically lena dunham, who is NOT hot, naked all the time. Show has hot chicks but they were never naked.

Even in that butt scene, no tits.

Our take on the show is pretty similar. Since it is written by a woman for women, I am thinking a lot of it is lost on us.

In terms of the nude scenes, there have been quite a few guest star women that were pretty hot that have been naked in the show. You are right though, the nude scenes are dominated by ones of Lena Dunham.

Well that's disappointing that the show isn't even really good. Maybe I'll just wait around for more Allison Williams ass-eating gifs.

Not much too exciting in the sale this time around.  Pretty lackluster for a big anniversary.  But might finally pick up Tearaway, since I haven't seen the physical copy on sale recently.  Maybe pick up the Ratchet & Clank and Jak collections, and Danganronpa.  But might just pick up the physical copy from the NISA store.

Xenoblade is tempting enough by itself. But I'm going to try and hold out for another big name franchise. Or at least until my purple 3DS breaks or accidentally flies off a cliff or something.

Everytime I think I am hopelessly behind someone mentions games they haven't played, and I realize I've played them all, like before Metal Gear Rising...played it, and I'm ready for 5. Makes it feel less hopeless :) I guess we are all behind but on different games.

I want to get the smaller new 3DS mainly because I can't stand the weight distribution in my current XL and I can't stand how the screen wobbles. I have a DSi XL and it's much more sturdy (need to sell that too). The improvements seem somewhat worthwhile, it will be nice to have 3D that doesn't break the second you turn your head. I just hope they announce some new games to go along with the new system, seems like 3DS releases have been slow, or maybe just not my types of games. It's weird to still think the DS Lite is the best Nintendo handheld yet.

Apparently the standard New 3DS isn't mentioned anywhere on that leaked flyer, only the New 3DSXL. This might mean that Nintendo will phase out the standard 3DS in favor of the 2DS, but I suppose we'll know for sure after the Direct tomorrow morning.

Yeah I'm hoping that's just IGN hyperbole though because that would suck. I guess we will find out tomorrow. If that's the case I might just man up and ditch it all together. Since the Vita I barely play it anyway.

I haven't even started Dr. Who and was planning to after seeing an episode my brother-in-law recommended and which I thought was certainly way, way better than the original Dr. Who shows I'd seen years ago. Oh well. I'm not sure I want to buy them, so at this point I guess I just won't start and hope it comes back in the future.

 
Told the wife we'd have to marathon all that BBC shit over the next two weeks. She reminded me she has all of Torchwood and most of Doctor Who on DVD. 

I hate swapping DVDs out, but that sure makes things a bit easier.

Watch the first season with Christopher Eccleston. He's only the Doctor for one season, so it's a bite-size chunk you can knock out pretty easily.

 
yeah i just picked up the ps3 rivals before i got a ps4 and still in the wrapping but I think I might trade it in at bestbuy for 7ish and just upgrade to ps4 version.

also anytime we hang out with coke/methy couples they love to eat ass. (also warning, don't hang out with cokey/meth couples, they are crazy) Its like some crazy direct correlation of ass eating/rimming and couples/chix hopped up on speed. Usually its the chic that wants to eat ass too. crazy crazy world. people like that make me feel so white vanilla.

crazy they are selling sr4 reelected for $15 but the sr4/gat bundle for $50. even $30 at bestbuy i passed. volition also is known for shitty shitty dlc, so I wouldn't expect too much from this gat expansion, even tho I love gat and sr, and it has a plat. Im hoping $13 or so from gamefly soon enough.

Wait until they unveil the New WiiUi Lite at E3.

I would actually prefer to switch from 3DS XL (hate that flimsy hinge, as well) to a smaller 3DS. Something a bit more pocket size would be better, I think, but either way I never play it enough to justify an upgrade any time soon. And I never use the 3D so that upgraded feature does nothing for me.

PS: I have to laugh at IGN once again doing an article on that Analogue NT. I know it really just amounts to click bait for them, but it's sad how big sites like that are full of so many clueless people. No discussion of cheap conversions you can do to an old NES system for the same results and the fact that they're completely ignorant of the completely shoddy reputation that guy has built for himself.

 
As for the sale, Pharm got it right with one of the very first posts.  A bunch of old shit that's been on sale a billion times before.  I think the blog listed the original Infamous for like $1.19 so I might buy that just to own it permenantly.  Then R&C Vita for $12 is really the only other thing worth considering.  I got screwed on Sly when it was $10 then $8 at best buy like a week later.  But R&C is digital only so maybe I won't get slapped so hard this time.
