Got my first plat of the year: Infamous Second Son. Finished it at 90% and figure I might as well do 100% before bed. I liked all the little Easter Eggs that I found so far. Lots of Sly Cooper stuff.

I'm debating what to start next. I might go back to Strider or start Dust, The Swapper or Unfinished Swan. Heck, I'm even debating First Light. I guess I'm not Infamoused out yet.

Sony needs to fix the PS4 library. I downloaded, played then deleted the Crimsonland demo and now it's stuck in my list of games. That's really annoying.
Unfinished Swan is pretty short, you can finish the trophy list in an afternoon, I did it in under 5 hours.

Cant add KH3 to my cart on Amazon?

ALso, congrats to Gator on the level 100 grind in GTA.  Any of you guys who arent there yet, lets play a bit this week.  I want to knock out a few more of the MP trophies before trading it in this coming weekend.

I watched s1. I liked the premise and start of the show quite a bit, but everything going on outside the prison and the show continuing on after they broke out of prison completely killed my interest.
I loved S1, liked S2, enjoyed the first part of season 3, not enthused about the second half of season 3, was baffled by the stupidity of S4, and underwhelmed by the cash grab, DTV movie which should have just been an episode of the show. Given how S4 ended I don't see any reason to bring back Prison Break.

Here's a very brief, not very spoilery description of each season if you want to decided whether to continue

S1 - Prison Break + out of prison investigation

S2 - On the Run + Group chasing them

S3 - In a hell-hole foreign prison + out of prison investigation

S4 - Secret Agent Scofield and his Hell's Angels

Actually the future episode of Dollhouse s1 killed my desire to watch more of that, too. Offhand I can't think of a TV show doing time travel in a way I liked.
The flash forward episode is probably the only reason I came back for the second season of Dollhouse as the first season wasn't really that interesting until I could finally see what they were building toward, then S2 showed it building closer to that point and then the last episode of the series was another flash forward to end it without a cliffhanger. Pretty much the only thing I hated about S2 was a late game twist that makes absolutely NO SENSE at all. S2 is a lot better than 1, I would give it another shot.

I was happy to see Knepper show up on Flash, though. He was great in Prison Break and Carnivale. I've seen him play a couple villains in other things and he did a good job there, too.

There was another series set in the same universe as PB, Breakout Kings. That was two seasons long and did have Knepper reprise his T-Bag role in that for an episode. I actually liked that quite a bit more than I did PB.
The Bros. Scofield were just on Flash as villains so I am sure we'll see all 3 team up at some point.

So if you have GCU and are just interested in the Dark Souls 2 CE extras (because you want to pick up the Scholar of Sin (all DLC) edition for PS3 / PS4) It's $40 after GCU at BB, then you can trade in the disc currently at base of $8 (so $11ish w/ the promo I think) for an out the door of $30ish

Embossed Tin case, soundtrack, cloth map, art book, and a foot tall knight figure.

Why would anybody do this now? If they've waited this long they should just wait longer for the PS4 version.

Tempted to go for KH3, but I'v eyet to play any of the games but BBS on PSP. I still don't have 2.5. So that's what...six games to play yet? :wall:
If you haven't played the 1st and 2nd game, I wouldn't preoder it. Plus the game will probably be in our group so you can just borrow it there.

Oh and Savage Moon was not a great choice after playing Defense Grid. It's like going from Scarlett Johansson to BEtty White.

Meh. Maybe 4. 1, 2, CoM and DDD. You can watch all the scenes for 358/2 Days on 1.5 and from what I hear you can just skip over coded completely.

Sweet, got KH3.

I'm tempted to just preorder MGV in the chance that it drops. Amazon does the price guarantee, so if it ever does drop to that $40ish price, I'll have it. And it's a game I'm most likely buying at launch.

Stotch, what do you make of this "legendary" snowstorm they're talking about hitting New England this week? Another case of the news overhyping things?

I'm sure Zimm and Simmias will enjoy this Body Count cover of Suicidal Tendencies "Insitutionalized".

EVERYBODY IN THIS THREAD SHOULD WATCH THIS VIDEO:

Snowstorms are weird for me since I work from home now. I don't really care about them since they don't Impact me that much.

But yes, I think people are hyping it up way too much. I saw a news post from a local CBS station that said it was going to be a "historic" storm with "blizzard-like" conditions. So it's going to be historic...but not even a blizzard? How the fuck is that historic? Depending on where you look, it's either up to 20 inches of snow, or over 30.

But judging by the fact that the grocery store was sold out of bottled water and bread, I'm guessing everyone believes what they're hearing.

Therm should try reading an entire post before he starts to shit on it.
I read the entire post, but there's not a single thing in that post about how the PS4 version probably won't have a CE. Which is why I asked the question--seemed like waiting for the PS4 CE would be a better approach as then you don't have the old version of the game instead of the newer one.

Bosses that infinite spawn minions are the worst. Just wasted my lunch having a stalemate with a demon gaze boss. Partly my fault, cause I forgot to switch my keys.

Yeah, you need to do massive amounts of damage to the boss as quickly as possible. I've had like 5 rows of minion summons. Until you get to the end of the game and have spells that hit everybody, in that situation you're entirely screwed. The boss can just summon faster than you can kill off that many rows.

How far in are you? Once I got in a ways I ended up with a setup that worked wonders. I had an assassin hide and then she had a bind effect or something when she attacked. Coming out of hiding to attack gave her a huge boost in damage and chance to hit. The boss when bound takes tons more damage and can't summon or anything for a couple of turns, either. Granted I was playing on normal rather than hard mode, but with the above approach I was slaughtering bosses in 2-3 turns a lot of the time.

Unfortunately I didn't figure out what the Shadow Step or whatever skill was good for until the very end of the game. I think I used it in the dungeon where you face all the bosses again as part of the post main story content.

There was news a couple weeks ago about them bringing back Prison Break for a limited series, sort of like they did with 24 last year. They said the original cast was on board, but I haven't seen anything else about it since then.
If you hear anything else about it post here please. I'd be interested in checking it out.

This. Especially because Amazon doesn't annoy people with preauthorization charges and the like.

I'll probably cancel my Monster Hunter preorder, and the Kingdom Hearts preorder as well, but it's nice to know they're locked in at a low price. I won't go crazy with preordering every upcoming release only to cancel them later on, but the ones that were part of the Walmart glitch are probably good candidates (and ones that actually interest me).

Anyone that's grabbing games from the 3 for $10 Gamestop sale should include Singularity in their haul. Excellent game that seems to be overlooked.

Jim Sterling liked it a lot, apparently.

It boggles the mind why Activision, a publisher obsessed with building huge franchises, has refused to help the brand awareness of Singularity. Overshadowed by nearly every other release this year, Raven Software's time-manipulating shooter was released without so much as a squeak, and very few people have talked about it since.

This is criminal, as Singularity is probably the best new shooter I've played all year, and is easily one of Raven's finest games. Read on for the full review and find out why Activision is positively insane for sweeping this diamond in the rough under the carpet.
I'll probably check it out at that price. Trying to figure out if there's anything else worthwhile to round it out. Thinking Lost Planet 2. For the third I'll have to look through the more unfamiliar titles since I've already got quite a few of those.

These are in store only right? Went by there earlier, but they didn't have anything good with the exceptions of some things I already owned.
Yep, store only. Though you might have luck requesting they do a transfer so all 3 titles you want are in a single store. Or you can just grab an alternate, drive to another store that has a 3rd game you want, and then swap out.

Sounds like Singularity isn't hard to get all the SP trophies in. Only requires one playthrough of hard mode. MP seems to take a lot more effort; you must complete 100 elimination public matches, 25 Creatures vs Soldiers matches, and there's a number of trophies for killing in particular ways or having the most kills in a game. The guide says the servers were spotty when it was posted. No idea if they're still online or how populated they are nowadays, but playstationtrophies.org has people looking for boosting as far back as 2011.

I played it way back then and it was fucking great.

The trophies themselves are fairly easy for SP but MP is a grind. I've seen gaming sessions on PSNP not too long ago. It really isn't worth it to do the multiplayer but for $3, I'll pick it up to play through the story mode again. I'll be down to help anyone here if they do decide to go for those trophies.

On way back from grocery store no gallons of water but the did have smaller bottles. Our drinking water tastes like crap so we usually buy gallons.

lol Wish you had, I like G.G. Body Count is decent, I just think Ice T is completely out of place in a metal band
Ice T isn't the same since he showed up on Law and Order.

Figured nobody here wants to see GG cutting himself with broken beer bottles and rubbing feces on himself.

It's crazy he had an open casket funeral and it's on YouTube.

I'm on the 8th key. I probably should have made different classes a while ago. I have fighter, paladin, healer, archer/sniper. I made my whole party on the first dungeon though using the gem grind. Haven't really had a problem til I hit this one though. My prebattle against them lasted like 30 minutes, but they stopped spawning and I was able to finish them.

Not shocking he died. Shocking part is he lived as long as he did! They said when he died his body was covered in blood and shit from the show from the night before

Well GG always said he was going to kill himself on stage at a show and the police would always show up. I'm shocked he lived as long as he did. I always laughed when he go into the crowd and fight his fans.

It is finally finished.  It will be so nice to play a different game.

I liked GG early music as it had a great punk sound. I never got into his Murder Junkies stuff but GG was definitely a crazy mofo.

Here's his last interview before he died:

Man I hate living in New England sometimes. We just went to the grocery store and it was mobbed. Some fat guy tried to jump the deli counter line and I called him on it...fists almost went flying.

What I remember about the servers is the matchmaking issues. Sure they were dead, but if you got enough people to make teams often you couldn't find them. We'd have 8 people getting split up into 3 different lobbies and no games starting.

It was a fun game though, definitely worth getting for $3 or so and if you actually play the mp it's pretty good.
