I think I have told you all this before.  The only reason I am even considering a new TV is because I bought my current main living room one in 2007 when flat screens were still $5 grand plus.  I got a 57 inch Hitachi Projection HDTV for $1700 at the time.  We are still rocking it.  It looks decent enough too.  But as a divorce present I am going to get me a fancy new flat screen.

I currently game exclusively on a 43 inch Samsung plasma.  It is only 720!  But it still looks damn good.

My 32'' Vizio, which I got mainly for gaming, is still doing pretty well since buying it in June 2012.
Thanks Vig, My 27" vizio is going strong since May 2007, my other Vizio is going strong since June 2012 as well! In laws Samsung crapped out after a year and a half, bought a vizio in 2011 and it is still going strong.

I think cheaper sets should have more ports than expensive ones. I know that will never happen since they are charging you more for all the extra circuitry, but people who are likely to buy the more expensive TVs likely have HDMI switching receivers. The extra ports are just wasted then. People buying cheaper sets likely have everything on a different input.
Yeah, I was wondering why everyone cared how many HDMI ports their TVs have, then remembered 90% of this thread is anti-receiver.

They are passable picture quality. The remote for my Vizio (I think 27") has not worked well at all since only a few months after buying it. That pisses me off. Batteries aren't the issue. But mainly it's the mediocre picture quality and that it shows a pulsing/scrolling line effect or something whenever the image is dark.
Have never had any of the issues you have stated on three vizios rangin from 27" to 42"

This is true. I run everything through my receiver, even the Chromecast. It's still nice to have the 3 extra HDMI ports just in case the receiver dies or I want to replace my main and move this TV elsewhere, though.

Yeah Chewy needs to realize that just because he had an issue with one TV it doesnt make the brand bad.  Vizio is actually really good for the money.  Better TVs are out there but cost a lot more on average.

I worked at Best Buy and at the time they didn't sell Vizio... I have loved every Vizio, and always had customers who requested vizios but had to turn them down. For the money, they last a hell of a long time, and honestly, I would take a slightly worse picture on a cheaper Tv that lasts long, versus the absolute best picture for a TV that craps out right after the warranty ends.

Our 32" 720p Samsung has not had issues except that now the power button on the TV is a little finicky. Remote works perfect, as do the other buttons on the TV. Many years of use. Definitely better picture quality than the Visio. I'd buy Samsung again, but I think my next TV will be an LG. I'm super impressed with the LG my sister got.

I wish it would die, though, so I needed to get a new TV!

You are asking the wrong question. Can you sell the rest of the stuff for more than $10? Yes.

JC3 stuff:

Tethering things to other things was one of the best things about Just Cause 2, but it’s even more fun in the new game. You can now use multiple tethers at once (a maximum of three, but modders will deal with that), and adjust their tension at the touch of a button. So say an attack chopper is on your tail. You can tether it to the ground, then tighten the wires so that it pulls it down and smashes it into the ground. Or maybe you just want to tether a few enemies to your sports car and do doughnuts as they scream in terror. The potential for physics-based mischief and mayhem here is huge.
In JC2 you could call in vehicles and weapons, but for a cost. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve spent a fortune on a plane, only to screw up the take-off and slam it into the ground. That won’t be a problem in JC3, though, because supply drops are free. You can call in tanks, choppers, guns, cars, and so on at any time, and there’s no cost. But to balance things out, enemy strength will dynamically increase as your own firepower does. Get into a tank and you’ll suddenly be facing soldiers with RPGs, for example. So while calling in drops will be more convenient, it won’t make the game too easy.

Also people put TVs in rooms they might not want a 5.1 or better system in. I agree for a real theater like experience nothing beats a good surround system with upgraded speakers. Not everyone wants that in their living room or bedroom.

Every model of every brand is different. Some are bad, some are good. Some good models can still have remotes or buttons crap out. It happens. I have an LG, a Sony, a Samsung and a Hitachi right now.

The only one I had any issues with so far is the LG. The buttons on the side of the TV dont work intermittently. But I dont think the brand is bad.

So do we all get mad at Pete when the bundle isn't for sale?

Edit: Pete is the greatest.  Ordered.

So you are comparing older set's picture quality to a newer set's picture quality? Do you not see the lack of logic in that comparison?

Are divorce presents a thing? I like my wife fine, but I could use a new TV...
NO. NO. NO. DO NOT START THAT DUMB SHIT. I couldnt believe it when I heard women now expect presents from their husbands when they give birth.

I am getting MYSELF a present when I get a divorce because my wife costs me a lot more now than she will later. Even with alimony.

Sold out before I could put it in my cart. I'm on a wait list. Well, I don't really need it/shouldn't buy it.
Want the bundle?

I have it in cart, can just ship it to you and you just send me an amazon GC.

Not sure I need a second and wife would most likely be pissed. But I would have a pstv in the living room and in the bed room and my ps4 in the media room...

Thanks, but no I probably shouldn't buy it. I'm not even sure why I should want it! Sell it to Tyler.

I've got a 2.0 setup myself. I hate the idea of running wires or using wireless and having to deal with battery issues. If it were a new house with that stuff run it'd be great, but in the meantime a couple of big-ass floor stand Klipsch speakers work great.

So I just read that after you beat Uncharted 2, you can use "Tweaks" in your game at or below the difficulty you finished it at.  But there's some kind of cheat/glitch/sorcery that allows you to use them in higher difficulties.

My question to ye people of the PSNOT, has anyone done this and do you know if it disables the Crushing trophy at all?  If not, it would make me more likely to go for the plat.
