If you're not constantly checking retailer sites for wave 4 preorders to open, you need to read the last 50-60 posts and seriously reconsider. This is ugly.
 
Does anyone have a Meta Knight from any region already?

They sat some out at Best Buy this morning and the one I looked at had a horrible paint job.

 
Toys R Us here in Houston near NRG Stadium only had 4 Mega Man's. That's it!! No Sonic, King Dede, no one else. Did manage to get Shiek though.
 
All of this talk about how everywhere only having extra Mega Man and all I want is Mega Man lol. Stores here get bought out quick if you are not there everyday at opening or noon when they get shipments in. 

 
And with today, I am officially out of the hunt. Im not gonna waste my time anymore trying to outsmart some other dude who can afford to spend 2 hrs waiting before opening just to snatch them all up. It was frustrating and fun while it lasted. I wish everyone the best of luck.
 
Following the information provided in that reddit link of release dates, I went to Best Buy hoping to find Sonic.  Nope, not a single one.  I was the first one there, too.  

Also struck out at Gamestop, they had none of the new releases (Ike, Dedede, Sheik, Toon Link, or Shulk...not that I was expecting Shulk, but one can dream, eh?) but they did at least still have the pre-orders open for Shulk, so I got mine in.  I was tempted to get two, but I can't help but imagine being the last person to walk in and try to pre-order when they run out, knowing people ordered more than one and ruined my chances.  I'd be aggravated...not trying to do that to other people.

At least I sated my curiosity by going out to check.  Now I can continue checking websites without worrying about missing out at my local stores...

Every Nintendo retail release lately has been a like a Black Friday. I miss six months ago when this wasn't a thing, it all started with that Smash Bros. bundle. I would say the Pikachu 3DS, but I don't think anyone saw that coming.

So I got to TRU 20 minutes before they open. Keep in mind it is about 8 degrees here and -10 with the wind chill. There were 4 people in front of me, so I thought I had a chance at at least KDDD, which is all I really wanted. They open the doors and we all orderly walk to the counter (amazing I know). They had 2 KDDD, 2 Sonic and 3 mega man.

Naturally the first 2 people get 1 of each and the 3rd person gets the remaining mega man. I am absolutely shell shocked that a store will get such an incredibly low supply of new amiibos, how does this even happen. I'm extra mad that they made us wait so long. There was about 20+ people in line by the end of it, why not just say "we only got 2 of x, 2 of y and 3 of z.

This is the same TRU that only got 2 damn lucarios total. It is a big toysrus to in a heavily populated area. Anyways, rant over, toys r us is the worst.

I was at Best Buy and Toys R Us at open (They're right next to each other) went in Best Buy first, they didn't have any new Amiibos or the MM 3ds Bundle, I left quick and went to Toys R Us. They had 4 Mega Mans and 4 Sonics. All of which were being checked out. All the people buying them were seemingly mothers with their young sons, so I was happy to see that. Actually, if I was at the counter I probably would have just let them have them because I would feel like a dick.

Oh well.

GS Customer Service told me it would either be the 13th or 20th. Safe to say it's the 20th at this point as I haven't gotten a call about my in-store preorder yet.

my toysrus had ike for preorder only, so toysrus should have released Ike today but the majority of them were preorders, i had him preordered so I did get Ike today.

 
Was second in line but they only had 1 non-mega man non-preorder availble -- sonic. Picked up my KDD and MM, but was sad not to get the Sonic and that they had NO Ike available. Oh well. It was funny though because I just asked if they got anything else in and they said, "oh yeah, these" and opened a box of n3dsxls and Zelda MM. Was funny cuz I asked that after everyone else left so I guess no one else wanted them (walked around the store a bit after being 2nd in line).

Just feel glad you have a DeDeDe unlike the rest of us unwashed masses that didn't pre-order.

 
Based on this thread, Ike is definitely the Little Mac/Marth/WFT/Villager of this wave, which is not much of a surprise.
 
Just got home from the Frisco, Texas TRU location. First and foremost met some awesome people out there. Including some CAGers! 

Stock situation. They had 2 DeDeDe's. 8 MegaMan, 0 Ike and 4 Sonic.

They limited it to 1 of each figure per person but not like some are reporting. Was a lot more organized than the last time as well. I was able to buy one of each. To use the 3 for $33 deal.  I was first in line :)

It would make no sense for them to have those models in game and not actually make the amiibos for them. Theyve already remade Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, and Yoshi. Pretty safe to say these characters will be remade down the line exactly like they are in game.

not a sure thing. It is a super mario series, not a mario party series. Just because they are shown different in game doesn't mean anything.

at my toysrus they came out with tickets for the amiibos and new 3dsxls, not a single person in the line of 20 people wanted a new 3dsxl and after us 5 got the few non preorder amiibos she told the rest of the line they were out and everyone just left lol

You can order Shulk in-store with the WIS order at Gamestop. Gamestop I know just called me to let me know after I told him about my Shiek/Shulk mixup. No clue how long it will last so if you missed it now is your chance.

Thanks. I'll probably be there at opening on Tuesday then.. I haven't had any luck with the amiibos I want, therefore I've yet to buy any. There were a couple of Toon Links at TRU, just didn't want them. Hopefully, I have some luck next week. Waiting to see these preorders to come up for the wave 4 guys.

I found zelda OOT at walmart this morning while looking at their amiibos. Walmart is a great place to look for old games since no one ever buys from there

UPDATE: Got back from my TRU just now. 15 people in line, I was number 4. Really nice folks, we started a sub reddit for us locals too. As far as inventory... 1 really tiny box.

I somehow managed to snag a Mega Man and Sonic. Also got a Toon Link so I could get the 3/$33

I will be heading to Best Buy and Vintage Stock around noon for sh*ts and giggles.

I had the same thing happen to me wed night. I got sheik instead of shulk and didnt notice till i got home. Were they able to tell they messed up by looking up your receipt? I'm going to try to get this resolved today but not sure what to do if i run into issues. Im sure they sold my actual Shulk by now.

 
My inventory last night was:

4 Sonic

4 Megaman

2 Dedede

1 Ike

Our store only had the pre-order cards up for a day before the company pulled them, so none were pre-ordered.

 
Best buy had 1 Sonic on the floor.  After I grabbed it I saw a few people that were at TRU headed to the aisle, the dirty looks I got from them were absolutely priceless.

Lol we will see, those characters are technically part of the Mario series. Theyve been in several mario kart games too and Rosalina in Galaxy and others. It even shows them with the red SMS bases. I think its pretty much a given. I wont be collecting the duplicates but it appears thats where the Mario series will be going for now. Hopefully they start to release some of the more specific characters in the Mario series that arent in SSB.

Also, I think its pretty much a general consensus for most people think that they are going to make at least the rest of the SSB roster...so I think these characters/figures are about as sure as them finishing the SSB roster. Is that 100% sure? No but like I said before, very very likely.

When I pre-ordered it instead of pre-ordering Shulk they marked it as shiek and I didn't noticed until I got a text. I called them the day I got the text and they were able to fix it and I picked up my Shulk yesterday.

 
Only got MegaMan, but my Toysrus is pretty awesome. The manager brought us in over an hour early and went ahead and sold us amiibos. Very cool, now to best buy for sonic?
 
Today TRU had a ticket system, but the tickets were off since I knew the stock from when I asked the other day. So when he only handed out 2 of the 5ish Sonics they had I knew something was up. I got checked out by the manager who told me the number the other day. Asked her what was up with the number discrepancy. She asked the other dude where the fuck the extra Sonics went. He looked at the paper with the stock #s. Looked at his ticket system. Seemed sorta confused for a moment and handed me a Sonic from the box. So either he actually messed up the ticket system or someone was trying to hold a couple back for themselves.

Ahh so yours is a little different situation. My preorder was for Shulk, and my receipt from pickup says Shulk on it as well. I paid in full at time of order so maybe thats why it went through the register ok. Not sure, i'll find out in a couple hours. This is really bothering me lol. Hope i can get it fixed or at least do WIS system as you mention. Thanks for the tip.

 
Waited out in front of TRU for about a half hour. I was 7th in line and they ended up only having 4 Dedede and 4 Mega Man, so I walked away with nothing. Went to 3 different GS locations and no Shulks. Checked out 4 different Wal marts and no Sonics. Today has sucked.
 
so is best buy releasing king DDD early? or do i have to wait till next week? i havent had to flip my shit ...yet! i went and picked up my amiibos and saw kids looking at what i had preordered i felt bad but early bird gets the worm!!! I preordered months ago!

they are only releasing Sonic today. 2/20 for all Wave 3b Amiibos!

Both of the TRU near me had sold out of Sonic and Mega Man by the time I got there. One of them did have some Lucarios sitting on the pegs still. The first TRU had a group of 8 or so guys checking out and I was told they got the last of them. The second one I was told only had enough to cover their pre orders.
