It's not survival horror at all, the controls are a bit clunky and some of the enemies do take too many bullets depending on the gun. BUT it's pretty fun, it'd probably be really fun coop, it's colorful/fun to look at, and the mp modes just aren't half bad. It's really a serviceable left 4 dead clone and yet another example of why I get sick of people shit talking things they haven't even tried.

If you did play it past the first chapter and hated it, why? My guess is because you thought it'd be a resident evil game and not a game just conveniently borrowing that universe for a 4p coop action game.

iv got all the dlc (doubles the game content) and 2 copies of the game. My girl and I enjoyed it. We would be down to play co op sometime whenev.

 
god I fucking hate internet gamers. there's a huge pile of twats right now on every youtube comments section, playstation article, blog post, etc all across the great wide internet just posting comment after comment about how much the order 1886 sucks. when virtually no one has played it.

maybe it does suck, we'll see. I have no idea. I also haven't read a word of any reviews yet so I get to decide for myself. Worst case scenario I gave bby $12 of my hard earned spacebucks to find out (after I give it back to them).

Just like adults trolling kids (which just so there's no confusion is the dumbest fucking thing ever and anyone that participates in shit like that destiny video is hands down the biggest loser I have ever heard of) I do not understand the urge to just incessantly rag on something in public based on what other people say. What kind of fucking idiot would you look like if those other people turned out to be wrong? Or so what if they're right? You're announcing to the world what a moron you are either way I guess, but soooo many people do it. It's astounding!

I've barely played Demon's Souls and haven't touched Dark Souls 1+2, so I've no idea if it's the same old thing or not.

The youtu.be links aren't resolved properly as embedded videos by CAG. The problem is wherever you're grabbing those links from isn't getting you the correct URL, basically.

 
Discovered that micro center still carries game stuff, just in a smaller scale. So I can either go get a free $20 game or a free $20 psn card today (assuming they don't have any noteworthy deals). Pretty rad coupon, thanks obama.
 
Finally kicked the Slimer ass by just going gung ho and running back and forth while swing my sword wildly with the barbarian.  Also collected all the runes.  

So if I'm thinking about trying for the plat (yea right fuck you remix bosses), I should get all the blueprint slots that I can currently see filled before I fight the end boss right?

I might just fuck that noise and fight him anyway so I can add it as a bonus game since I really doubt I have patience for the remixes.

Pre order and buy it anyway. Play it and see for yourself. You will get most of your money back from BB anyway. I can see the value of that one holding a loong time. Everyone seems to have a hard on for the Souls games.

 
Watching through that Hand of Fate video. It looks pretty damn cool so far. I really like the concept. Haven't seen the brawler stuff yet, though.

I normally agree, but not on a Friday. Especially a Friday where it is possible the entire city will be in a panic if we get the weather they anticipate.

I never have to worry about the early morning ones with them. It is more the lunch time ones or late ones. This meeting was initially scheduled for noon. So they are good about picking bad times for us.

 
Well I am cruising through my crushing play through of Uncharted now that I watched a walkthrough and just may have cheated in two sections of the game... I will also be using the Chapter 13-14 glitch just to speed through, should have it done for my 4 for Feb by next week, add The order this weekend and i should get three of the games I listed done.

 
Oh I also rewired my whole entertainment center since I got the powerline adapters in the mail yesterday... it really works!  Got a ethernet splitter and now have a wired connection to my PS4, PS3, Directv box, and my Directv genie.  The PlayStations doubled in speed and I have no connection disruptions anymore!  Totally worth it for $20

$20? I don't think I've ever seen them anywhere near that low. Did you find them on clearance?

 
Dear diary,

I'm watching some of the videos from the ffxv demo now. It is pretty good looking. There are zero transitions between fights/exploring. Battle seems much more akin to an action or Tales game. Final fantasy fans on the internet will be displeased.
 
So I know there is a pretty good size group here that seem to have really enjoyed the Dangan Ronpa games.  Are any of you not anime fans but still enjoyed the game?  I looked through some gameplay videos on youtube and it really seems even more like a Visual Novel than what VLR did.  There does not seem to be anything but pointing and clicking and spamming X to get through the huge amount of dialog.  Maybe I just didn't get far enough in to see actual gameplay?

I do not think I am interested in doing what I see from that video for 30-40 hours.  I liked VLR at first, but by the end I just wanted it to be done.  If I thought that, would you still recommend this game?  I am seriously considering just sending it back to Gamefly.

I know im going to get the wrath of vig and a few others, but I just didn't feel it. I loved VLR and 999 (back on ds) but I couldn't get into this game at all. I 'beat' it a few days ago, but didn't even post it on here yet cuz I was gonna try to plat it, but this just isn't my type of game. I might skip the phoenix wright games in my ds backlog (haha like i was gonna play non trophy games while I still have trophy games to go for years). I started it up thinking it would be alot more like vlr because bunch of people trapped in a school and murders etc by a crazy bear thing, but there were no puzzles really, and it just seemed like lots of clicking. idk. I liked VLR's sci fi craziness and solving the room puzzles, but dangonronpa was just text on text and dumb courtroom battles. zero replay. also i totally loved the whole dimension travels and spoilers and timeline fun of vlr, i think stotch or someone from this thread even wrote the vlr guide, but none of that in this game... just lots of guy/girls and split personalities etc that didn't pull me in as much as robots and time travel and plagues etc in vlr. i don't know. i sound like a hater but it just wasn't my type. I have to connect my vita wifi to upload the trophies, but yeah, idk. Too each their own. also today is my birthday. wootwoot

and i used to love anime, blue seed and neon genesis evangelion and etc. I just can't read so much if im not really feeling it...

For all you other Souls fanatics, a few years ago it was revealed the Devs planned to do six worlds in Demon's Souls, but they ran out of time to finish it, so they smashed the level's archstone in the Nexus. A person got into the Dev menu of Demon's Souls a few months ago and found there was the partially completed world 6 still on the disc. With a few other tweaks (increasing available RAM, etc.) last week he was able to load up the level in-game and wander around.

I totally thought that. A few others and myself were hoping it was gonna be dlc. I loved Demons' Souls, but I thought the game was too short. I didn't plat and really barely played it but there were only like 5 levels and most only had 2 real stages per level and then a boss fight. I thought it was crazy short, but then I guess that's where new game + ( and ng++ etc) come in. but yeah, I think only the 1st world in the game had like 3 levels and then a boss fight, and that was the longest levels in the game. I guess if they just added filler shit it wouldn't be as tight as it was, and it is a super great game, but yeah I felt it was a lil light on worlds back when I played it.

I guess that's like saying Rogue Legacy or Dragon's Crown are short because there are only 'a few' levels, but the real game is replaying those levels over n over or new game + or destiny worlds or warframe levels over n over. I guess more content/worlds isn't needed if you can just keep reusing assets with scaling enemies/skills. I am new at playing video games. You guys see that awesome maniac mansion or quest for glory stuff on kotaku?

Yeah, I used that heavily to get through VLR. At first I used it if I got stuck, then I used it to just get it over with.

Thanks for responding to my earlier post. I assumed I was really missing something since it seems like everyone wants to praise the game, but you seem to sound like what I would expect to if I decided to play it. If it was 10-15 hours I would be much more likely to give it a shot. As of now, I think I would be much happier playing First Light or Uncharted GA or many of the other digital games from the backlog than forcing myself through this just because I got it from Gamefly.
