Did all race, lumens, and graffiti after the first mission. I'm just starting the second and I'm super upgraded. You'd think they would have put some kind of limit on the upgrades to prevent this situation.
You dont open up the last attack and upgrade path until after like halfway through the story.

Man, the one great store related decision Sony made was to let you access it from the web on a PC. I started the download on Binary Domain on Friday from within the PS3 store since I had forgotten to add it to the download queue and it is just so much more of a chore to navigate through it. I know I wouldn't have bought nearly as much stuff if I had to scroll through that every week.

I have to put away a lot of my systems later today, my child has figured out how to turn them on and off since she now reaches. Now I can only have 3 consoles out since thats the last place she can't reach….I'm thinking PS3, PS4, and wii u? I want to keep out the 360 for the kinect but other than the kinect I don't touch it.

Are the challenges really that tough? The trophy guide says 3/10, but then a bunch of people in the comments and other topics say it's harder than that.
Depends on how you approach it. If you're trying to straight-up fight you'll get slaughtered simply due to overwhelming numbers. When I quit that and moved to a missile-heavy approach and basically running from one neon source to another it wasn't bad at all. You absolutely want your homing missiles upgraded, though. It helps a ton to be able to shoot a bunch off and then jump somewhere else, drain neon, and do it again. The ledges up top are great for that.

One of the tips I saw for the hostage situations was to put the hostages in stasis and then take out the bad guys. According to the tip they won't shoot at the hostage while he's in stasis, so that gives you time to wipe them out. That never worked for me--they'd still shoot the guy even if he was floating there in my bubble. After a few times getting almost all the way through those challenges only to have a hostage die near the end, I gave up on that approach. I switched to shooting a bunch of homing missiles from far enough away that they were never triggered into attacking the hostage and got it on my first try.

I'm pretty sure he isn't getting her a car, so it is doubtful he is going to get a PS4.
I didn't get my husband a car

All I got him for our anniversary was a soccer jersey he wanted.

The car was something separate. He somehow convinced me that he could get it. Not like I would have told him no, he sold his car before when I wasn't working and then got me my car for mothers day last year. So it would be bitchy to tell him no (and not fair). He takes good care of us (and not to mention, I love the hell out of him) so I figure if he wants to get something than if I can help I will, if it's not something I can afford on my own, etc.

Vita sale looks pretty Meh overall. I'll probably grab one of the Altelier games though. Those seem to rarely drop on vita. Been wanting to try them out.

Cel Damage HD for 60 cents. I guess I should find out what that is.
You should just buy it, it is fun.

I like the art style, but I think I remember someone (frisky?) saying it plays like the shit.
Then he would be wrong. I found it fun. Especially for 60 cents for gods sake.

If anyone cares, you can get 2 sets of trophies in it too. The second set, if you play while logged into PSN the first time, takes very little time to get. The win 20 races or whatever will pop after 1 race for example.

Vita sale seems so-so. I own a good amount of them. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 should be a little cheaper. Jak & Daxter Collection is sucky on Vita from your guyses reports. Cel Damage is awful (at least when I tried it for 2 mins on my old modded xbox back in the day). Maybe I'll get Sumoni Demon Arts or whatever $3 seems like a decent breaking point for that. Earth Defense Force needs to be $6 or less too.

Damn. I need to start Atelier Rorona Plus for PS3 tonight. I picked it up for $20 at GS a couple weeks back since the Vita ones are digital only and it seemed lower risk. If I like the PS3 version I'll go ahead and buy all 3 of those since this is the lowest price they've ever been.

Not seeing much else of interest, though. Most of the other stuff has been on sale at better prices before. Maybe CoD if I didn't already have the physical for that.

You should put up a new thread here in the Off Topic forum begging for money. That seems to be the thing to do recently. At least your post would be honest and say it was for a PS4.

At least I am skeptical with people posting on a video game forum asking for money for sick animals or funeral expenses. Possibly I am just a heartless old fuck.
You aren't heartless, you just have a good bullshit detector. This is like the 4th different "life crisis" that guy has posted on here in the last year.

The 2nd and 3rd games were on sale last Golden Week, but at $20. Rorona has never been on sale and none of them have been lower than $20 before. Being digital only, tomorrow's a good time to grab at least one if you've an interest.

Cleaner,

I got an email saying nerd box is going to have an exclusive Groot figure.

I remember you mentioning the groot figures so thought you'd might like to know :)

Zimm, is Tiny Troopers worth $4?  It was a fun little twin stick shooter right?

EDIT: Shameless free plug for Zimm

I wish Spider-Man was like $5.  The game on PS3 was actually not that bad except for the PS2 graphics it had in cut scenes.  Gamefly does not carry it since I think the physical version was pretty rare.  I am just not sure I can pay $10 for it.

I know EVERYONE is getting Putty Squad, right?!?!?!

Kinda wishing I'd jumped on that $50 PSN for $40 eBay deal. There wasn't anywhere near enough in this week's sale to justify converting that much money to PSN credit, but next week's Vita sale would have done the trick if it does turn out I like Atelier.

I have a shit ton of points saved on my Playstation credit card.  I need to see if they have PSN cards available to buy.  A lot of times they are sold out!  fuck ers!

I bought Spider-Man at like $20....$9.60 isn't too bad at all. I remember there were reports of it being glitchy and had sound problems...but I didn't have any trouble playing through it. It sometimes aggravates me with a game like that and like a Sly 3 (which I just started) that more games aren't made from the ground up for Vita. Such a capable device.

I would say so. You get content of two full mobile games. Lots of missions. An endless wave mode. Some mobile controls came along to the experience as well, which is annoying buy not game breaking. Twin stick shooting isn't 1:1 with the right stick, just more of a general area suggestion.

My barrier for digital games is pretty low unless I think the kids are going to play it on the PS TV, it is a game I want and I know it would be a long term rental game to complete, or it is digital only. I am not sure they would play this, and since I have really already played the same game on PS3, $10 is just more than I think I want to spend.

For better or worse, I always think of prices of games in terms of how much Gamefly time would that get me. In this case, almost a full month of 2 at a time seems like the better way to go.

Cel Damage HD has 5 stars in the store. Definitely buying that for 60 pennies! It's also 3-way cross-buy and cross-save.

Didn't realize you played it on the PS3, I use the Vita more to catch up on stuff I haven't played yet. Not worth it for $10 then as it's the same exact game.

Unfortunately, I have not played the Vita version yet, but if New Little King's Story is as fun on the Vita as it was on the Wii then it will definitely be worth the $10.

If you like the Pikmin franchise, you should check out some videos and reviews.  It has a pretty similar game play.  It was on sale twice before for $9.79.  I bought it then but I have just not gotten to it yet.

So for all of you who have played Uncharted: GA, is the collectible guide necessary like it has been in the other Uncharted games?
I don't know if it still available, but on the store, you could purchase an add on for the game. Think it was .99 cents. Anyways, it was a collectables guide/map that integrated into the game and was accessible in Drakes Journal. Was worth it for me.

Dammit man. If you hadnt been crying into your pillow for the last few weeks you could have said this sooner!
