If they were to start giving us "light" versions of games for PS+ (ala Driveclub) then that would be some bullshit.
This is exactly the concern, though it seems extremely unlikely. Both because how much can you even strip down a $10 game and this is supposedly a reviewer playing the game in this screenshot. Why would they send reviewers codes for a stripped down version of the game?

I don't know if you meant to, but this made me laugh

I know it was super awkward, I was really embarrassed about it.

I just had this man SCREAMING at me, calling me an idiot asking me if I want to do a cavity search on him, etc...and it just made me cry afterwards unfortunately. Everyone was really nice about it though.
So? Did you do it?

It's an old James Bond joke, I don't remember the real school names tho.

'At Yale they taught us to wash our hands everytime we used the bathroom.' not james bond

'At Harvard they taught us not to piss on ourselves.' James Bond

but yeah, you should wash your hands with soap and water to help prevent the spread of infectious diseases.

I am ocd and wash my hands a few times. Just to be sure.

I don't drink but support the idea that adults should be able to do whatever they want to themselves.

The absurdity of consensual crimes in a free society.

SuperData did a report on digital sales.

TopUSDigitalConsoleByWWRevenue-Jan20151.0.jpg

WHERE’S FIFA 15?!

Good eye! We compiled this initial top 10 list by full game downloads in the United States, which is a starting point for several of our clients’ analyses. The table above then shows you the worldwide revenues for those titles, including both full game downloads and additional content. For that reason, FIFA 15 is not part of it; since it sold its full game predominantly via retail and its additional content revenue was not taken into consideration when compiling the US list. Worldwide, FIFA 15 earned $28.3 million in digital revenues in January, 93% of which was microtransaction-based.
And that's why EA has mad microtransations in their games. Damn, they make bank!

TopDigitalConsoleByWWRevenueBYPlatform-Jan2015.0.jpg

ALMOST HALF OF THE REVENUE FOR THE TOP DIGITAL GAMES CAME FROM THE PS4.
No surprise there given their market lead.

US ACCOUNTS FOR HALF THE REVENUE OF TOP 10 DIGITAL CONSOLE GAMES.

New generation games like Dying Light had 81% of its digital sales coming from America.

FYI, all these high score games seem to have this delay before your score shows up on the leaderboards issue. Not just PA. Don't panic if your score doesn't show up right away.
Ah but it didn't save locally either. I would've been fine with it not registering online if I could've just snapped a picture of local scores to show for the competition, but when both options seemed borked that's what really got me stomping. Glad it worked its way to the leaderboard though!

Also, to bookend your thoughtful TPA rebuttal, setting aside any consideration of bugs or UI or whatnot, my beef with TPA has never been about authenticity. You, Zimm, Peta, etc. are waaay more qualified to judge how realistic the virtual tables are compared to their real-world counterparts, as I've only ever played a handful of actual tables with any regularity (esp. Jurassic Park, my pinball true love).

No my chief beef is just with the soul-crushingly unfair difficulty of the vast majority of the tables, which I attribute to the gripes I listed before; gobbly outlanes, huge center flippers gap, lack of bang back, etc. If TPA's tables are even easier than the real ones that's even more mind-boggling to me. Why shut out like 90% of your player base from being able to do most of/everything on a given table?

You'd be well within your rights to simply say "Git gud noob!" and lord knows I've tried over the last few years. But that's where the contrast with Zen comes into play: Zen's tables are way more generous with outlane saves, ball savers, bang backs, easier flipper pass, and even then their tables are still really tough. But they feel like a fair tough to me, whereas TPA's game overs often feel largely out of my hands.

As I've said before, I'm really glad that both companies exist and have a different approach to things. Diversity is always good. I just wish that 1) FarSight would clean up their engine significantly and 2) that sitting down to play TPA didn't so often feel like sitting down to play 40+ different pinball equivalents of Vanquish Challenge 6.

Started up Transistor. Definitely enjoying the atmosphere of the game. Not as sure about the gameplay yet. Might not end up finishing this one before the month is up, just doesn't seem like the kind of game that lends itself to marathon sessions. Maybe if I break up play sessions on Saturday or something. Fun, just not "play for hours on end" fun, especially not coming straight off of Dust.

I'm so much better at games than Cro and Pharm. I got all the Resogun challenges done on my first try, while I was half asleep.

I still have 10 most wanted races left including needlepoint and like 50 collectibles. Probably won't make the plat in February but I'll keep plugging away. I wonder if burnout will seem easier now.

I am the best and by far smartest person in the thread and you should all bow down and worship me for saving you from the regular PSN thread dreck!  Though I have to admit I'm getting sick of hanging around some of you idiots.

beat escape goat 2 tonight, 3 down for 4 for feb...I'm at the last boss in rogue legacy and I dont think I will get it done

It only took me 3 tries to get the first boss in Uncharted finished on Crushing.  I think it would have been one try if not for those strange have U shaped moves that caught me completely off guard.

I thought it would be smooth sailing.  Then I got to the final boss.  WTMF?!?!?  It seems like on that one you have to do the move before the first arrow starts to go away.  What an absolute shitty way to end a very good game.  Touch controls in gaming rank right up there with motion controls when implemented this poorly.

I've not started Transistor yet, but Bastion (by the same people) started out pretty lackluster. It wasn't until later in the game and I'd upgraded the weapons quite a bit that the combat and gameplay started to get fun. Not sure if Transistor is the same way, but give it some time.

Thread bitching works again with an assist from the PS3T forums. I could not get past the first handful of QTEs without failing at first. I read on there that people who had issues started doing the swipe motion multiple times each time it came up. Apparently, if you get any one to register it works (which I should have known after my reply to Vig this morning). Without that, I am not sure I would have gotten it to work since I was always failing early even though I was doing the motion.

Glad that is done. Now just some grinding kills and other clean up.

Before: Sweetwater 420 Extra Pale - this was passable. Nothing great

Now: Troegs Perpetual IPA - good stuff!
I didn't even know Sweetwater distributed that far north as of yet. 420 is an OK pale ale, but nothing special. SW IPA if fresh is really really good. If you ever look at their bottles in a liquor store, the best before date is 3 months after bottling. Do not bother getting the IPA unless that date is at least 2 months out. It is great in the first month, after that the hops are not as prominent.

And I wrapped up the shard trophy in DA:I as well, leaving only a Nightmare Speed-run for the plat.  I think I'll take advantage of Best Buy's $32 TIV for it this weekend though, and rent it some weekend down the road.

From what I remember I enjoyed Bastion the whole way through. I think its just the different style gameplay for this game. With it not being straight action it feels kind of slow. Not necessarily a bad thing, just different when all I've been playing for the last few days are Dust and Monster Hunter. I'm enjoying the game overall, I probably just won't play it for more than an hour or so at a time.

I had never even heard of Sweetwater until this showed up. So I guess they just started distributing here.
