Some people buy digital games for $60 or more. Just think of that and you'll feel better.
I almost broke down and bought one of the Atelier games for the Vita (if the store had updated an hour later I would have) but I just couldn't look past that $16 price point.

Probably helps my restraint that I've already spent the money I got back for Sherlock on a physical copy of One Piece for the Vita.

Oh. Grimoire score.

You got the plat, 3 characters at 32, all the exotics you want, and now you are grinding Grimoire score.

You have a problem bro.

Nah. I just really like Destiny. My favorite parts of games are grinding things out like levels, exp, etc.

Plus I can play it at work more easily than most games since I'm at the point where I can do things with my eyes closed. I'm fully aware that I play it a lot, but I don't really have a strong urge to play anything else, as I'm not bored by it yet. I'm also fully aware that 5-6 months from now, I'll probably be the only one here actually still playing it.

But don't worry, I'll still talk to you guys about it and annoy pharm even more than usual if that happens.

One game I reeeeeally don't like is Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate. I just finished the mine levels, and every level feels like such a chore. Unfortunately, I'm at that point where I feel like I've come too far to quit and I refuse to start anything else on vita until I finish it.

Shit. Bloodborne and Borderlands out the same day. Battlefield Hardline out the week before. Still have AC:U and LBP3 pretty much unplayed. Guess I shouldnt get all 3 at launch. Anything big out in april or may?

Witcher 3 in May.

Batman in June.

I had my fill of BF Hardline a day into the beta.

I'm hoping Borderlands will find its way into Best Buy's $10 promo so I can justify buying it at launch instead of borrowing a last gen copy of TPS from a friend.

walked by a star wars black series jabba figure on my way out. really need to stop walking by the toys section. was gonna buy it, but scanner said it was $40. ended up finding a black series old yoda for $3 on clearance though. checked walmart's site for jabba, and it's listed as $18, but no store pickup available within 50 miles...what?

Might just hold off on borderlands unless I have people to play it with. Will likely keep hardline for MP

Dang. Curt Schilling got some nasty trolling after announcing his daughter was going to college to play softball.

Here's a sample:

I've never really liked him, but nobody deserves to hear that about their daughter.
Apparently he found out some of their info and at least 2 guys have faced consequences. One was suspended and the other fired.

Speaking of this evening, Pancakes and Kilik say they are down for Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare. Anyone else? I'll be on around 9 EST, but no need to wait on my account.

Edit: Am I friends with you guys, by the way? Let me try to look into that. My PSN is MPaullin, FYI
I can play in a couple hours.

Papo Y Yo is a quick play and more about the experience than the actual gameplay which is pretty simple (though visually interesting) puzzle solving. Tossing your robot pal to activate switches and move platforms, moving cardboard boxes which are linked to large objects (so when you move the box it moves a house for example), moving a giant pipe like a snake to reach various platforms, or appealing to the baser urges of the monster to get him to do what you need to progress. It's like a Brazilian sweding of Journey, that's also a metaphor for the end of a difficult childhood.

Overall I enjoyed it, though I think it would have worked better as a 10-12 minute animated short. It forces a second playthrough to get all the trophies though since you can't collect any of the 25 hats in the initial playthrough.
Damn, I didn't know about the 2 playthrough thing. I was hoping for a 1 and done sort of game.

I'm digging the list this month. I already completed Valiant Hearts on XB1 but don't mind playing it again. It has really easy trophies.

I've always wanted to try the Sherlock Holmes games so that's a nice surprise. And I'm happy about OlliOlli 2, CounterSpy and Oddworld.

Papo and Yo doesn't take too long actually despite the 2 playthroughs. I remember I took longer only because I would only play for little like 10 minute bursts at a time.

Pete & Zimm, I got far enough in Freedom Wars to unlock multiplayer, so I'm up for co-op whenever you guys are. Maybe we should just use the CAG Boosting Planning sheet?

I'm probably going to play a round tonight just to figure out how it works around 7-7:30 CST. Then it's helldivers time.

Mad Max details, courtesy of IGN quoting from GameInformer: http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/03/03/new-mad-max-gameplay-details-emerge?abthid=54f642a87a53ca4e30000031

Survival within the map's borders will also be challenging. Food and water, which are both used to replenish Max's health, will be scarce. When you're low on health and out of food, Avalanche suggests you look toward the sky for circling birds. Birds will fly over nearby decomposing bodies, which are covered with maggots. Luckily for Max, maggots are a good source of protein. Rodents can also be consumed for health, since this world has "absolutely no" vegetation, and very little life.
...

As far as moment-to-moment gameplay goes, the on-foot combat is similar to that seen in the Batman Arkham series, in that it's based on rhythmic button presses, counter-attacks, and rolling away to dodge.
I NEED THIS NOW

Ugh, now everyone's going to run the batman combat into the ground. Don't get me wrong, it's good. Too much of a good thing in the other hand
I agree that we still need to see it in action, but this is Avalanche Studios we're talking about. Sure, they're not exactly known for combat, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

If (big IF) the next DLC is good I could see me playing Destiny again for weeks after it comes out again. Nice to play some other stuff though. I haven't found any other co op type game that I like better. And I do like co op games. Maybe Borderlands 2 remastered after it drops in price. I played a lot of that on XBox 360 and PS3.

Purchased Helldivers, but can't be on until 10ish eastern. Anyone going to be on then?

I think I'm friends with everybody, but if not send me a friend request.

Man people are stupid. Don't they get that doing this crap online with your real name can and does effect you in real life? Reminds me of some computer trade show or something where 2 or 3 guys made a few off color comments around a woman (can't recall if they were directed at her or not). She got loud with them and they took it to twitter and several of them lost their jobs.

Some people have no common sense or at least don't know when to STFU.

Actually, in that story it was the woman who took a picture of them and posted it to twitter to try to publicly shame them for making some jokes about dongles or something to each other. Then she went to the event organizers to get them thrown out. She never spoke to them at all.

One of the guys got fired. Then she got fired for posting this shit on twitter.

Thanks for the correction. You are right she didn't confront them.
