I'm thinking that I'm going to spend the $400 I would use for a PS4 on an Apple Watch instead.

Thoughts?

I'm somehow within striking distance of the wren/Tyler/pancakes cluster on true trophies with just a bit over 13k between the four of us. Thanks local library!

Picked up the doa5 plat this morning. That game is great and I'll definitely pick up a copy cheap someday.
"Somehow" = playing games non-fucking-stop!

Diablo 3 people: Keep getting stuck on the 3rd stage of the Belial fight on whatever difficulty is the highest for 1st playthrough. Any thoughts? I'm running a monk about lvl 50 I think. I switched over to the healing mantra and the breath of heaven active heal skill and it helps a little once he gets pissed off and constantly spams the green AoE attack, but I still die before I can get him down to the last 1/3 of his health bar. About to just give up and drop the difficulty for this one lol.
dropping the difficulty, or getting someone to help are pretty much your only options. i think i had a little trouble there too, and no amount of tweaking my skills would get me passed it.

Yeah PSNOT is not good both because its not an appealing name and nobody besides the few folks here know what it is.

If you guys have better ideas then Inverted Access Gaming please share.
I actually like Inverted Access. Sure, it doesn't necessarily reflect the control scheme choices for everyone involved, but it is gaming related, pretty unique, and from what sites I can think of, doesn't have the same initials as the major sites. If you wanna keep the PSNOT UnCAGed thing going, it would actually work pretty well as like a title for a weekly column kinda thing. Maybe sony related news or offerings or w/e.

Yeah, was looking around online as well and those are looking like my best options. I just can't get any damage in if I'm running around the arena the whole time trying not to get 2hit ko'd. I'll probably give it another shot, my best run had him at 1/3 health solo, but I'll probably end up dropping the difficulty.

if you're not opposed to having help, just let me know. the bosses only become more of a pain playing solo.

Yeah, I wanted to ask about that. You're safe though I assume? Sucks anyways, hopefully they'll move on to greater things.
So far so good. But I'm a contractor, so not sure if I can be part of the mass exodus or not anyway.

But a cool dude that sits behind me is packing up now (but in good spirits) and a team leader that I worked with at a previous job just walked out after a round of hugs. People knew they were coming soon, but it's still weird and hard and awkward when they come. Especially when we thought our team was not going to see any of the cuts.

Its always hard.  I have had to make the tough decision on who gets to stay and who gets to go several times the last few years.  People think the managers dont care but we always think it through thoroughly and thankfully I have yet to see someone lose their jobs over spite or personal differences.   It has always come down to who does the best job and who helps the teams the most in my department.

What would upset me more is why did a new guy just start yesterday if they are going to be cutting today?  This is why I hate working for large companies, they get so damn big that logic seems to be completely lost on them.

If they were logical, then you would definitely be safe.  If you are a contractor you do not have a loaded cost like all the people who have benefits.  Somehow, they decide that the contractors are always the first to be let go.  As someone who has never done the contracting thing, I am glad they are stupid like that.  At the same time, if it was really cost cutting they were going for, it doesn't seem to line up with the goal they claim they are going for.

Living in town with sprint makes a person a little numb to large workforce cuts, but it's still weird. I actually know a couple people that have been laid off from there two or more times, twice in two years for one. They also give decent severance so I guess for some it's worth the risk.

Yeah new guy that started is contractor as well. And he's more replacing a position that left a month or so ago. But yeah it's still super awkward for the new guy.

Severance package is 15 weeks of pay plus more based on years of services, in addition to company paid benefits for 6 months and job finding help.

Is it the Target one I just read about?
That's the one.

Maybe this is a more recent thing. I have a 42" and it has 4. I checked checked all TVs in the 40s on Best Buy and Targets website and it seems like most have 2 and a handful have 3. I guess the Wii u doesn't always need to be plugged in.

Never had a problem with picture quality. It also just goes to which ever thing is powered on.

Looks like it's official:

Paid $5 on PSN and already finished. I'm ahead of the curve for once!

Huge stack of like 20-30 PS3 Dishonored GH editions (not GOTY) on clearance at Target for $3-something.  Makes me regret paying $10 more to unwrap it 6 months ago or whatever.

Finished up to unlocking the Trials Trophy in Trials Fusion (which unlocks a trophy and the final set of extreme levels) and got the 24 gold medals. Game  really jumped up in difficulty once you learned the bunny hop. Gonna do some of the misc trophies and then probably play the DLC before I try any of the really hard shit.

Played some rogue legacy at lunch.

Had best run ever and got 4k gold. I think I only have 1 more thing to put a point in on the tower to get trophy for that (spelltheif upgrade I think) edit: looked and I need a few more than that one still too

Also bought another rune and got trophy for having rune in every slot active.

I like the game, its pretty addicting, but I suck at it so not sure how much more i'll play it.

I was a bit surprised that anyone got that reference other than you. Then again, I assume they read the articles about the layoff like I did.
Articles I;ve read blamed the recent layoffs on Target closing all its stores in Canada as well as a tough time recovering from it's data breach last year. (It said they had a good holiday season, though)

Got home last night. I took today off to rest so I only have a 2 day work week.

Having a handheld is amazing at cons since you spend a lot of time waiting in lines for panels and to play games. While on the plane and at PAX East I managed to beat CounterSpy. I also started the original OlliOlli. Both of those games are fun. I've also put in more time with Rogue Legacy and have beaten all the bosses on my second playthrough. I feel like those remix bosses are impossible, but will try them on PS4 instead of Vita.

Today I might splurge on Hotline Miami 2 on PSN and Ori on XB1 since I love HLM1 and Ori looks amazing. I still need to start FC4. That yeti DLC looks cool too. We'll see. I need to be a cheapass again, but getting my tax return makes me want to treat myself lol.

At PAX East I forgot that I went to the Just Cause 3 panel. That was fun. Major Nelson's panel was alright. The Gearbox panel was fun. That Dance Central character DLC is ridiculous and awesome.

I got to play a few more games. I've avoided MOBAs but Gigantic looked fun so I played that and enjoyed it. I hit up the indie mega booth. There was some single stick roguelike dungeon crawler that was pretty cool. I'll have to look up the name. Then I played some weird sword game that sucked. Also, a little space game. I don't remember any names so I'm not being helpful at all.
