Cainiac hooked me up and we got the super tank last night. good stuff.

he also made me put 6 research points into the recoiless rifle, but apparently its the shit

Awesome! Of course now its going to be even easier to blast through the higher levels. I wonder if they will add 13 and beyond soon?

 
I played a bit of that Ori game last night. It is pretty great. I think Microsoft published it so chances of it going to PS are pretty slim. Maybe it's coming to 360 for those of you who have one?

Didn't Cleaner just give us a story from the dev on how the publisher still forced them to release before it was ready after pulling a lot of stuff out of the game? So no, it doesn't just apply to Nintendo.

 
So for an Amazon trade-in can I send in my black gamecube without the box and game (acceptable) for the Zelda bundle and get that trade-in price? I'm assuming that's what happened with the other trade at $117 or did Amazon just go crazy?

Gator, they are having that special thing tonight at Mr Dunderbaks for Tampa Bay Beer Week.  Have you ever heard of how crowded these beer week things get?  Or about Mr Dunderbaks crowds?

First of all, that value isn't available right now, so you would have to wait for the next opportunity.

Anyway, you would need to lock in the trade-in price like usual, but warning: NorAm (the company that actually processes the trade-ins; Amazon's just the go-between) is incredibly stingy when it comes to Gamecube console-bundle trades. Many people have reported their consoles being rejected despite sending in the exact same things that someone else might have had accepted. Avenged's resolution is definitely not the typical one.

Amazon was giving a high TIV for the platinum Gamecube with Melee bundle. It's down to $70ish right now (less for Acceptable) but keep an eye out for it. Not sure about other bundles right now.

Edit: Vig'd. It's really a luck of the draw, I wouldn't invest too much into it.

Purchased Flame Over. $7.99 poorer for it. Not bad at all. Also grabbed Mighty Flip Champs DX for free. Flame Over now has 5 stars in the store.

Thanks for the info. I have a black boxed (pretty much brand new) system. I was thinking of submitting it as a zelda gamecube bundle without the bundled game (acceptable) for $58 which is the current rate. It sounds like a coin toss on whether or not they would go for it though. I guess in this case I might be better off going to ebay with it.

Ive been to them. Many of them are elbow to elbow. Luckily you are still early in the week so all the people coming in for Hunahpu Day on Saturday won't be around yet. Hopefully you will be OK.

You need to check if Rapp is doing anything special. If so, you should check it out too. Or send me the details and let me see if I think you would like it at least.

Looks like Rapp is doing some things over in Pinellas county. Too far for me to bother. The Brass Tap in Wesley Chapel near me is tapping 4 of their beers tomorrow though. So I may go there and try it. We will see about tonight but the good thing is Mr Dunderbak has awesome German food so I can at least have dinner there.

Once we got the walker I dont think we have used the tank/car other than for the 4 player trophy. Dont bother upgrading it.

Upgrade the walker, the healing gun and that rifle that Caniac likes I think. Also that shield. Not sure what else to do yet.

I want the tank so I can get the run over a bug trophy. I don't have it. I also don't have multikill and a bunch of other ones that probably should be easy. Like finish a level in 5 minutes.

I don't have the healing gun either.

I upgraded that beam weapon because I hate managing ammo and I kept getting on teams that would accidentally blow up my walkers. Otherwise I have the walker and healing gun maxed.

Apparently I suspended my vita during the event so I now have an infinite number of double xp (offline) games, so I'm just trying to catch up a bit today in hopes that they fix some of the issues soon and I can roll with the cool kids.

You guys have the awesome tank already? That's my next goal it since it seems necessary for the level 11/12 stuff (I guess outside of the event last night). I found that my walker went quick in those levels.

the shredder missile is a tactical nuke, but i don't have that yet.

iv got recoilless rifle upgraded and can start upgrading the big tank

 
also the distraction beacon cainiac was using is awesome and i was throwing slow motion fields which is great if everyone is in a mech/tank... not so good if you are trying to get to extraction

WTF. Guess I need to get around to playing those games then. Worst part though is that if something happens to your Vita or you change to a new model or something you'll lose access to all that stuff even if it's still on your memory card because it won't be activated for PSM.

I was looking at that today - it's pretty effective? Seems like it'd be useful to try for that no alarms trophy. If they decided to have multiple factions on a planet (eg bugs and cyborgs) it'd be fun to lure them to each other too.

We hooked each other up. Cyborg missions at that level are impossible with randoms who pack nothing but mechs and want to fight everything and never move. Fortunately our two pickups were at least listening on the mic. Clearly wanted the tank as much as us, haha.

The recoiless rifle upgraded is fantastic. You neat thing is the backpack it comes with. You can carry it yourself for 6 extra shots that can be refilled at ammo drops. Even better, you can make a teammate carry the pack and they can reload you instantly by pressing X on you rather the 6 second or so reload it has when you do it yourself.

I fully upgraded the first before getting the big boy, and had enough to fully upgrade big boy as soon as we got it last night. The first one is signifigantly faster but the the second is far more protected and its top cannon can take out armored units. If you're just moving from objective to objective as fast as possible the first one isn't bad.

I consider the rifle an absolute necessity on the the high end Cyborg missions. You need to deal with the tanks quickly and efficiently at capture points and its best fit for the job. You can manage bug missions without it and the Illuminate don't really have a heavy unit.

I did the same with the beam weapon but if I'm going to be running recoiless rifle I'll probably start using something else since I'll have ammo drops on as well.

The walkers get chewed pretty bad on any higher difficulity. They can still be great, you just need a dedicated healer. Thats the role I generally play online since randoms tend to go mech crazy and stock nothing but the mech in all 4 slots. You really need a healer for every high mission with a vehicle honestly. My heal gun never leaves my stratagems generally. I heal the tanks to full every time I step out of them.

That beacon is legit when placed well. The first 60 seconds of our extraction on the Tank mission last night was completely quiet. Enemies rolled in at the 20 second mark, too little too late.

From what I've read, there some people who have solo'd Helldives with the scout drone and distractor beacon.

That destructible statue is cool and a must. A lot of the stuff seems super expensive though. I'll go for maybe the steel book or Rico flaming diorama. The backpack isn't bad since I need a new one for cons, but I can easily buy a cheap one.

The dev said Gearbox came in, cut most of the campaign content that was already finished and then tacked on multiplayer. Didn't DNF have DLC? Wouldn't doubt it if they cut it just to sell it separately. Also makes me want the behind the scenes of Gearbox and that Aliens game.
