As long as they kept the multiplayer trophies as optional and not required for any plats, I wouldn't mind it all that much.

I honestly think they could knock out most of book 4 and 5 this season. While they are both long books not a whole hell of a lot happens. There's a lot of new characters introduced, but the show has been really good about trimming the fat and I don't expect we will see a lot of them. I expect we will be in uncharted territory next season.

Helldivers is still lots of fun, but I really think they should nerf the mechs. Getting guns isn't as fun because we hardly need to use them anyway. Maybe that impression is stilted by that event yesterday being so easy at level 12. Maybe harder level 12s and we'd be losing mechs left and right. I don't know.

I should have worded that differently. I am fine with it being remastered. Let Sony do whatever they want to make money. I just wouldn't play it if it included all the MP in the plat like almost every remaster seems to do.
I love the series and would like to replay them. However, as much as I love the series is how much I hate multiplayer. Take MP and add in random drops and it becomes a big fat no.

Also I tried out that new headset (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006PP3ZK6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and it was worth every little penny. The sound quality of music and game audio is just OK, but used just for chat (I set it to chat only and only used the left one, played game sound through the TV) the chat is much clearer and easier to hear then the packin ear bud. Also no impression that it's going to fall out. That's how I was planning to use it anyway. Not sure how I sounded to you guys.

If Last of Us is any indication I wouldn't see them doing it. I mean they actually made the trophies easier in the remastered, so i could see them recycling the exact same list with all the "DLC" MP add ons as Uncharted 2 and 3
I use that pack in mic semi frequently to play GTA with my buddy and he's never had trouble hearing me. I dunno what was going on last night. I'm not opposed to spending money on a better one as long as it's a little bit of money. Any recommendations?

I still dont know why we dont all have Golds though. They work great for chat, game sound and everything and there is a slider to adjust chat vs game sounds.

It's hard to make enough progress to be able to upgrade your character at the beginning, so the only 'progress' made is learning how to play better. It's pretty tough early on and there could have been a little more direction for what you can/should do, but the mo you play, the mo better you get.
I really want a game in this style that isn't rogue-like now though.

I was afraid that was going to happen yesterday. By the time I got home from work on Monday and wiped my PS4 it was like 9:10pm not enough time to get to the GS in the mall that is open till 9:30pm. Then I had someone coming by the house in the morning yesterday so couldn't get to GS till like noon yesterday but it went smoothly and got the full value.
I assume the new GS promotion starts a week from today (a years PS+ included with PS4 purchase)? I have enough points for a $10 off coupon at GS. Hopefully it doesn't exclude consoles.
Nah they will get 2 seasons out of those 2 books. The way the story is going, at least in the books, there is some key stuff in book 4
aint all the jon connington and the boy stuff in book 4? kinda hard to remember whats in what book, but pretty sure thats right. all the the stuff with house greyjoy and martell play in as well, theres a lot that could be cut sure but a lot of it is key parts to the story as well.
I just dont see them doing all the stuff in 4 and 5 in one season, besides they have to draw it out to wait on the next book as fans would be SUPER pissed if martin gave the show details from book 6 to make that season on the show before the damn book was released.

Well they already know how the whole story is supposed to go. They've already said that some characters are going to die this season who are still alive in the book. Whoever those people end up being are probably going to die soon in the book or are just unimportant later. I'm sure there will be material from books 4/5 next season, but I also think some characters will burn through their story within a season and we will start seeing not-yet-written stuff for them. I'm also curious what will be the "big event" that happens near the end of the season. Maybe
Daenerys flying away on a dragon?
Looks really similar to the pack in mic, but if you think it is a significant improvement I'll probably pick it up.
Ugh, I forgot about that. Maybe Ubisoft is an exception to the rule and just tends to suck sometimes regardless of delays?

I dont think Watch Dogs was broken. It just wasn't all that fun. I think there is a big difference there. No matter how long you work on a game, the gameplay may just not be very fun. If you can't even work out the real issues to be able to even really see how the game play is, it is a much larger issue.
I interpreted jimbo's post as saying WD not being fun meant that it isn't good, not that it was broken. Fun games tend to be good, after all.
The sound quality of chat is much better/clearer and it doesn't feel like it's going to fall out. You can use it for stereo game audio if you want, but I don't. I just use the left side (if you set it to chat only the audio comes through the left headphone, but of course you could then put it in whichever ear you prefer).
FYI, it is an "in-ear canal" headset. It goes into your ear, rather than just outside of your ear. This might take a little getting use to if you've never used headphones like that before.

Ultra is kind of a let down for me after playing geometry wars 3. Even though i vastly preferred gw3, I still felt like delta was the better of the two ss games. Something about ultra feels like it was released 8 years ago. It barely feels like a fresh coat of paint on the original. I think almost no one agrees with me though, so grain of salt etc etc.

I am saying that if it hadn't been delayed, it probably would have been broken. That would have been a lot worse than it just not being very fun.
I have GW 3 on my list too for sure. I did see that Ultra is basically the same as the PS3 game. But I am a sucker for pretty things, even if its just a little bit prettier.
I just realized that that quote also implies Duke Nukem Forever was good, but wasn't that broken and not fun? Maybe it just applies to Nintendo games.

Hopefully they adjust the event that we did last night so we have a chance to defend the capital or whatever. And of course allow cross play/chat etc they said they would have that hasnt worked since the beginning.

Depending on where this season goes it might be my last until the books are finished then. Show sucks compared to the books to me and show has let me down on numerous occasions with scenes from books that were changed or handled poorly in my opinion and were way better in the books.

There's probably a correlation as to how long a delay versus how good it is. I'll steal from the Hot and Crazy Scale: a game can be delayed x long and be y good to try and stay above the Buried in a New Mexico Landfill line. So DNF, high on the x but low on the y = buried.
I am a full-on superior-acting elitist GoT book reader, but there is something funny about TV viewers being able to pay back years of book readers spoiling shit for them.
But honestly, the best book by far was the third. I think the magic is gone in the series. We'll see.

Book 5 is pretty good too on its own, but if you take and read book 4 integrated with book 5 (there are guides online as to what chapters to read in what order) then its pretty decent. Still not book 3 levels, but better than 1 and 2.
I didn't think of this. That is funny. I read through the books after watching two seasons of the show, so I'm much less indignant about changes made to the book. Of course the books are better, but I've actually liked a lot of the tweaks that were made.
