Here's some gameplay

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQ76PG8RSbE

I do not know why I can not remember to avoid looking at the trophies while playing a game on the PS3. Unless I am really quick and get back to the game it always locks the PS3.

I am busy hoping there were auto-saves in Gat out of Hell while I wait on the PS3 to check the file system. It really is amazing how much the PS3 seems like a POS compared to the PS4.
Well it does allow viewing of the offline trophy list that I wish the ps4 could do.

God damn it. Had this queue'd up in another tab, but I'm an hour late! 14 likes right down the drain! You bastard!

You couldn't play the game at all?

I'm really digging the recoiless rifle. Tried a no alarms level 7 run earlier today but the alarm kept going off at the extraction.
I can't wrap my head around how to do this, it seems impossible solo and even harder with a team. I'm sure if I didn't suck so bad it would help. I'd think having turrets at extraction would help, but you'd have to have at least two up before shit gets nuts.

Edit - I could play, just couldn't join any teams. The vita version is a little broken. A lot of times the mp list was mostly 4/4 teams too.

Well I think two people would be perfect. One would constantly look at the map and callout and the other would lead.

That seems better. with a full team the alarms always seem to go off out of the fov. It'd probably help to be on the ps4 too, seems the controls are a bit better there. But alas I can't cross save anymore either! Maybe I'll try to sync it in the morning when things are quieter.

yeah i got distract beacon also. this tank is a beast. im gonna go work out and ill be back on in an hour or 2. iv been trying to do gta heists also but its damn tough to even get on rockstar servers now...

@Zimm How far are you in Flame Over? Are those stupid ladies the only way to get coins for upgrades? So far I haven't been able to collect any so all of my money seems to go to waste.[/quote]
I was able to eventually clear the first floor of the first level last night. Thought that would unlock the second location, but it just gave me another office level.

And yeeah you need to finish missions for Miss Ion to get tokens to unlock buying stuff. After you unlock shit to buy, you can use all the pounds you've collected in the level. And yeah it's very annoying to see all those coins go to waste. Especially when the items start so high in cost.

Flame Over tips straight from the dev in my review code email:
GENERAL HINTS:
 Stand back from fires. If the Danger Meter around Blaze fills up you’ll lose a heart.
 Use the CIRCLE button to throw water bombs which work on both normal and electrical
fires.
 To complete a level you must put all fires out. An exit message will appear when you do. If
there’s even a sliver of read on your thermometer there’s a fire.
 Use your thermometer to find the fires.
 Use the map to find the quickest way to the power room and get the electricity turned off.
STAT!”
 Be sure to cycle between your active powerups using the left and right directional buttons.
 Rescuing people gives you an extra minute of time.
 Rescuing cats restores one heart to your health.
 If you’re getting hurt you can always leave the room and regenerate health.
 Use your map (SELECT button) to look for the power room (lighting icon on map) ASAP.
 Smokey grey fires are electrical fires. They can only be put out with the extinguisher.
 Turning off the power kills off all electrical fires.
 If you soak an area with your hose, fire takes longer to spread there!
 The extinguisher is VERY effective, but doesn’t soak objects, so be sure to follow up with a
squirt of the hose.
 You don’t HAVE to rescue people or cats or complete missions. Sometimes being quick is
more important, especially in your early game.
 You must complete missions for Miss Ion to earn upgrade tokens. Use these at the Upgrade
screen to unlock each upgrade category. Upgrade Tokens will be retained between games.

Did you read it to the end? His review is very confusing as he goes on from how it is a whole pile of shit. Praises some points and really doesn't seem to go on why it is evidently bad. He complains about the lack of depth of story and then the whole grind of playing multiple playthroughs (but that isn't new for Japan). In the conclusion he contradicts himself by saying how it was just a decent game compared to his original statement. I'm going to expect Mind Zer0 level of work here so I'll be fine with that.

The whole plot seems fairly interesting even though it doesn't go that deep. The combat seems to be effective so that's always a plus.

Enough therming around, I would get this day one if Bestbuy didn't go out of the vita business.
He is not very good at writing, the opening paragraph if you were skimming it would make you think that he thinks the game is EVEN worse than the piles of shit he has played from the developer (another dimension of awfulness). But what he is ACTUALLY saying if you read carefully, that the developer HAS put out some real turd nuggets in the past, but this is much better, that it's like night and day the difference in quality, and the reason is that it is published by them, but was made by a different developer. In that paragraph he was trying to say that he likes the game despite the developers bad track record, but the wording is too ambiguous.

I just waited in a room full of neon sprems until the statue of a woman I was holding became pregnant, then dropped into a room meant to look like a uterus so I could pause my game, making my character fall asleep and earning a trophy.

La-Mulana is weird.

And oh yeah, #PromNight

The 100 Season 2 done, really, really good. The second season shed pretty much the last hint of its teen, CW-ness drama which was most prevalent in the first 1/3 of the first season for some dark, dark, sci-fi material. Solid all the way through.

Played a little of Saints Row 4 finally.  Used the Golds.  Going to make gaming in the morning much more enjoyable.  Don't have to put the volume way down low and miss half the dialog anymore.

I'm almost done getting all the stars in the OlliOlli 1 amateur levels. The game is really fun. I'm in the final set with neon levels and it's awesome running one combo through the entire level. I really look forward to playing OlliOlli 2 once I beat this.

For anyone who has played it, how crazy hard are the pro levels? Vig, I know you have both plats. For anyone who isn't Vig what did you think too? I'm afraid his skills are much higher than mine and want a normal person's opinion :p

finally found a copy for rent at the video store, and have joined the super elite platinum club.

fantastic game, definitely does not deserve the hate it got. lack of replayability would be my only complaint about the game. i have a feeling that the story isn't quite over though.

La-Mulana recreated the scene just now:

I didn't think I'd want to play La-Mulana EX so much, but I really, really do.

When it comes to pulling off the score challenges, always try to spin between grinds (hold L/R while doing a midair trick) and do as many different grinds as possible in a single combo. It also might sound obvious, but you need to pull off perfect grinds and landings to maximize your scores.

I can't really help with the other kinds of challenges that involve grinding/jumping over/collecting specific objects because those depend on timing and the given level's layout.

Yeah, I'm basically doing all that. I'm having trouble on this one neon level but that's because I couldn't get the timing right and my fingers are getting tired. Might be time to call it a night for now and beat it tomorrow.

Nevermind, just beat the level with 5 stars.I have the last 2 neon levels left and a few other base levels to go back and finish getting 5 stars on. I think I'll try one more...

That game was a piece of shit on NES. I remember if you bullshit too much between events you got chased and killed by a fuckin tumbleweed

Oh shit. Struggled to get 600K then I finished the level with a single combo and got over a million. Last level. This is more fun than Tony Hawk to me. I can do that 2D.

Does anyone happen to have Gat Out of Hell PS3? I just realized it has a play 3 hours in co-op trophy.  I really don't want to have to play it with some random.

Probably just gonna get some more of the easy DLC trophies in Trials Fusion and put it away. Shit's fun, but pretty frustrating and will probably take hours and hours to get good enough to do some of the harder challenges and stuff. Wouldn't be surprised if it's the hardest game to get all trophies in on the ps4, though.  Maybe Vig should play it. I heard he likes challenges.

Loved it on the NES plus Skate or Die/Sk8 or Die 2.
Yeah, I unno. The events on 720 were pretty lame, maybe I just didn't know how to play em. Slalom was whatever. Just move through shit. The half pipe was straight trash. I think the other two were like doing tricks on a downhill course and then one that was the same with bigger ramps. Skate or die was at least playable and more fun for me and Skate or Die 2 was interesting when they went all side scroller RPG with it, lol.

Liked for the Skate or Die. 720* was still great.

Hey Simmias if you never checked out Instant Death, its Dave from Ween on Bass and Scott Byrne (R.I.P.) on Drums. I got to see them play 3 nights in a row w/ The Sound of Urchin and it was fantastic show. I was fortunate to meet Dave and Scott after the shows and party w/ Dave. Less than 6 months after I saw them Scott Byrne unfortunately died. I did get Dave and Scott to sign my cd so thats always a plus.

Also Velo I just heard this band Tame Impala and they are great psychedelic music.

I think everybody here will enjoy the opening to this fantastic video:

looks like they fixed a bunch of stuff, I can join games, full games filtered out by default, cross save seems to work again. Hopefully cross play with friends works, I'll see tonight.

Played a level 10 with some scrappy randoms today who just wouldn't give up no matter how beat up we got. We hovered on the verge of full team wipe for like 6 straight minutes. somehow we made an epic comeback and got to extraction with no strategems left and one guy in a mostly sunk walker. I don't understand how, but we survived three tanks on us with no anti tank weapons and a boatload of other robots chasing us around, the extraction jet lands on two of the tanks and half the rabble, and we survive.

Truly an excellent game.

I have it, but I wasn't planning on playing it until after I platted SR4. I want to focus on platting MGS4 and Vanquish right now, but I suppose I could move SR4 up the backlog a bit.

FYI, I don't usually have 3-hour blocks of game time available, so it would take at least 2 sessions to get that trophy if we partnered up.

Thats pretty awesome. I was playing with Pancakes, Velo and Munky last night and we kept getting destroyed. It didnt help that I was having a hard time staying awake. I eventually had to leave in the middle of the second mission on the planet. I just couldnt stay up anymore.

Then I am woken up this morning because technology didnt get a few files from our providers. Ugh.
