Here's some online information for Bloodborne.

Co-Op

Up to three players can group up together online, with the objective being to defeat the boss in the area (guest players receive a word upon success).

A game is started when the host player uses the “Hunter Calling Bell” item to call other hunters. Likewise, the guest players use the “Resonant Bell” item to join another person’s game. Once connected, the host and guests play together in the host’s game instance.

A session will end if either the host or the guests die, or if a “Separating Shot” is used to retreat back to one’s own game. Matchmaking is done automatically, but passwords can be set to ensure the right players group together as needed. Passwords can be up to eight characters and are only used for co-op play.

Player-versus-Player

Player-versus-Player, or PvP, matches are one-on-one bouts that take place in pre-determined areas. The player being invaded is the host, while the aggressor is the guest.

A match is started when the guest uses the “Ominous Resonant Bell” item to invade a user’s game. The host has either started a co-op session or used an Ominous Resonant Bell as well to trigger the appearance of a Bell Chiming Woman. The guest proceeds to invade the host’s game instance, where the two duke it out.

The rules are simple. The host can be invaded when they’re in areas with the Bell Chiming Women, who normally appear either as part of c-op play or when an Ominous Resonant Bell is used (though there are occasionally areas where she’s just present in general from the start), an guest can return back to their own game once they’ve defeated the host (or have been defeated by the host). Killing the host will grant them a reward.

A session will also end if the host enters a boss room, or if a Separating Shot is used to return the guest player to his own game.

Asynchronous Multiplayer

Blooborne also has asynchronous online element. Players can leave hints and messages for other players in other game worlds. Graves are erected where players have fallen in the game world, and touching them replays how they died. And players can see phantom images of other players running around in the same areas for a limited amount of time. So it’s essentially Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls in this area.

Chalice Dungeon

Chalice Dungeons are split into two types: normal and randomly generated. Both can be played offline and online, but random ones require connecting to the internet once in order to connect to a server and download data. Players’ Chalice Dungeons can be publicly accessible and shared online.

Updates

An update will go live on release day, which will include online optimizations, enhanced game performance and usability, and a few other things.

PlayStation Plus

Sony clarifies that PlayStation Plus is required for co-op and player-versus-player, but not required for downloading updates and getting the necessary data to generate a Chalice Dungeon.

That doesn't really sound that great. It's just co-op boss fights?
No, it's co-op to get through a dungeon that has a boss at the end, like how the Souls games work. There are obviously normal enemies you have to fight as you progress.

Couldn't you host your regular account over on the inverted access page every so often to have the best of both worlds? Then you don't have to abandon it entirely if you still want the followers. Could also use it as a way to have like regular scheduled streams on IA and more random/casual ones on your own page.
I was actually going to say that since I noticed that option in the settings. Invertedaccess can host tyler streams and then you would get notifications on both? might be a good idea?
I can do that but then it splits the chat. It also doesn't send out email notifications for the channel that is hosting, only the main channel.

I set it up so my Tylerh account is hosting the Inverted account, so people can watch the stream there if they want. But I want to get people over to the new channel, the Inverted Access one. I mean, i'm only giving up 200 followers and it's not like they all came to my stream regularly. The active viewers total will be basically exactly the same because it's made up of you guys and some guys from Paul's stream, and I can still actively advertise the stream to both of those groups.

Anyway to transfer files between a laptop with a dead screen? Usb?
Yeah, USB stick is fine. Other options:

- hook it up to an external monitor/tv, copy files you care about to google drive

- put the new and old laptop on the same network. Figure out the old laptop's IP from your router. On new laptop go start -> run and enter \\old.laptop.ip\c$ and copy files over the network (may not work from Chromebook, Mac and Linux can do this too). Will need to provide credentials. Dunno if this is windows version dependent

- remove the old drive and connect it to a cheapo sata/sas to USB converter and copy direct

- once upon a time there was a weird windows to windows copy mechanism you could do over a regular USB cable (ie USB on both sides). Never used it.

You could actually do it before with a crossover ethernet cable and both computers in the same Windows workgroup.

Yes, you apparently are of the 30% of players who booted up the game but didn't beat the first boss of Demon's Souls.
You mean the big ass Knight right? If I remember correctly I only beat it because there was a ridiculously easy "cheat" where you could shoot arrows from a spot that he couldnt hit you from right?

...No, I think that's the second boss. The first boss is Phalanx:

The giant blob surrounded by smaller blobs, the knight you aren't even supposed to face that early. the dev intended progression is to clear the first level of the 5 worlds (they are of similar difficulty) and then move on to the second level of the five worlds. Going from 1-1 to 1-2 is like going from level 1 straight to level 6. That's why they put up a roadblock at the end of that boss so you don't try and go on to 1-3 next and get slaughtered by everything.

Yeah and all that is exactly why I cant play those games. Why the fuck is it so goddamn complicated?!

Oh by the way I dont remember the game ever saying anything about levels so this 1-1 and 1-2 stuff comes from where? Oh thats right, someone had to make a guide to tell you that. Right?

Freedom to try, it's the same thing in Dark Souls. There is a path from the start that offers the least resistance, but the player is free to weather the harder paths if they choose, they don't lock it off from them. You get stuck on one level, that's why there are 4 others to choose from in Demon's Souls. It's just so many people are hard-wired for a linear progression that rather than try a different level 1 they go straight into level 2.

The key being to actually advertise it as I was left out from watching last night when I wanted to watch as I didnt know about this new channel.

The first number is made up because it would be damn tedious to list out the name of the world every time you talk about it. So the first level entered was designated 1 by the community and then the rest were given a number by moving clockwise around the room, but every time you kill a boss a new waypoint is added to the world's archstone which you can jump to from the hub world, clearly dividing the world into separate levels.

Don't know if any of y'all are into Muse, but they announeced they have a new album coming out June 8th.  Here's the first song/video from it.  I dig it a lot more than the lead singles from the last two albums.  More of a return to their heavier roots.

I think I just stumbled onto something. It appears this Playroom thing takes 30 minutes to get 100% and 24 trophies. I bet this is why our boy Velo has a PS4 camera! He bought it just for these 24 trophies! Good job Velo!

#commons4life

I also assume that since he bought the camera just for this purpose he figured it would be better to actually get some use out of it so he also uses it for all our game chats!

Why would anyone think to go from 1-1 straight to 2-1? That's pretty dumb. It's different for differences sake.
As in, they try the second level of the Boletarian Palace, and won't stop trying the second level of the Boletarian Palace, and give up playing when they get stuck on the Boletarian Palace instead of stop trying to beat the second level of the Boletarian Palace and instead trying Stonefang Tunnel, The Tower of Latria, the Shrine of Storms, or the Valley of Defilement.

I've always loved that video and want to see a full movie in that universe. Sing for Absolution is one of my favorite albums. Wore that shit out during my actually finish college this time days. Saw them live for the first time a couple years ago and it did not disappoint.

So I guess the annual credit report.com site doesnt work anymore?  We were supposed to be able to get our credit reports completely free from this site a few years ago.  And it worked the first 2 years I tried it.  Now it has been two years in a row where they wont honor my request and cant do it online.

I googled a bit and apparently this happens to most everyone now.  Anyone here get to their credit report on annualcreditreport.com recently?

Now that I actually listened to that new Muse song...it's kind of meh (is it my imagination, or does it sound a bit like "Uprising"?). I was disappointed by their last album, so this doesn't bode well.
