I feel like I've hit a brick wall with Flame Over. Getting to the last set of levels feels impossible. Patch in easy mode please lol.

The game wouldn't be so bad if they didn't scale to your upgrades. Now that I have all upgrades even going back to the first or second set of levels can be annoying with every room seemingly completely covered in flames or acid. Stupid accurate as fuck fireballs that insta-kill survivors.

Vblanc hasn't made a lot of games, so Retro City Rampage is a big part of his life. I can see why he'd address criticisms that literally seem unfair. At both of the gaming sites I've worked for, we would try to assign a game to someone who likes that style of game. We wouldn't assign a retro-style game to someone who doesn't like pixel art and chiptunes.

Once someone made these really specific and yet totally unfair criticisms of one of my reviews, and I spent a lot of time addressing his non-points. In his case, he didn't understand how reviews work and proudly remained ignorant even after I provided a bunch of explanation. And that is why I hate people now. But my point is, I really care about everything I do, and it's surely the same way for a small indie dev who put a lot of personal effort into his game.

Played Helldivers tonight with a friend, accidentally nuked myself several times. At one point during an escort mission a random dropped into our game and played with us for a couple minutes before deciding we were terrible. He killed both of us with a shotgun, then got murdered by some bugs and quit. It was actually pretty funny even though it was a dick move. 

 
Jamestown+ is legit! Lots of fun. The DLC is available and costs $1.99. I was able to buy it in game. It adds four ships with unique weapons and 4 trophies (two bronze, one silver, one gold), each trophy associated with one of the ships.

I'll try to get my kids to play it, but I kind of doubt they'll like it. Pro tip: if you want to save not only trophy time, but level unlocking time, play on Legendary from the start.

One tip for the lab that the dev gave me is that the green acid fire you should put out with the extinguisher, then spray with water to clean up the floor. That will make that go out faster. I haven't played today so haven't had a chance to try it.

I haven't noticed any scaling for upgrades. I don't think it does that. The game is just super hard to begin with. Also the randomness of levels means that sometimes you get a cruelly difficult level. Maybe you just got hit with a string of them.

yeah -- we had to pick these for my bracket at work. I guess we did not for our contest. I will say I do not think these teams are any more mediocre and unremarkable then about 40 other teams in this tournament. They all play on a "neutral" court as well -- except for Dayton-- who was the last team in--- The chairman of the selection committee said if UCONN had won then Dayton was out. The NCAA is crazy in all ways

 
I really wish that PS3 had remote play like the PS4. Would be so much easier for me to play these games.

It's really a joke this year, so much preference for inferior big conference schools. Never heard the CBS commentators react live the way they did to the bracket and the one basically did the whole "no offense but..." thing to the chairman. Then you have all these regions playing games on the same courts this week and the East and South playing games in Seattle and craziness like that.

Well that's crappy.  Random.org chose The Hungry Horde for me to play next on Vita which sounded kind of fun.  Look up the trophy guide and apparently when they released DLC for it they made it impossible to get the platinum without shelling out $2 for the DLC.  Thanks Obama.

 
2 new trophies tehcro in the warframe update. both are pretty high level involving a difficult planet and nightmare missions which involve beating all missions on a planet.

 
Now I know what all you guys that hate sports talk about when being able to skip a bunch of posts to catch up on the thread.  Its thrilling!

I love sports but dont really care about basketball surprisingly.  I pretty much Christmas Treed the bracket in our PSNOT group on ESPN.  Other than Duke and Kentucky since I can count on at least one of them going all the way.  Right?

Damn you man. I have to wait until its super cheap since I didnt go for GW3 and Stardust. But you really make me want to get this.

I was so tired last night that I coudlnt concentrate on Hardline so I stopped after the first episode. I started watching this Total Recall remake and man Kate looked really good. Especially next to Jessica Biel. I only saw her face through the first 30 minutes (then I fell aslep) but she looked like a dude. She really needs to show off her best ASSets instead of trying to compete with Kate in headshots.

 
Next week's Target ad says you can save $20 on Borderlands: The Handsome Jack Collection by trading in The Pre-Sequel. I'm not sure if that interests anyone here, but there you go. You can also get a $20 PSN card for $5 if you buy one with Bloodborne.

Looks like Tennis in the Face got three separate trophy lists for it's 3-way cross-buy goodness.  So that's three sets of trophies for $5.  It's actually a pretty fun game too.  I mean, who doesn't like hitting hipsters and clowns in the face with tennis balls?

I played the free demo or whatever of Tennis in the Face on my phone a few years ago.  It was very basic just hit the ball to watch it knock things down.  Like Angry birds but without the slingshot.

While there are a lot of levels, there's not much replay in going back to them after you beat them fully unless you really like to up your high score. And you can mow through them really quickly. That said, it is really fun to go through the levels. I'm only on the third set of levels, of (I think) 6 total sets. Trophies are pretty easy and you don't have to fully beat every level to get them all.

I would probably say wait for cheaper, since it's a glorified (very fun) mobile game. These people also made Sparkle 2 and King Oddball, so I'm not sure how often those have gone on sale though.

Pretty much everything will transfer over, and while Xbox owners can only go one way from 360 to the Xbox One, Sony platforms can upload or download saves to all three supported platforms (PS3, PS4, and Vita). Also, uploading saves just copies the file without deleting the source data. Sweet!
Now for the bad news. Anything from Claptrap's Secret Stash will not transfer, so Gearbox recommends moving items to your bank first. Also, trophies and achievements will need to be re-earned, and Golden Keys will not transfer. The developer is combating these negatives by granting you bonus badass rank and 75 Golden Keys each for returning Borderlands 2 and Pre-Sequel players.

I know there's not a lot of love for TxK here, but I thought it was fun (admittedly I don't like it quite as much as I remember loving Tempest 2000 - mainly because he goes overboard with the rotating levels). Anyway, Atari has dropped a bomb and TxK for PS4 (and PC, Oculus, GearVR and Android) are canceled. Apparently all this stuff was pretty much ready to go too.

Okay chewy you've convinced me to get it too. I'll try to stream it for all you white collar workers in a bit once I'm done with this class.

Tennis in the Face looks like a pos game but I'll guess I'll try out the demo and see for real.

I would have felt sorry for the guy until I looked at his twitter feed. He had Atari come down on him so he decided to out 2 other games that were Tempest clones on his feed? That is almost as big of a douche move as Atari is pulling.

None of those interest me except maybe J&D despite the Vita version's problems since it'd be $3.33/game. I also heard that TWAU has a noticeably worse frame-rate on Vita.

I really liked him as the nerdy lawyer with Will Smith in that movie I cant remember the name of.

EDIT: Hitch! I thought that movie was entertaining. Of course part of that was Eva Mendez.
