I finally finished The Last of Us. I'm not going to play it on the PS4. Those MP trophies are a pain. I'm going to finish up AC IV now. I need to reach level 55 in mp and I'll have the plat. I've managed to plat Dying Light, The Last of Us, The Order and First Light this month. I'm going to start up Infamous SS after I finish AC IV. ISS mixed in with SOM will be the last games I play this month. I'll start up the Handsome Collection next month.
guess on the amount of hours it took to get the online trophies for last of us? I only need those to get the plat but not sure I want to do it.. Also heard you can miss objectives and have to start all over-- -- I would need a new system if that happened

It's not that bad if you skip matches, but it will still take a while. Each gold is 84 matches, and you have to play through twice. Skipping matches can cut that number by a third (or fourth if you're ballsy). Don't worry about the challenges - you can save the easy challenges for the 100% loss days - challenges like healing teammates and crafting stuff are really easy. And you have three matches to fulfill the requirements, and I think you can even dashboard quit games and they don't count if you still can't meet one. Just don't do something stupid like skip all the matches when you have 100% loss penalty.

All you have to do is play. That's it. There's also a shitload of easy challenges you can use for the 100% risk missions if you're worried about it.

Wow, Heavy Fire is off to a great start. The fuck ing title screen is blurry! Def not HD!
Well after two levels I can honestly say I would love it if they had actually put $10 into the graphics and maybe a $1 into PS3 controls. If so this would be a great light gun/on rails shooter. The "level" design is entertaining and interesting. I will gladly play for 6 hours and get an easy plat for less than a dollar.

Oh and it turns out that this game defaults to 3d. So thats why it was blurry.

NOT! It is still blurry with 3d off and now its real dark too. Cant even see the faces of my black co soldiers,

Are you using Move or regular controller?

Well each match usually lasts about 10 minutes with a 4-5 minute reset in between matches. The load time in between matches Is what really irked me. If you do the skip method, you will have to play around 30+ matches for each faction. This is dependent on how quickly you fulfill the 100% risk mission requirements. There are 5 such missions for each faction. Save the easiest missions for these days. I played through all 84 matches for the Firefly Faction and skipped nearly 2/3 of the Hunter Faction matches. I think if you skip 2/3 of the matches you can get both gold trophies in around 15 hours.

On a side note: Thanks to Stotch for recommending skipping days to speed things up.

Looks like we're off to a great start:

Bloodborne is an interesting mix of everything From Software has learned throughout its storied developmental career. Not everything will gel with fans old and new, but for the most part, the shift towards a combat-oriented game is a net positive. From Software is still one of the only developers left that makes you work for your satisfaction, and Bloodborne is damn satisfying.

thanks Simmias, Cro, and Kerouac --  guess I need to get on it.  I want to stay on schedule for having more Plats then Gator by 2021

Mostly 9's that I've seen for Bloodborne.

Ok, there is only one music track so far that plays while you are riding in the jeep in Afrika and it is entirely inappropriate. You are going from the base to the site or from the site back to base at a leisurely pace, and the music that plays is a sound-a-like to an Indiana Jones chase theme. I could see this track playing when you are driving along side trying to capture a photo of a running cheetah or lion or something, but they really should be playing a more laid back tune when driving at 10-15 miles per hour and there are no animals around.

Me and Munky are going to start playing Borderlands 1 tomorrow because we're idiots and cheap and not getting the Handsome Collection.

Anyways, if you want to play with us (starting at Level 1, don't want anyone overpowered) and can play for a few hours on weekday nights for the next couple weeks then him me or munky up or just post.

This is another example of why I would make a shitty reviewer. I am sure the same thing happened when I played and I would not think twice. I rarely if ever think, this music is awesome or this music is out of place. It just isn't something that consciously affects my view of a game.

While Afrika is one of those not really a game games, I loved every second of playing it.

No but it was super cheap a while ago. I passed on it though since it was a GameSpy online thing and was broken at the time.

Heavy Fire was the game where you could blow up tanks with your pistols with enough shots :)

platted both like a boss ;)
Yeah this game really is fun. If they would have had a budget it would be awesome. The graphics are so bad and blurry I keep shooting my own guys cause they all look the same and they keep running out in front of me when I turn. Fun game.

It's fun so far, it's just the option to end safari is greyed out currently so rather than fast traveling back to the camp site after taking photos I have to wait for the 2-3 minute ride back to the base and when there is nothing else to focus on and they play the same, slightly over the top tune every time it is hard not to notice.

And I could be down for some Borderlands 1 if you don't midn someone that kinda sucks at shooters and sometimes accidently throws grenades or deploys the special weapon when I mean to jump or shoot. I have a level 7ish guy but I can start over with someone new.

That sounds funny enough to inspire me to finally start playing my complete copy.

I'm getting way too tempted to go pick up Bloodborne tomorrow with the intention of playing it all day (and then not even opening it most likely).  Buying games at full price though...  :puke:

And yes, GCU is considered full price now.
