:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

The Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition adds some new playable characters and a new mode:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_j_0D5PFhy0

It seems like it'll only be available digitally from what the email I got mentions for release details:

"Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition is currently in development for PC, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and will be available to purchase as a digital download in Summer 2015."

Game of Thrones Episode 3 is out tomorrow.

Hey - no, its any purchase. But beware, the way you redeem it is strange. I kept expecting an emai lor something but it doesn't go that way. You have to link your psn account to your sony rewards for the credit card (which is very easy), and then you add the "reward" of a $50 psn card to your cart on the sony credit card website and when you go to checkout it is free. This confused the hell out of me and for almost a year I thought they stiffed me on the reward.

Thought this might be a good place to ask even though it's slighlty OT, anybody here have the Playstation Credit card from CO? in order to get the $50 PSN code for my first purchase does it have to be on PSN? I only ask because under the terms it only says "after first qualifying purchase" then there's nowhere that says what is a qualifying purchase. I'm just going to use it for PSN anyway so I get bonus Sony points, but I want to get my new account perk lol.

Some shady shit is what happened.

BBY computers dont allow selling before streetdate so it was an override for sure. Maybe a friend.
Or maybe he ordered it online and it came in the mail early? That's a much more plausible scenario. I admit I didn't look back to see what he said but those that got it early are usually shipped orders.

I bought Klonoa: Door to Phantomile to play on my PSP during the sale the other day, and I made it to world 2-2. But after I finish the level and ride the Fish into the giant conch shell, my PSP turns off. It's happened twice so far. Is it a game glitch?

If I buy two PS4's, two physical Diablo games, but only have one PS+ account attached to both systems.  Will I be able to play the game online from both systems at the same time?

The PS4 that you're giving to someone else should be made your primary console. Put your PSNID on it and have the other person have a PSNID as well. On your primary console only you need to have PS+ for all users to receive the benefits.

Your Ps4 will still be able to use all PS+ benefits, only caveat being that it will need to be connected to the Internet at all times. So if you feel like playing a PS+ game you got for free but your wifi is down then you can't.

Also, if you guys are going to be playing straight (no modded weapons, cheating, etc.), feel free to add me. Langtrain23.

Online is pretty much a joke if you're just joining random groups, because you're all but guaranteed to get one cheater in your party... which ruins the experience for everyone else.

Question for everyone else: What PS+ Vita games from the last 6 months are must-play-nows? Also, someone asked in one of the Vita/PSN threads a few weeks ago which games are good for a quick co-op run. I can't find where it was, but does anyone remember what the top choices were?

I really like having Rogue Legacy, Spelunky, and Luftrausers available for a quick run when I have a free minute. Dead Nation (too cheap to pass up) fits that category as well. Borderlands is fun, but I hate clearing a big area, then blowing myself up because the edge of my right thumb taps the screen as I go to open up a loot crate (however, since this is my first BL experience, I'm now keeping my eye on the Handsome Collection... apparently I fuck ing love loot games). I also just picked up Freedom Wars for $15 from Wally. Haven't tried it yet, but I'm excited to.

Now that the flash sale is over I'm making some last minute decisions on the PS2 classics currently on sale.  I've seen high praise for Nocturne but are any of these $4.99 games not worth playing at all?  I'm trying to trim my list down to a top 5.

Disgaea: Hour of Darkness
Growlanser: Heritage of War
Odin Sphere
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs the Soulless Army
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs King Abaddon
Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga
Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 2
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne
Stella Deus: the Gate of Eternity

I would definitely go with those. I've played a bit of Devil Summoner, Odin Sphere, and Stella Deus but not enough to recommend them over others. I have played Growlanser but that one is the worst of the series, atleast out of the four games released in the west. Not a good way to start that series, but if you played the others and enjoyed them already I'd say it's not bad for 5 bucks.

Digital Devil Saga 2 is good but will likely be on sale several times by the time you finish the first one as you shouldn't play those out of order.

The South Park tables for Zen Pinball 2 will be on sale for half off for the next week starting today. Be sure to buy it on PS3 or Vita first if you want it on everything via Cross Buy.

This is your top 5. I can't recommend Disgaea enough, and although this is just the first in the series and the D2 has a lot more in it, it's a necessary introduction to the universe. Characters from this game are integral story elements in future games as well. If you get this, be prepared to sink in at least 200 hours. There's an infinite amount of things to do in this game! Odin Sphere is equally great. The hand-drawn graphics are gorgeous, and it's filled with Norse lore. The SMT games are all relatively the same, so much so that they all become a blur after a while. Nocturne is the best of the lot. And if you buy DDS 1, you might as well get DDS 2.

Thanks for the input. My PS2 collection is pretty slim and the Persona games are my only SMT experience. I do wish they would figure out how to make them playable on the Vita though so I could stop buying PS3 stuff.

Disgaea 1 is worth playing. I like the characters, it's a fun story, and if you just do the main story it's not crazy long maybe 50-60 hours I guess.

Odin Sphere is fun but hard. You will have to get used to the weird seed system for getting stats but it's fun. Great graphics and the PS3 version supposedly gets rid of slowdown in the original version. Good game though and Muramasa would kind of go own to evolve this game system.

A demo for The Crew will be out today:

"Today, Ubisoft® announced that a free trial of the action-driving MMO The Crew™ is available today on PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, and will be available March 25 on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft. New players will be able to hit the road in this free two-hour trial and keep all of their progress should they decide they want to continue by purchasing the game."

Not it isn't. I got the confirmation my in-store pickup was ready and they handed it to me. It has happened a couple times. I didn't walk to the shelf and get it.

Their only hope is either selling to Sony for PS+ or converting to F2P and selling content and cars. Game's finished otherwise.

Web store is in the process of being updated, Metal Slug 3 is up and the God of War discounts are now live.

Many Sony really cleaned me out with that flash sale. Hopefully this week is back to a $0 week for me. I ended up 10 more games after my mass purchase.

Pretty sure Neo Geo cabinets were 2 player only.
The individual cabinets were however they had could link two cabinets together for some games to make 4 player. There were only a few games (none were Metal Slug titles) that had this feature. League Bowling, Riding Hero, Thrash Rally (aka Rally Cross CD), and an unreleased game, "Kizuna Encounter Special Edition". So there were 4 player games, just not Metal Slug... though there were some misprints out there on some retail ports of the games that state 4 players.

Hey don't grab that God of War: Ascension Ultimate DLC Bundle Free if you plan to get the bundle with the game.

It disqualifies you from being able to buy God of War: Ascension Ultimate Edition for $12.  So that just leaves the $19 regular version or physical.

Cool. I was hoping Ascension would be $10 or less. I bought the God of War Saga, so now I have all the games.

Whoa, it's 34 GB. Looks like I'll be replacing my 120 GB hard drive with the 500 GB hard drive that used to be in my PS4 after all. When I bought a PS3 I thought I would just play a dozen or so exclusives. Most of them purchased on disc. But with all the great sales PSN has been having my digital collection has been growing. And then there are the PS+ games.

Sure am glad I was one of those few suckers who got the season pass & game full price way back when. >_<
The people that bought the Titanfall pass over the last two months when it was constantly on sale before MS made it free forever like two weeks ago understand your plight.

The DLC bundle must have been free before because both tiles on the sale page are "unavailable" for me now. It's too bad the vanilla version is not part of this sale, I would have definitely picked it up if it was.

Stella Deus: the Gate of Eternity
All are worth trying, at least.

I'd go with

1) Nocturne

2) SMT DDS

3) Disgaea

4) SMT DS

as your top 4.

Nocturne is generally and rightfully considered the best SMT game. DDS is also great, though replaces demon fusing with a fixed party system (you're still demons, just not mixing and matching). I disagree with Blade that all SMT games are all 'relatively the same'... they share a similiar combat system, look, and demon-pedia, but the mechanics can be quite different outside of that. I realize that sounds like they're very similiar (and they are in some ways) but when you're actually playing them the differences far outweigh the similiarities in my opinion.

I don't like Odin Sphere. I wanted to, but it's more like a Dragon's Crown brawler than an rpg imo... i just couldn't deal with it. It's well loved though, so you might.

Devil Summoner has a lot to love too. Demon fusing mixed with an action version of the SMT combat system. Catching and then fusing demons is very fun.

Disgaea is worth your time. If you can lose yourself in it you'll love it. It's nowhere near as complicated as it feels at first.
