:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

Sorry to post this here, but what happened to being able to e-mail Sony tech support?

I have 3 systems activated on my account under "game". I don't see how this is possible, because I only have a PS3 and a PS Vita. And when I go to my download list to download something, it gives me the option to download it to "both Vitas". I only have one!

What's the deal? My only option is to "deactivate all," which I can apparently only do once per year.

And clicking "contact us" just leads to a multitude of useless support articles.
Do you have a PSTV? If so, it counts as a Vita. If not, and you've never had a 2nd Vita or PSTV, then you probably need to call them.

The download size is also a little much (around 37 GB), so I'll probably end up renting this from Gamefly.

So tempted but I won't get to play it soon with everything else coming out and I have a feeling it's bound for PS+.. don't want to get burned again like with Teslagrad and all the other times this has happened in the past.. decisions.. decisions..

This is what's happening to me now. I tried to add a second PS3 and it says I had three attached already. This is prob from when my acct was hacked. They said I would have to wait 6 months (Dec) to deactivate all systems before I can add my two to my account; this is supposedly to prevent people from connecting allot of PS3s to one account. I informed them they should have a back door on their end to deactivate all so customers wouldn't have to wait six months to fix the problem. I hate sony.

I guess the Journey cross-buy didn't count for the Summer Play "buy 2, get 10% off voucher" promotion, since I got Journey cross-buy and bought Galak-Z and didn't get a voucher.  I doubted it would count, but I was hoping :(

Its funny the discussion about registered systems as I was just looking at mine yesterday and it showed my PS3's as PS3 #2 and PS3 #3. PS3 #1 wasn't on the list but I know what it was... it was my original PS3 before my Harddrive upgrade. So be aware that if you start fresh with a new harddrive without restoring a backup (which is what I ended up doing because my backup failed and I didn't want to go through the hassle of trying the entire process again) in a PS3 it will bump the numbers as well. Granted, I'm still only showing the two active systems... but the numbering is off.

PSTV... aka VitaTV... of course shows as a Vita on my account. As an active PSTV gamer, I don't think it's possible for me to ever forget I have that wonderful little system. Not that I've ever forgotten systems I own, but I can see how it could happen if you don't play it much.

That's pretty much what I expected. Journey was a crossbuy upgrade to a past purchase so it probably has the old original purchase date tied to it instead of one that falls in the promotion period.

If you're eligible for the upgrade to Minecraft on PS4 for $4.99, it's potentially going to end at any point now since tomorrow is the one year anniversary of when the upgrade launched. Grab it now before it's over.
Thanks. I did this though I have never played. When my boy gets a ps4 he loves the ps4 version

Destiny Update 2.0 launches on 9/8:

You have one more weekend to experience Destiny as it has existed in Year One. On September 8th, the deployment of Update 2.0 will change the way we play. Next week, we’ll deliver complete patch notes to keep you occupied. Here’s a tactical preview for how things about to change:

Character
  • Character Level Cap for all players will be raised to 34
Level Cap for The Taken King will be 40
  • You will be able to level up by gaining XP alone
  • Character Level and Light are now separate statistics
  • Your Character Level will be grandfathered into your highest possible Light Level from all gear in your inventory and vault

[*]Attack and Defense ratings for armor and weapons will be translated to the new systems - their power levels will be unchanged
[*]Grimoire Score has been moved from the Character Nameplate and now displays in the Character Screen

Quests
  • A Quest Screen will be added to your Menu
  • Tracks all active Quests
  • Abandoned Quests can be recovered in the Hall of Guardians
  • Year One Activities have been converted to the Quest system
Bounties
  • Bounty slots will be increased to 16
  • Incomplete Year One Bounties will be auto-abandoned on 09/08 in preparation for launch of The Taken King
  • Incomplete Year One Exotic Bounties are auto-completed with their respective Vendors
  • Year One bounties issues by Eris will be retired
  • Reputation with Crota's Bane can continue to be earned by completing Quests in The Taken King
Tower
  • Collections have been added to the Tower
Emblems/Shaders can be found near Eva Lavante
  • Ships can be found near Amanda Holliday

[*]Exotic Armor and Weapon Blueprint added to the Tower
  • You will now have the Blueprint for all Exotics you own in your Collection
  • Report to the Vanguard in the Hall of Guardians

Inventory
  • Motes of Light will be used to grant XP to Weapons and Armor
  • Class-specific Armor materials will be deprecated in favor of a unified Armor Material
  • Vanguard Quartermaster, Roni-9940, will exchange old materials for armor material [Update: This change takes effect on 09/15]
Weapons & Armor
World
  • Fallen Wolf Hunt Patrols will retreat in anticipation of the arrival of Oryx in your solar system

As promised, full patch notes will be revealed next week. Based on this preview, our Live Team has some last minute suggestions for how you might best spend your final moments in Year One:
  • Complete those Year One Bounties
  • Don’t delete characters or dismantle items just yet
  • Try the Year One campaign again
  • Jump into the Crucible for some new action
  • Try your beloved Auto-Rifles again
  • Destroy remaining Wolf Packs and loot their chests for Ether Keys
  • Complete your House of Wolves Grimoire as it applies to hunting in the wild
  • Complete your Moments of Triumph [time extended – read below]

Got it? Good. You have approximately three days from the time that this blog article became a thing to make good on your last milestones of action and adventure. Gather ye Spinmetal while ye may!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Making the jump from Year One to Year Two will be a daring stunt worthy of a Guardian like you. Fortunately, you have support. That's Destiny Player Support, if you can dig it.

DPS: There are lot of changes coming with the 2.0 update on September 8th. So let’s rush into a few key items you’ll need to know, because we ain’t got time to bleed.

What’s leaving Destiny when you download the 2.0 update:
  • Vanguard & Crucible Marks: Activities where you previously earned Vanguard/Crucible marks will now grant Legendary Marks. On Tuesday, your current Vanguard/Crucible marks will converted into faction commendations. [Update: This change takes effect on 09/15]
  • The Elder Cipher will no longer drop upon completion of the Skolas Challenge Arena in the Prison of Elders. The Exotic items offered with the Elder Cipher will now have a chance to drop from the Prison of Elders Treasure Chest.

What’s going to be required to install the 2.0 update:

  • If you’re playing Destiny on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, you’ll need around 18GB of hard drive space free. We recommend turning on any console features that will automatically download game updates, when available.
  • If you’re playing Destiny on PlayStation 3, you’ll need about 20GB of hard drive space free to download and then install the update. Once the update is fully installed, you will only need around 10GB free.
  • If you’re playing Destiny on Xbox 360, you’ll need around 10GB of hard drive space free.
  • You can read more about the Hard Drive Requirements for the Destiny 2.0 update here.
What’s the best way to send off Year One of Destiny:

  • The Moments of Triumph have been extended to September 14, 2015 at 11:59 PM PDT (6:59 AM UTC). You can check your progress by visiting the Moments of Triumph progress page as part of your Legend.
  • Remember that your Moments of Triumph are tied to your active character roster. With the new Quest system and 2.0 changes incoming, we understand the appeal to start a new character. However, deleting a character to do so may jeopardize your progress towards the Moments of Triumph. We recommend waiting until you’ve secured your Emblem before deleting any characters that contributed to your Moments of Triumph progress.

Anyone know how to use a different account on pstv?
Settings App -> Playstation Network -> Sign Out

Then sign in on whatever account you wanted.

Unless you mean creating system accounts like on PS3/PS4... which isn't (to my knowledge) possible as this is essentially a handheld system turned into a console. Still, changing PSN accounts will change where saves are backed up and that kind of thing.
Calling all other PS4 MGS V players. Been playing this game like crazy.
Currently have 17 hours in the game with only like 12% game completion.

I'm crazy impressed and I'm not even a huge MGS fan.

There will be a new $400 PS4 bundle on 10/9 that includes the Uncharted collection with the 500 GB PS4.

Drive!Drive!Drive! is coming to PS4 and Vita next year. It's a racing game where you can race on up to six tracks at the same time.

Oh so I have to use the app and sign out there? Every time I sign out of ps tv on my ps tv and try to sign in with a different account it keeps saying only the account I registered it with would be able to log in

Just like the Vita, you can only have one account on the PSTV at one time. You would have to reset the PSTV each time you want to change accounts.

Anyone tried zombie vikings? Looks like some old school tmnt gameplay vibe I could get into.
I think it reminds me more of Castle Crashers. It looks really good. I'm pretty pissed it didn't win Vote to Play. People are so dense. Grow Home looks really cool but it's a single player only game that costs $8 and doesn't have a 'full' trophy list. ZV is 4-player co-op, costs $20 and has a plat. No brainer which should have won, based on the cost alone. If you loved Grow Home so much you knew it woukd be discounted even if it lost so that's like $6. So dumb.

I really want to get it, especially with the discount, but with so much to play right now, including MGS just releasing, I don't think I can justify it.

Best Buy has some good clearance stuff for PS4 for those interested in NBA 2K14, MLB 14, Skylanders Swap Force, and Rabbids Invasion for $10-$12 or less if you have GCU.
oooh!!! Angry Birds Star Wars on clearance for 40.99! I'll take ten!

That Swap Force clearance is good even just to get the 3 characters (that I believe would work with Trap Team)...but I'd imagine any of us idiots who would buy it, already have it and all of the extra characters.

Cost doesn't define a game. It seems that people are more interested in the revival of 3D platformers then a multiplayer game. To be fair sony is also discounting the 2 games that aren't picked for free on plus (then you own them forever too!).
