F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
From Amazon: Get deep discounts on open-box, like-new, refurbished, or used products that are in good condition but do not meet Amazon.com's rigorous standards as "new".

Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, new but with damaged packaging product aka "dinger" and trade ins in generally like new condition. They are considered 3rd party by affiliation and as such the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" distinction but are still part of Amazon.

What is AmazonSmile?

About AmazonSmile

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes! All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken during restocks and or when pricing algorithm goes haywire. During those times, prices don't adjust and assimilate with the current inventory quickly enough to show the sorting as such

I'm waiting for a ps4, xb1, 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it, and or set alerts... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What is this "glitch deals" that I keep hearing about in this thread?

On August 7th, 2014, AWD glitched out similar to how it did around penny deals, except lot of stuff went for cheap instead for a penny. The pricing algorithm went haywire and in the process lot of stuff went for cheap across the AWD spectrum from games to iphones to tablets and everything else in between. The "glitch deal" lasted for maybe a couple of hours and fellow CAGs that were around during that time made out like a bandit. Below is the timeline leading up to the night and the deals that went down on that night.

What do you mean by a "dinger"?
Dinger = Item is new but the packaging is damaged in some way or form.

These are speculative guesses at best going by descritption of any given item and also taking into account the length of time an item has been out since its release. Shorter the span of time from release of a game or console, better the chance of scoring a new item with damaged packaging aka "dinger".

AWD product description says "Factory Sealed", is this item new?
First and foremost, AWD sells used / open box items so in their terms it has been sealed / resealed at an Amazon Warehouse and hence the "Factory Sealed" part so no it isn't necessarily new. It isn't necessarily new because it could go one of two ways:

1. It was traded in / open box return / test unit that was resealed at an Amazon warehouse facility.
2. It was a dinger (new with damaged packaging and with seals intact).

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
First and foremost all games from AWD are considered used unless specified as new. Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and depending on condition they can be perfect / brand new, brand new with damaged packaging aka "dinger" to just a game in a generic case. AWD has 5 condition criteria for their listings and they are:

New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.

Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The box and item are pristine, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Very Good: A well-cared-for video game that has been played but remains in great condition. The game and its original packaging are complete and slightly worn, but unmarked and undamaged. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Good: The video game shows wear from consistent use, but remains in good condition. There may be clear external signs of wear and damage to the original packaging or instructions, but the game plays perfectly. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Acceptable: The video game is fairly worn, but it continues to work perfectly. The box and instructions may be missing or damaged. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Sellers are required to note whether the box or instructions are missing in the condition notes field for the item. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Any game I have personally ever bought in good or above condition has been in near mint condition. Acceptable ones have been a gamble. Getting DLC with games has also been a gamble and since AWD games are considered used, don't expect unused DLC even though there will be occassions where they may come unused. In regards to DLC, ymmv. Conditon wise, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases and inserts, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc. Consoles listed in "acceptable" conditon can be either new in damaged packaging and or a pure gamble in what conditon they will truly be in along with what is included in the box depending on the time frame from release of the console.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

$5.99 credit for Amazon Pantry, but that only covers your shipping. Unfortunately, Pantry does not ship free even with a paid Prime membership. Credits are not stackable...and Pantry options are pretty limited from what I've read.
Ahh ok, I'll keep the 2 day then on my order. I thought it was some mp3 credit or something like that.

Believe that expired yesterday. Mine shows 1 dollar music/movie

I see that too now! Will change it over to that. I can actually use that stuff.
Not sure if you're a pop drinker but pantry has a deal right now if you add 4 coke products it gives you free shipping and adds the free no rush credit*. It is the only way I have seen to make much use of these credits.

I believe it might work on powered also.

Son of B****!

My PS4 is likely broken!

All I get is sound, but no video.

I can hear homescreen music.

Tried 2 tvs, 3 hdmi cables. Same issue.

If I can hear sound, that means the cable/connection is good right?

Maybe a software glitch.

Very excited about my purchases. Got a call from my sister a few hours ago and she was ecstatic. The $45(G) Aqua Blue 3DS arrived home and is apparently like mint. Had the charger and even came with what I'm told is a 3DS stand. Not sure what that means but I don't think it's anything the unit was supposed to come with. She said it's pretty much scratch free, and I had her load up one of my games and it played fine. Hearing the kid so excited over the phone really made that purchase a good one.

For myself today marked the arrival of my NBA2K15 which arrived no problem, but more importantly my $12.xx(A) PS2 slim. I'm happy to report that I couldn't be happier with the PS2. I had ordered an extra DS2 and a memory card having assumed the console would be coming unit only, but to my surprise the console came with, the unit, power brick & power cable, AV cable and a DS2. All the wires to the power brick and AV cables were wrapped up real nice and the DS2 is functional other than a sticky X button. My biggest worry was the unit's laser would be busted but nope. Popped in a PS2 disc and the console booted it up instantly. Made a small bit of sound during boot but for all I know that's normal. Never has a slim before. The second DS2 I'd ordered is practically mint and the memory card has some neat saves on it but is otherwise great. For a total of $20 I could not be more happy.

Congrats! She might have been referencing to this which only came with the original 3ds as they double as a stand:

She just sent me a picture and I think that's totally it. Kind of a blurry picture but it is sitting on the cradle just like in the picture. Very awesome. Pretty cool it turned out to be a launch console and still had that charging cradle. DS2U I may not have gotten much but I couldn't be happier with the purchases I got and I've really got you to thank. I (as well as my sister who has no idea who you are) thank you much. This was a successful sale :D

I know some people have been having issues with their orders but I wish the best of luck to all the rest of you still waiting for your hauls.

Got my G Vita, and other than the box being beat to hell it is like new. Cords were all wrapped up, instructions sealed. Seems to work great, though it wants me to input a credit card I haven't had in 5 years or so because apparently that was the only one I ever had associated with my PSN account, which seems weird. Why does the Vita want that info when the PS3 and PS4 don't seem to care?

When I was setting up my Vita today all it asked was for my PS3 login and that was it. It never asked for a credit card.

I'm guessing that my 3ds aqua (g) was also a launch model. For a minute I thought that they sent me a 3ds xl based on the size of the box. I soon realized that the reason the box was so big was to house the obnoxious text book sized manual.

System is in good condition and came with the stand charger thing.

Did you get a 3g? I was wondering if that was part of it. I have no real intent on set ring up the 3g, but I could see that being the issue, maybe.
Yup, I got the 3G one and it asked me if I wanted to set it up and I just clicked No. So far I've been using it with the Wifi in my house and the 3G message has not popped up again.

The hdmi port is broken. Out of warranty,so $154 for a repair.

If I move the hdmi cable around,it cuts in and out.Safe-mode also has same result, just a black screen.

It's cursed ! It wants to spend your money! The cheap price wad a Trojan horse.

I have a 3g vita & it never asked me for my cc. I just logged in with my psn account. I also never used the 3g feature.

That's weird, logged in and wanted to verify my billing info. I also told it not to set up 3g. Weird. Gave PSN a pre paid card that had a few cents left on it just to get past it.

Compared to the whole, some tiny problems.  My;

Wii Play + Wii remote LN came with game in case only

One of my 160gb PS3 (don't know if it was the A or G, neither with controller although the G actually stated it didn't) is actually 120GB and the disc drive doesn't work.

I guess I'll just have to send those two back.

Its funny, they went over my camera I sent in with a microscope finding light scratches but they missed HDD size, disc drive not working, and no Wiimote.

I would bet my entire videogame collection that drums aren't going to be included. I'd bet they're just the disc only copies from the Amazon Trade In Thread that were actually lucky enough to be accepted.
I think I touched base on that subject over there already but here we are doubting ourselves thanks to how things go down in that thread. Given it is very good and not good, I think it is safer than those 2 grades (acceptable and good) for it to be complete.

I ordered 2 VG and 1 A a month or so back. The VGs were disc and case. The A was disc in a blank case.

That being said. I ordered the VG

Oh boy! Good luck and hopefully you don't get the same ones you returned. Doesn't look like anything else is happening so I am out. Good night everyone and happy hunting. :)

Maybe later on. Only couple of things so far dipped below (and got posted) but it is at that same time when consoles happened.
Darn, I've been trying to go to bed for a while now, but I guess that's not happening soon. :)

Very Good should be complete, but I was doubting it because it said they were missing manuals and cover art. That reminded me that lots of people sent them in disc only, so the barcode wouldn't be scanned and be graded "wrong item." I hope I'm wrong though.

Thank you for this. I couldn't pass this one up. I didn't even know these things existed. I just watched the CNET review and it seems pretty cool for only $4.41.

I missed out on the glitch, but I bought a dslite from a soccer mom yesterday for $10.

Last night, I taped it up in an amazon box and left it on my own doorstep.

Today I opened my door and found the box.

Now I don't feel so left out.

Here is a question for the pros. I'm watching the numbers and they change, but the overall total doesn't change. Does that mean there is stuff coming and going or is it only when the video games category total changes?

The hdmi port is broken. Out of warranty,so $154 for a repair.

If I move the hdmi cable around,it cuts in and out.Safe-mode also has same result, just a black screen.
I had an issue with my ps4 last night where the display didnt show up, and the blue light was kinda pulsing. Removed my hdmi from my tv and ps4 and plugged it back in and everything was good. Hoping it was just a loose cable and not the hdmi port failing

Yeah I cannot even do that since I'm out in the midwest. I can't wait to get back to Arizona time.

Got my Good PSP 3000 yesterday. It came with a 4GB SanDisk Pro Duo card, but it must be defective. Tried reformatting it several times, but I can't save to it. Oddly, the PSP recognizes the presence of the card and the amount of memory. Guess I'll pick up a new card over the weekend and see if that works.

My other observation is that the Wifi isn't compatible with my default router security. Pretty sure I'm using WPA2. I guess I'll have to downgrade the settings.

Does anyone know if it's possible to use two different security measures simultaneously? I'd rather not go back and reset the Wifi password on all my other devices just to get the PSP to connect.

? I my home network uses WPA2 and I thought my PSP worked. Haven't used Wi-Fi in forever though since there isn't a digital PSP game that I already don't have in a UMD...which then becomes "digital" *cough cough*. What about a guest network? You can switch that on for a minute to make sure the PSP still works.

For memory, be cool and be a CAG and buy Micro SD cards and one of these:

http://www.amazon.com/MicroSDHC-Memory-Stick-Static-Package/dp/B00176F2RC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1427980592&sr=8-1&keywords=memory+stick+pro+duo+adapter

http://www.amazon.com/SANOXY%C2%AE-MicroSD-Converts-MicroSDHC-Packaged/dp/B00B6DYDZS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1427980592&sr=8-3&keywords=memory+stick+pro+duo+adapter

The dual MSD adapter though is more subject to breaking as mine did. Of course it's not like it's expensive to replace.

The three security options are:

  • WEP
  • WPA-PSK (TKIP)
  • WPA-PSK (AES)
Tried all 3 and none would work with my existing setup. (Full disclosure: I'm far from knowledgeable on this stuff. These options are all just a bunch of letters to me :whistle2:k)

I think my PSP software is version is 6.35. Maybe they added WPA2 support later? I guess I could try updating it over USB (I'm assuming this is an option).

Thanks for the microSD adapter tip. The CAG in me found an even cheaper one. I think I have a couple 32GB cards lying around from old Droids. Is there a capacity limit what cards will work with the PSP?
