This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

So your "friends" are where you buy your stock from to resell on GamesRocket?
I am not a reseller. This thread is crazy. I am just a guy that looks online for deals alot of the time when it comes to music and games. Actually more so games then music. I don't see anything wrong with doing that.

I'm so done. I have much better things to do then to even post anything related to gaming.

If you want more deals check out Gamesrocket. Its legit and they email you with your serial code. If you live outside the United States and pay with paypal they sometimes might want further proof of id just to prevent fraud, scams, hackers and theft from happening. Some people have complained that they had to send in their passport with a photo Id but I believe most users like that are from outside the United States and not sure how often it happens. I can safely say I've bought from them twice already and have had no issues at all.

Here is there site: www.gamesrocket.com

They have some discounts even on the newest games you can't find anywhere else. Every so often they also have a thing called deal rockets; where they put a bunch of games on sale for a limited time.
If you're wondering why the formatting is off it's because the original post was deleted (whether by mods or you, I don't know), and I'm just copypastaing my earlier quote.

Look, if you're a GamesRocket employee, that's fine. Just be transparent about it.

I'm mostly joking anyways.

HOLY CRAP DUDE ENOUGH WITH THE SPOILERS ALREADY
The best part?

You still get cards from actually playing the game.

Great, in the next few weeks I look forward to makman continuing to make asinine, spoil-ridden comments like "did you guys know pillars of eternity has an ending?" or "i really like the dialogue in this game"

I'd be surprised if this wasn't a pre-order bonus for Phantom Pain. Pretty much the only thing keeping me from buying it.
Not sure if this fact has any effect on things, but if you own Ground Zeroes you unlock the ability to revisit the GZ base within Phantom Pain along with several other unlockables. I don't think they'll give away GZ because it would render the various unlock bonuses pointless, as everyone would then be getting them.

GZ came with a special code in those first run copies of the game for the bonus content, which was also available for a limited time with digital purchases. Neither carry that anymore, so no Konami giving the game away, wont grant those bonuses to everyone

So much to address so despite so little pages. First Chicago pizza is amazing, piss off with not being better then NY floppy grease container*. From the Chicago (non-pizza and sometimes pizza) places out here though, I get the feeling their subs are awful compared to NY/New England.

NY pizza is a lot better then any of the chain pizzas though, that is true. Of the chains I still like Dominos the best, it's the best combination of cheap and not awful. Papa John's, from what I remember, seems the highest quality of the chains and Pizza hut is meh, though I haven't had Pizza Hut in years so they may have slid further down. Been tempted to try Peter Piper Pizza again some point, smelt good one time was near one recently and they are the closest Pizza lunch buffet to me.

*I like NY pizza, just like Chicago pizza more.

Least your pizza doesn't pretend to be actual pizza, unlike Chicago's.
Whoa, whoa. Pretends to be pizza? Chicago style, if done right, and I very much emphasize done right dominates all other puny pizza. A slice is a feast in its own right. Good luck getting the right seasoning in the sauce outside of Illinois from what I hear though. Of course, some places here fuck it up too.

But if we're focusing on sandwiches now, Italian Beef soggy as all hell is where it's at.

I like deep dish pizza, but there really ain't many of those not too, too far around here. Uno's is one of the few - and, of course, that's a chain. But still - MysterD certainly likes it. Hadn't had Uno's in quite a long time - and recently had it; and totally dug it.

What do people who have had deep dish pizza like for that style - from both chains and non-chains?

Whenever I'm in Chicago, I'll hit up Lou Malnati pretty good. And when I visit relatives in Italy the pizza is Fantastic. But different then what we get here. Kind of like Taco Bell as opposed to real Mexican food. Both tasty but both vastly different. NYC pizza still rulez

Having grown up in Chicago, I'm not aware of any deep dish pizza that is *not* a chain. Unless you count Pizzaria Due since it has it's own name, but in reality it's just the second location of Pizzaria Uno.

In order my my personal preference of true "Deep Dish", I'd go Giordano's, Lou Malnatti's, Uno's, Gino's East. Though the pizza I've probably eaten the most in my life (particularly as a kid) is Connie's Pizza, explicitly their "Pan" pizza. It's a thick crust, but not really deep dish (they have a deep as well, but I dont like it that much).

But here's a dirty secret no one talks about - Chicagoans eat more thin crust pizza than deep dish! Thing it, Chicago thin crust pizza is not the big foldable NY-type slices but rather is almost crispy like a cracker and is cut into hand sized near rectangles. Home Run Inn, Reggio's and Italian Fiesta specialize in these. Also, I like Giordano's thin crust only a little less than the deep dish - crispy on the edges/outside soft and buttery on the inside. Yum!

Uno's, outside of Chicago, isn't just a chain -- it's a licensed franchise. The pizza you get at an Uno's in Alexandria, Virginia has nothing directly to do with the pizza you'd get from Uno's in Chicago. Different management, different owners, they just have the right to use the name.

Hmm. That explains why the Union Station (DC) Uno's sucks. The Kingstowne/Alexandria one is mostly like I remember. They still dont use quite enough sauce though.

Papa Del's has the best Chicago style down here. I would claim it's not a chain but they did have to open another small location that is for take out and delivery across town. Yeah once in a while thing though. Way too filling for a regular pizza chow down. Big game, Christmas party, stuff like that.

Monica's is the big chain around here that does the thin and crispy squares. The original is about ten minutes from me. So good. The recipe changed a little bit though and the original is used at a bowling alley another ten minutes along, also spectacular.

On-topic (or is gaming discussion off-topic at this point? :p) - played through Into the Gloom the past couple nights and really enjoyed it. Good horror game that only takes about 2 hours to play. The simplistic, pixel graphics work really well in creating the game's atmosphere. This game recently got Steam keys added in a bundle (old IG greenlight IIRC), so I recommend checking it out.

That's not a pizza at that point, that's a bunch of extremely thick shells baked with toppings stuffed between them. Hell it might as well be something at Taco Bell.

And take your OT chatter out of here... Freak

I'm from NY, and I like the pizza here. Never been to Chicago, but I'm sure my fat ass would like the pizza there too. Chain pizza is gross, but usually cheaper and easier for a group to agree on. There, some reasonable opinions.

This new chain place opened up around here recently, Blaze Pizza. It was okay but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again. Very modern and faux-hipster, and of course overpriced for what you get. It's that thin-crust "artisanal" stuff, which is fine, but they don't cook it long enough and so it's not even crispy. Still better than that creepy-ass Papa John and his cardboard + ketchup pizza of course.

Since we're talking about NY and stuff, I guess this is semi-related.

If any CAGs are from NYC or the neighboring areas and have some free time around 5:30 - 6:30 tonight, shoot me a PM or message me on Steam. Thanks.

Edit: I've been informed that my phrasing is.. concerning. It's just an escape event fun puzzle activity thing.

Edit 2: fuck it, I'll just post the link for those of you who don't know what an escape event is (since the term does sound kind of sketchy).

Try not to judge me too much.

I so want to do an escape room one day. They have a place like that here now too.

You must be in Cham-bana. I havent had Papa Del's in over 15 years. It used to be the biggest treat to have Papa Del's. Usually it was crap like Gumby's or Grog's (R.I.P.). I still crave La Bamba's tortas whenever I drink.
