The thing about the Batman season pass is that it states all the DLC will be released over the 6 month period after the game release.  That really makes it hard to defend this as content being worked on after the game release. It seems obvious some of the content being created now could be included in the base game.

Especially with the multiple delays it has had. It's not the same company, but the Arkham Origins Season Pass was just skins, Bruce Wayne's Initiation Campaign (which was insulting to call that a campaign), and Cold, Cold Heart. Of that, Cold, Cold Heart was okay, but I would not have paid more than $10 for that. The Bruce Wayne DLC was maybe worth $3-5, as they basically did a Nightwing/Catwoman merge, and Bruce Wayne doesn't even talk. And the skins should have been unlockable.

What is most surprising is that the Season Pass for Origins in no way added maps to the Multiplayer, which only has 4 maps to start with.

But let's exclude Origins, and instead focus on City. The DLC for that game (excluding Catwoman; that DLC is like the Harley Quinn DLC for Knight) was a Batman skin pack, Robin for use only in Challenge Maps, Nightwing for use only in Challenge Maps, and Harley's Underwhelming Revenge. There were the additional Challenge maps for the Iceberg Lounge, Carnival Combat, and a Batcave setup, but none of these were particularly interesting.

I knew to expect DLC for this game, as it's the trend, but the history of these games has never been that great with DLCs. I would really, really need to know what it includes to justify such a steep charge.

 
Any thoughts on Remember Me?  I've been eyeballing that game for quite some time as I'm a fan of Cyberpunk themed stuff.  It just seems like that game should be sub $5.00 by now.  It wasn't reviewed particularly well but physical copies are still over $10 most places and this is the cheapest I've seen it digitally.

If you think this is how any DLC is planned or created, you are just fooling yourself. Virtually all DLC is designed and planned well before the game releases and probably in the initial planning stages of the main game. This definitely presents some ethical dilemmas about how it's handled by the developer, but it doesn't mean that DLC is inherently bad or should necessarily be included in the basic game. These developers and publishers have certain budget and time restrictions that were planned from the beginning, so the only way to justify creating the extra content would have been to plan for the additional sales of it. If the base game provides a substantial amount of content to justify its price, then it shouldn't matter when the DLC was devised or created or even how it's delivered (such as on disc).

That being said, it's obvious that many developers and publishers abuse how DLC is handled. Judging by past games, it seems obvious that in this case, the developer/publisher should be given the benefit of the doubt.

I give them the benefit the base game will be fine. I do not think they earned the benefit of the doubt the DLC will be worth $40. Their DLC practices leave a lot to be desired.

Got it on steam and played maybe 2 hours or so. The gameplay is the weakest part, for a capcom game, the combat system really leaves more to be desired. They had some good ideas with the combo creation system, but it falls a bit flat. The gem in this game though is the fantastic graphics and beautiful scenery. The settings are some of the most beautiful video game settings i've ever seen, and you really get immersed into the story because of it. Its a solid 7 out of 10 for me.

If I had an Xbox One, I'd buy Dance Central Spotlight.

 
Cinder comes out in Killer Instinct this week for season pass holders. Next week for everybody else. 100% of money that they get from any KI sales (complete seasons, individual characters, etc.) will go towards tournament prizes up to $100,000. The first $50,000 goes to Evo and the rest gets split up to other events.

Shadow Jago will also be bundled with a KI Gold (paid currency to unlock stuff early). Previously he was only available if you bought limited edition 1 year of XBL Gold. If they reach their goal of $100,000, they will give Shadow Jago his own moveset (right now he is just a skin for Jago).

Starts April 30, so if you were planning on getting KI stuff sooner wait until Thursday.

You mean Cinder, right? He hasn't been in KI since its release? That was easily the best character in all of the previous iterations of the series. No wonder the game got bad reviews. How can you even play as Eyedol if you can't be Cinder first? ;)

Fixed the mistake in my post.

He has been the most requested character after Riptor. He looks like he could be fun to use. I'll be playing him all weekend to decide if I want to keep using him. So far Hisako and Riptor are my favorite to play as in season 2.

Soo I got the original Street Fighter IV (the very first 360 edition) and I got the Arcade Edition from GwG...can someone recommend me to also get the ultra edition add-on? is it worth it?  33% off doesn't seem too much.

And do I have to be aware of anything?..the add-on reads when I buy this I can't download the arcade edition again?

If you have Ultra Edition, you cannot play with people that do not have Ultra. I recommend the upgrade if enough of your friends also have it.

I don't know if you've played the original SNES game, but he was broken in that. His FF+punch was a three-hit juggle move that was infinitely spammable. If you don't block the first one, the match is pretty much over. It leads into his 120-hit Ultimate combo.

They'll probably nerf him in this game to make him less bamf.

Clay Fighters will be talked about when the new game comes out in 2016. I really hope it doesn't get cancelled and will be on Xbox.
 
This week, PSN users can buy Mega Man 9 & 10 on sale as a bundle whereas Mega Man 9 is the only one on sale on XBLA. I find this aggravating since I prefer to use the 360 controller whenever possible.

All 3 packs have different tables. I think the "Full" listings are to differentiate them from the "Trial" ones, though if that's the case, they certainly aren't consistent about it.

I will take that as a no for now..most of my friends moved on to the Xbone..so I might get this when it is cheaper and even less people playing it, but I won't regret it as much as buying it for a higher price now lol.

Bought all 3 packs. Not a Star Wars fan but I love pinball. The only Pinball FX2 tables I've owned until now were the South Park tables but I'm kinda bored with those.

I'm considering Resident Evil and Dead Rising 3 upgrade with all the Capcom costumes for Xbox One and Mega Man 9 and Super Street Fighter/Ultra Street Fighter IV for 360. I'm getting down to my last 50 gb or so on the 360, so I'm wondering if I should avoid downloading the whole Street Fighter game. I've seen the Ultra SF game for $20 on disc at Walmart recently.

Revelations for $3?

Will it get me hooked?

Been interested for a while but just have sooo much crap to play

Trying to finish Shadow of Mordor, and just got SoD which will be several, several hours

I refuse to buy it until the whole thing is on sale at once. This seems like one of those things they're going to put on sale a ton without discounting the rest of it.

So I'm wondering what exactly you're missing from RAID Mode if you only buy episode 1 and not the rest. Obviously you're missing the DLC costumes/characters/maps, but anything else?

I agree without a sale on the other episodes you would still pay 21 bucks right now, could get a retail copy for that (assuming it has all the episodes) even though with just episode 1 you could get 1000 GS and another 960 GS with the other 3 episodes hum...

You'll be missing some characters that are unlocked by playing through the main story. 6 are available with Episode 1. So you'd also be missing character specific skills, which isn't a big deal.

EDIT: Some people are saying you don't get all the levels. Still worth it for the levels that you do get for $3
